    2 meat with 2 sides

I was hesitant to stop in and try a BBQ joint ever since I spent some time in Kansas City and have been spoiled by a variety of good BBQ. I didn't know what to expect from BBQ in Middletown Delaware. To my surprise it had the look & feel of a cliche' BBQ joint with rustic woods and industrial man-furnishings complete with the obligatory chalkboard menu and prison tray plates. But this is what one expects in a BBQ joint so I wasn't in any way turned off. It's the meat and the sauce that matters. I chose the 2 meat meal with sides. I asked for my brisket with a bit of burnt ends as I like it that way and the meat-man behind the knife accommodated. My second was the pulled pork. Following with jalapeño baked beans and mac&cheese. Sauces were served on the side. Ok so for franchise BBQ it wasn't bad. The pork wasn't too fatty and wasn't dry it was I good portion. The burnt end brisket was a little dry but that's because I asked for the ends. It had a great taste and worked well once the sauce hit it. Mac was Mac, it was not my moms Mac but no complaints. Jalapeño beans stood up to their name however I am not a "jalapeño hot", I would have preferred more of a sweet hot. I added the sweet and hot bbq sauce in it and THAT made it! The only complaint would be the brick I mean bread. Nothing special about it and was very dry. I would offer a sweet butter or maybe swap out for buttered cornbread. I didn't see there was an option there. Washing it all down with some sweet tea and I had myself some Delaware franchise BBQ. I'll give it a 4 out of 5. It wasn't spectacular but wasn't disappointing.

Pulled BBQ pork, Mac&Cheese, BBQ beans, Creamy Spinach, Cole Slaw, Dinner Roll & my dog begging.

First time here & we weren't disappointed. If you like Mission BBQ, it's the same kind of vibe. We went in to check it out, and we ended up getting takeout platters. $11.99 for a choice of meat and two sides. The food was great! The dinner rolls were surprisingly BUTTERY. Tasted like a pillsbury dinner croissant. The best part is: A free ice cream cone (vanilla soft serve) with every meal bought! Brian was ecstatic, and stole mine. Kids eat free on Sundays with the purchase of adult meals. Definitely check it out! A nice addition to Middletown area. Very casual inside.

    Get the onion tanglers. Yummm

The meat is pretty good, just ok. The sides are AWFUL. I honestly won't be going back unless they start serving home made sides.

I would recommend working on finding a dip to go with the egg rolls The Punch was also very good. I was service by a very delightful lady Ms. Khaliyah (sorry if I spelled her name wrong). She was such a joy to talk too. Bring back the spicy chicken wing challenge! We tasted the spiciest sauce they offer for the wings and it was spicy. My 1 year old spilled entire drink when we first sat down and let them know and didn't get a complimentary replacement drink for a $6.00 strawberry lemonade. (Which pricing was confusing as the menu only shows it was $3) The ambiance was more takeout with seating to wait and peak in ya platter. Also, only available sauce to go was the sweet and spicy ;( seeing the plethora of sauces available for sell this was quite disappointing as these sauces are "award winning"... food was good though. If I'm in the area definitely shall return and recommend especially for takeout. The food is so good however you would hope the ambiance reflected that as you would want to sit down and enjoy your food at that moment. SN: this menu would work very well in Philadelphia especially on South Street ;)

There's hot & cold prepared Amish foods and continental foods; butcher; dairy store; green grocer; bulk dried & jarred goods; and arts & crafts--all in one place. Here's my favorites: Smucker's Pretzels: Original pretzels and smokey cheezers (pigs-in-a-blanket). Made fresh throughout the day. Stoltzbus BBQ: Fried chicken, smoked ribs, and beef stew. Esh's Produce: Any fruit or vegetable from here is excellent. A & R Bakery: The cheesecake offerings are impressive; there's individual slices, half and whole cheesecakes. There's literally a wall of all types of cakes and pies, along with multiple shelves filled with cookies, donuts, breads, baked treats. There's plenty of free parking and public restrooms. Near closing time, local folks come pouring in here to get dinner and it becomes animated. Open 3 days a week; only operates during daytime hours.
