Not wanting them to be stranded at the airport and knowing they don't know how to use Uber or Lyft, I decided to search for other alternatives. I knew I wanted something where I can pay in advance so my parents didn't need to worry about paying, and something that can drive them and their luggage directly home with no other passengers in the car. I looked at reviews on Yelp and saw that Golden Gate had some good ones. I compared prices to some other shuttle services as well and decided this was very reasonable. I sent out a message through Yelp and they responded quickly. I was able to set up a shuttle ride over the phone two days in advance to have my parents picked up from SFO. What I really liked and the reason I give this company 5 stars, was their clear communication. My parents are not clear communicators, so it was imperative that I needed a shuttle service that could understand and work with me to help my parents find their way from plane to shuttle. While I was stuck at work. Lol. They were able to check on my parents' flight status, and the driver arrived on time. My parents did not follow directions (I knew it) so the driver had to contact me, but they eventually contacted the shuttle driver and found each other. Once in the car they realized they did not have their house keys. Luckily, I work one exit away from their house and the driver was kind enough to make a stop by my work to pick up my copy of keys. I really appreciate the good service this shuttle company provided. I have not personally used this service, but my parents have said that they would definitely use them again. Ride was smooth, car was clean, driver wore a mask. At a time where we are experiencing a pandemic and stress levels are high, it's good to know getting a ride from the airport is one less thing to worry about. The driver claimed he had only been dispatched that same morning before our 8am pickup and said I would have to resolve the dispute with management after our trip, so I documented the hourly rate dispute directly on the invoice the driver asked me to sign. After our trip, I called and left message to speak with management, stating a need to adjust the hourly rate quoted for a stretch limousine due to the unplanned vehicle change to a non luxury van. Two weeks later, without returning my call, they billed my credit card for additional time used at the disputed hourly stretch limousine rate. I called to discuss the disputed additional fee and asked Tanya to speak with a manager and instead got an email response from their manager Bobby falsely claiming that they sent email confirmation of a vehicle change in advance and also falsely claiming this was the first time they were hearing that the vehicle was wrong. Bobby quoted their policy to send confirmations in-advance, but refused to produce evidence they had done so, and threatened to report me to the "PUC" if I dispute their charges.
