I have been avoiding my wisdom tooth removal, but Dr Sherman explained, very nicely, the importance of why.

I've experienced zero pain at her dental office. I'm used to leaving sore at other dental offices but not once have a left in any pain or soreness. I can't say enough good things about Dr Tran and her ethics. She doesn't find unnecessary things to do to get money nor are her fees high when you have to pay 20 percent or whatever isn't covered by your insurance plan. Very honest business! I highly recommend Dr Tran!

Here are the TOP REASONS why I really, really love Dr. Tran: 1. She's super sweet, which is great, but she's incredibly professional as well. Combine these two thing together, and you have a fantastic dentist. These words coming from someone that generally hates dentists. 2. Having my teeth done here is EASY. My appointments are always on time. They always end within the timeframe they gave me (if not earlier). When I feel like someone respects my time, I am in love. 3. Communication is great. Whether it's talking about what's happening at your appointment, or it's over email. Expect to be in the know. 4. It's PAINLESS. I recently had a crown done and it was .. the easiest thing. Dr. Tran was incredibly sensitive to any pain I might be feeling but often times I was asking "Should this hurt? It doesn't". I had the easiest experience getting a crown and everything I expected to have happen (see #3) .. happened. Wow, right? 5. Follow up. After my crown Dr Tran checked in several times to make sure I was doing well. HOW NICE RIGHT? If this woman ain't touching your teeth, you're doing something wrong. I love this place. And I'll continue to try to schedule my SD flights every six months so I can get my teeth cleaned etc. THANKS DR TRAN for being awesome! PS you get to wear cool protective eyewear when you're having your teeth done. Best time to take a selfie.

I called them and they said I could come in the next morning. They fixed it in an hour with a new crown and now 12 hours later I feel 100% perfect again and I can chew on both sides which is a miracle with absolutely 0 pain, not even a tooth ache after a root canal, wow ! This is the 2nd time in a row they did this for me, the last time crowns fell out on the other side about 6 months ago and was causing huge tooth ache almost till I was tearing up and crying. They fixed that one also 100% within the next day after calling. Thank you so much for your amazing work, you guys are pros and a lot of fun too, Kathy and the receptionist, I appreciate it very much ! Highly recommend these guys, check em out !

When I switched jobs and my insurance changed, I was bummed to find out that Solana Family Dental…read morewas no longer in network. However, I am now happy to be back! They have changed their front desk staff who seem to be much friendlier as well. Also, they now have an in-office therapy dog who is SO cute and always comes to greet when I am in the waiting room! Their dental hygienists (their past ones and current one) are always so friendly and kind, and you can tell they are very passionate about dental health and they are always happy to explain what they are doing and educate how to maintain dental health. And I am a huge baby so I appreciate that they always give me numbing cream to make me more comfortable! Going to the dentist is never fun, but I feel I am in good hands at Solana Family Dental!

After several years as a patient, I can no longer recommend SFD…read more Their approach to care often felt alarmist--every visit seemed to bring a new, urgent recommendation: replace fillings, crowns, add Invisalign, get a night guard. It became difficult to distinguish between ethical care and aggressive upselling, which ultimately eroded my trust. The turning point came when I agreed to replace a perfectly functional crown based solely on its age. The procedure was uncomfortable, but what stood out most was what happened just before the new crown was placed: while sitting in the chair with exposed, sensitive dentin, I was handed an electronic signature pad and told to sign a form--sight unseen. The dental assistant couldn't explain what I was signing, only that it was required before continuing. In pain and vulnerable, I felt pressured to sign what turned out to be a release of liability regarding the crown's fit and color--before it was even placed. That didn't meet my expectation of informed consent--it felt coercive. I insisted on seeing the form, and after nearly 20 minutes, they finally projected it onto a wall. Still, the message was clear: sign now or remain in pain. Under duress, I signed as no alternative was offered. Afterward, I voiced my concerns to Dr. Sandler. Rather than taking accountability, she blamed the software, dismissing my experience. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the distress caused. I've never sued anyone and don't plan to start now--but this experience crossed a line. I understand the need for legal protection, but demanding a release at such a vulnerable moment, without explanation or opportunity to review it, felt unethical. Since then, I've had unexpected difficulty scheduling cleanings--something I've seen echoed in reviews by others who didn't leave 5-star ratings. I can't say for sure it's retaliation, but it fits a troubling pattern. SFD may work for others, but based on my experience, I'm not comfortable with their transparency or consent practices. Not taking responsibility at the time--or addressing it since--has broken my trust.
