This review is long overdue, so sorry Saul! We have used Diaz flooring twice now, and their work is so good we know two people that have used him after seeing our floors. Our post WWII era built house had original hardwood floors covered by carpet, laminate and tile. For our first project Diaz flooring was able to fully restore the floors in our living room, hallway and two bedrooms back in 2018. There was a large section in the middle of the living room that was ruined by pet stains. They were able to pull out the ruined boards, put new ones in and you can't even tell they did it! They also put new wood in our entryway and covered some old floor furnace vents. For our second project, we remodeled out kitchen this year. Tile was covering some original hardwood, however we were not able to save it because it was so damaged. Diaz flooring did hardwood wall to wall, and matched what was in the rest of the house. You really can't tell its not original. The reason (besides the quality of work, which is excellent) we keep going back to Saul is because he really does care about the end product and the pricing is extremely reasonable. If you're putting real wood in your house, it needs to acclimate for a few weeks so you don't have issues with expansion/contraction. Saul explained this to us, and I'm glad he did. Other quotes we got for 1/2 day installs. Saul took his time and made sure everything was done right. We really appreciate that part of the work, so thank you Diaz flooring! We have one last bedroom to do in our house, and we'll be calling Saul when were ready. read more

After obtaining a few quotes, I went with Diaz flooring to refinish the original floors (1920's OG wood) under the carpeting. Pricing was reasonable, and the quality speaks for itself. They did an excellent job! The floors look amazing! Even got compliments from people coming in! After removing the carpet there were a few unforeseen areas on the wood floor and Saul and his team were able to address them all. For these areas not being part of the original quote (since not all the carpet was removed), pricing was also very reasonable. They went above and beyond my expectations, replacing previously damaged wood and missing wood, even crawling under the crawl space to reinforce it! They replaced a closet sized area in a bedroom, added several transition pieces, and closely matched the original red oak, which can be quite difficult to match aged with new. They also added 1/4" rounds along the floor molding to mask the imperfections that come along with an old house. That boy look good! They finished in a timely manner and got the job done right! If you are looking for quality work, Diaz flooring is the place for refinishing wood flooring (I'm sure they install full flooring as well). read more

Called and scheduled an appointment with Saul, I needed my wood floors refinished. He came took measurements and gave us a quote, my wife and I were very impressed on the knowledge of his job so we decided to hire and schedule a start date. Two days before the job was to start I called and texted him to confirm the start time and I never received a call or text back. Finally after a few attempts he text back and said he couldn't start the job cause of bad weather and it would affect the drying time. He promised to call me the following week to reschedule the start date and I never received a call or text back from him. One thing I've learned is to never deal with contractors that say they will call you back and never do, which clearly shows the type of person he really is and that's the type of people you don't want to do business with. read more

Diaz flooring did a great job. My original oak wood floors we a surprise find when we went to replace carpet with laminated flooring. Luckily we hadn't purchased the laminated floor, because we couldn't decide on a color. The process was very simple, aside from us having to moving everything out of the bedrooms and hallway. The cost very very reasonable even with the unexpected termite damage that Saul found in are master bedroom closet. He was able to fix the sub floor and replace the damaged oak as well. We have to do our refinishing in two stages because moving completely out is not an option to us, but Saul and his team worked with us and we're able to complete the job in just two days! Our floors we not in the best shape, we had some staining and dark spots. But our floors look great! Saul Diaz of Diaz Flooring did a great job installing solid hardwood flooring (African Walnut) in my 3-story townhouse. The job was tricky because I have 2 circular stairways that required custom cuts for each step. It came out great. They also installed a layer of cork subflooring on the upstairs floors to help with soundproofing which has been quite effective. My neighbors were so impressed that they used Mr. Diaz to install solid maple flooring on their stairway. This was also a difficult job as the new maple had to be stained to match the existing (10 year old) unstained maple that had "yellowed" with age. Their job also came out great.
