The woman I spoke to there told me about the store in Mentor, Ohio, how it is a family run business. I contacted this store several times before my trip to Cleveland, even getting directions to get to the Mentor store. I was only disappointed that Molly, the woman with whom I had been in contact was not working today as I wanted to meet her and thank her personally for her help. We were waited on by Molly's aunt. She could not have been nicer, bagging up my loaves of bread, telling us to double bag any of the loaves we plan to freeze. It is disappointing that the company has raised the loyalty point level as I anticipated getting another loaf at 100 loyalty points. No one seemed to know the new level needed. I bought challah, cinnamon crunch and cheddar garlic loaves. I used to buy the challahs when the stores were in Buffalo, so know how wonderful it is. We tasted the cheddar garlic and were seduced by it. The cinnamon crunch just looks wonderful, with a nice crunchy outside. This stop in Mentor was well worth the short detour.

The cooks have worked in 140 degree temperatures. People have passed out. A minor threw up because of the heat and was told they couldn't go home. Someone suffered an asthma attack and had to be admitted to the hospital and then was guilted and threatened to come in the next day. OSHA has been out, but no one could tell that the "fixes" failed because the weather wasn't hot. The active complaint number is # 2448729. The lake county health inspector has been out and notified again. But they are there to protect capital. To minimize the risks of lawsuits, but to keep the doors open. Basically to help protect the owners from their own selfish nature. A manager told an employee that if they shut down because of the heat, where would they replace $7000? The employees health is valued less than that. Please share this wherever you can. I can't track down all the people who may have been exposed to contaminated food. I can't talk to every employee that was sickened because revenue was more important than their health. I don't want the restaurant to close, I want tough enough consequences that it is cheaper for them to take care of their employees at work than it is to ignore them. I had such an amazing experience at DiBella's thanks to Kenny! He was super friendly, patient, and genuinely one of the nicest cashiers I've ever met. I'm a really picky eater, and ordering food can sometimes make me nervous because I ask a lot of questions or need things changed, but Kenny made me feel completely comfortable. He took the time to help me figure out what I'd like, gave helpful suggestions, and never once acted annoyed or rushed me even though it was busy. My order came out perfect, and his positive attitude honestly made the whole visit so much better. You can tell he truly cares about customers and wants everyone to leave happy. Employees like Kenny are the reason people come back to places. DiBella's is lucky to have him -- seriously give this man a raise! read more

I felt bad because now I am holding them up when I was trying to save everyone time by calling ahead. I saw how she cut my meat, it was not flowered, it was flat on the sub. When they went to cut the bread they didn't cut it thru so I had to pull it apart which made a mess later. They wrapped it incorrectly as well, the sandwich leaked ALL OVER MY SEAT. I counted the logos on the paper, there are supposed to be 4, I saw 3. Everything is done with intention at JM and the team is supposed to take pride in their work. A rush is not a reason for subpar product. You are paying for a premium sandwich the experience should be as well. I hate to be this "Karen" but if this was my store NONE of this would have happened. I really hope someone reads this and takes it as an opportunity to empower the team to excellence.

I took a picture and it's posted on this website of the overflowing trash area. The picture that I posted doesn't include our trash. I had to put our trash on top of the pile of trash.
