We had to wait a week for an appointment, which to me meant that this is a popular, steady business and that it was the right one to call. On the day of the appointment, Mike arrived during the time frame promised and set right to work scrubbing and brushing. The whole operation took maybe 45 minutes to an hour, and he kept things very clean with the biggest, most impressive shop vac I'd ever seen. Once he'd finished up and put his tools away, I handed over a check for the previously agreed upon amount and that was it. Straightforward, efficient, no hidden fees...business the way it should be. Once the work was done, he became a bit chattier and I learned that a good rule of thumb to follow is to have the chimney swept after every cord of wood, and always burn hardwoods, so I guess we'll be seeing Mike every year, now.
