Let me clear: This five stars is for an EMPLOYEE at Dickey's. We ordered Dickey's via DoorDash and unfortunately, or order was wrong again. (Not just from here, this continues to happen when using Dash.) Anyway, we called Dickey's and explained what all was missing from our order and CHEYENNE not only was so sweet and kind on the phone, she remade the entire order and included our missing dessert plus a second one with a note. Thank you, CHEYENNE, for not only correcting our order, but improving our experience and our day.

What was in this photo was to good to be true

First time here, got the pulled pork sandwich and a 1/4lb of beef brisket. Very good bbq

The service here was fast but the girl behind the counter was condescending when I gave her my name while picking up and online order. Like other Dickeys locations Ive noticed a distinct difference between ordering in the store and ordering online or on the app. When ordering in store the food size, appearance, and quality are much different. In store, when I order a pulled pork sandwich, the meat is piled high, the bun is fluffy and has a more pleasing look and feel to it. Ordering online or on the app the same sandwich appears to be less meat and the bun is squished flat. I have to pry the top bun off in order to add condiments and/or bbq sauce. Ive noticed this while ordered at home and driving to the location or even ordering from the location parking lot, waiting a few mins and then entering the store. Otherwise everything else is good and always love the free ice cream that everybody gets with every meal but the cones here tasted stale.

Brisket Sandwich Mac & Cheese

The food was great, but the lady wasn't so great, she acted like she didn't want to be there. The guy behind the grills was nice, he took our orders. The menu says, make it a combo-add two sides, or one drink and one side. I wanted the combo with one drink and one side, and I guess that wasn't an option. The girl rudely stated it doesn't work like that. So I paid for two sides, one I didn't want, and extra for a drink that was supposed to be included in the "combo". Under new ownership, but maybe needs a new team too.

2 meat plate - Spicy Cheddar sausage, brisket, backed potato casserole, fried okra

I stumbled in during their grand opening by complete accident in search of a decent lunch. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and ordered up the 2 meat plate. I got the brisket, spicy cheddar sausage, fried okra and baked potato casserole. $12.50 without a drink, well I get a free one as part of their grand opening. Still pricey for lunch. And they couldn't accept AMEX. Sat down in their new, clean dining area and dug in. Heres what I noted. The brisket was good but nothing award winning, honestly it was really greasy which I know you are all thinking of course it is, it's BBQ! But this was excessive. I think they wrap their briskets in plastic wrap and then heat them which just renders all the available fat. The sausage was terrible, I mean to the point that I tossed it. It tasted like a Bar-S Brand sausage with chunks of government cheese embedded in it. No good. The casserole was also bad, tasted like it was reheated food service prepared food. The okra was, well fried okra. Unless it's over cooked it's always good. Overall impression is that this is a over priced franchise run by a very nice family. It's too bad they didn't start their own BBQ gig because I bet it would be a lot better. The place was swimming in marketing materials and just really created a fake homestyle atmosphere.

Been to 4 different locations around the metro area and it has been deliciously consistent between restaurants. Best ribs around!

Called in an order, they called back and said they were out of ribs. A bbq place running out of ribs lost my business for good.

My usual strategy: fly in early, stop here, order the big meat platter, eat about half of it, go lift, and then finish the rest on the drive to site. Balanced lifestyle, right? Last visit I had turkey, brisket, sausage, and ribs, and every one of them brought something to the table. Great smoke, great flavor, and plenty of sauce options if that's your thing. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was easygoing, and it had that comfortable, family-run barbecue feel that you hope for when you walk into a place like this. If I'm anywhere near the area again, this will definitely be one of my stops. Hard to beat good barbecue that fits perfectly into the travel-and-gym routine.

The menu features tender meats, made from scratch/ grandma staple sides, Colorado-sourced sodas (clear black-cherry soda-YUM!) and homemade pie-shakes (pecan and cookie pies!). Plus a bar with some specialized micro-brews, seltzers and ciders. Clean, chill, urbane ambiance.

Either the broths lacked flavor, the meats weren't fresh enough, or the overall experience just didn't live up to the hype. At one point I genuinely thought maybe hotpot in Colorado just wasn't for me. But my friends, who absolutely LOVE this place and come here all the time, basically forced me to give it a try, and wow, I'm so glad they did. From the first bite, I could immediately tell this place was different. The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting in a way that makes you want to keep eating even after you're already full. Everything tasted fresh, high quality, and actually well-prepared. The meats, veggies, noodles, and sides all complemented each other perfectly, and the whole experience just felt cozy and satisfying. Another thing that really stood out to me was the service. Every server I've interacted with here has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They genuinely make the experience even better because the atmosphere feels warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. You can tell they care about making customers feel comfortable and taken care of. Now it's literally all I think about whenever the weather starts getting cool outside. Like the second there's even a slight chill in the air, this place immediately comes to mind. It's become one of those comfort meals that you randomly crave late at night because nothing else compares. The kind of food that warms you up completely and makes you leave feeling happy and full. Honestly, this place changed my opinion on hotpot in Colorado completely. If you've been disappointed by other hotpot spots around here like I was, PLEASE give this one a chance because it is on a completely different level.

I don't…read morethink we had been back since pre-COVID times, but we decided to make the extra drive because we remembered the great BBQ and food we used to get there. Boy, has this place changed. We knew the routine that this was a walk up to the bar to order food/drinks but we loved the idea of being able to order from a QR code on the table and have food and drinks delivered directly to our table. Unfortunately, the execution completely missed the mark. After placing our food & drink order, we waited several minutes with no drinks. We were about to just go to the bar ourselves when our food arrived. When we asked the food runner about the drinks, we were told, "They're busy, you might have to go to the bar to get them." That completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead through the QR system. My husband ended up standing in a very long bar line, and just as he was finally reaching the counter, our drinks finally showed up -- probably 10 minutes after the food arrived which was about 25ish minutes after placing the initial order. By then, our food was cold. The brisket sandwich had barely any actual meat on it (maybe 2oz of meat max) and was mostly inedible fat. The wings were dried out, cold, and tasted like they'd been reheated multiple times and drenched in buffalo sauce to cover it up. No one ever checked on us to see if things were okay. (They used to come around all the time) We also had to get our own utensils and condiments which we knew from previous visits, but the guy that dropped off the food made sure to tell us to bus our own table, afterwards, scrape food off dishes into the trash, and return trays and dishes to busstubs they had set out. Like I said, from our previous visits we knew this is more of a bar-service style restaurant and not full table service, but the expectation of any sort of a tip much less the 25% gratuity that was automatically generated/expected on our e-bill before actually finalizing our bill is honestly ridiculous. Other than someone dropping food at the table and a bartender opening a can of beer, there was essentially zero customer service. We ordered our own food, got our own utensils and condiments, cleaned up our own table, and still somehow were expected to tip at a level you'd expect from a full-service restaurant!? I can get the same level of service at a fast food restaurant and no one expects a 25% tip there. To top it off, the live band felt more suited for a retirement community social hour than a lively Saturday night crowd. Needless to say... in the six years it's been since we have been to the old man, we clearly have missed nothing other than its decline.
