However, they have a rule that you're not allowed to contact the driver directly at all. I've never been told not to contact a driver in all the services I've ever used for airport or other pick ups so this seems very odd. They gave me the driver's phone number, but sent me many admonitions never to contact him before during or after the service. I always like to make sure with drivers myself that they understand what time to pick up, that they need to wear a mask, etc., etc. So not being able to do this left me very frustrated and not sure I'd do the service again. UPDATE MGL responded that they only asked me to not contact the driver before the trip. That's not true they sent me several texts that literally say "do not contact the driver before or after the trip" and they went onto continue messaging not to bother the driver as he may be with other clients.

I have been using OnTime Transportation ever since 2022 and have found them to be the best and most reliable car service I have ever used. Pick up at home has always been on time or early. The drivers are happy to move and handle luggage. I have had pick ups both at SFO and at Pier 27 in San Francisco - I call when I'm on the curb and the wait time for the car to arrive is within 10 minutes. The drivers have had no issues with late flight arrivals and always arrange to be there whenever the plane has landed. The cars are always clean and well maintained and passenger comfort is always the focus. Billing and tips are handled via email invoice, which helps with busy airport drop offs - no hassling with cards on cash for payment when getting to the plane on time is the many worry for the day. Drop offs are always right to the airline and entry door that is most efficient. Roger is the owner and he is dedicating to providing excellent service. Over the years I think we have become good friends. He is well versed in current news and events and conversations with him during the rides are always engaging and make the ride time go by quickly. When I call for a reservation, if Roger doesn't answer immediately, he gets back to me within 10 minutes. He confirms pick ups the day before. He is willing to go out of his way to fulfill service requests. He's the best! Between the great staff, great owner and great service, I highly recommend OnTime Transportation. They should be named Flat Tire Transportation…read more Signed these guys up for transportation from Brentwood to SFO. Leaving in June, getting back in July. I've used them before with no problem. The night we were leaving, we had them booked for 8:30pm. It's 8:45pm, and they still have not arrived. I called them, and Roger answered and he called the driver, and the driver said he got a FLAT TIRE and got in an accident on the road. Why didn't this driver call Roger and let him know, so he could inform us? Anyways, Roger arrived at 9:15 and took us to the airport. He did NOT honor their "less than 20 minutes late or it's free" guarantee. Pfftt!! Then, a month later, we arrive back at SFO, and they are supposed to pick us up at midnight. But instead, I get a call from Roger and SURPRISE, their vehicle had a FLAT TIRE and they cannot pick us up and we are on our own to find a ride home at midnight. Thanks!! Umbrella Bus barely got our passengers from Point A to Point B, did not do so efficiently, and arguably didn't do it terribly safely. We booked Umbrella for a 54-passenger shuttle to transport wedding guests from our wedding hotel to our ceremony venue, and then from the ceremony venue to the reception venue ($1050 total). I confirmed this itinerary with their staff by email and phone several times (at least three), because they kept sending me invoices that only showed a partial itinerary, but they assured me that they had the correct itinerary written down and would read off the correct itinerary on the phone when I called. On the first trip, the bus driver got the bottom of the bus stuck on a steep hill, rendering it unable to move. Guests had to walk nearly a quarter mile from where the bus got stuck to the ceremony site. The bus was also blocking the entrance to the park where the ceremony was held, meaning that park visitors and several wedding guests who were behind it were severely delayed in getting into the park. We had a couple of guests who missed some of the wedding ceremony because the bus blocked the entrance for so long. It would've been 3.5 stars if only for this, since it wasn't 100% the driver's fault, though he should really have known what the buses he drives are able to handle. On the second trip, though, despite me confirming the destinations in the itinerary with Umbrella MULTIPLE TIMES, the driver had somehow been given the wrong destination by their dispatch, and took guests back to the hotel instead of to the wedding reception venue. My family members had to argue with the driver, who insisted that he'd been told to take everyone back to the hotel, and "I'm only doing two trips, how will people get back to the hotel?" but he eventually relented and took everyone to the reception instead, but meant that most of the guests were delayed by quite a bit in getting to the reception. This definitely wasn't the driver's fault though, and was clearly the fault of the company/dispatch. He did eventually take the guests where they needed to go, which we appreciate.
