Recommended by a Payson resident, we finally got the chance to go here. SO GLAD we did. The place is large, open. Friendly staff. Belle was our server & she was GREAT. Never had to ask for anything a 2nd time, which, at least for me, is unusual. She had injured her foot & was wearing a medical boot, yet was SO cheerful & friendly. We both had salad, with the delicious homemade ranch dressing. We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, with LARGE shrimp. We both had steaks & both were cooked to perfection & were very flavorful. The accompanying Chipotle dressing my husband had with his steak was so yummy! We even shared a dessert, which we usually do not order. The Mudd pie. Very creamy, delicious. ADA access allowed but not ADA freindly for Service Dogs Visited the restaurant on Thursday evening 10/26/23 @ about 6:00 pm. There were about 6 other customers seated in the first section of the dining room where the Thursday night NFL game could be seen on the 2 TVs. I brought my trained, registered, and licensed Service Dog. My dog is clearly marked as a service dog with a vest and on a leash. There are two seating sections, and the owner took us beyond the first seating section and seated us in the back section in a corner. I told the owner that I wished to be seated in the first section to see the game and he said ~ "You have a dog, I am the owner and I can tell you where to sit". I objected but he said it is his restaurant and his rules. I then mentioned ADA and he said he didn't care, I had to sit where he wants me to sit and stared me down as I took a seat. Although he did allow me in the restaurant he clearly treated us different than the other customers. There were quite a few open tables in the first section. We were the only customers in the back section until a couple were seated back with us about 1/2 way through our meal. His rudeness ruined any food or ambiance. I would like to close by saying that our waitress was top notch. The owner is not. read more

Went to try this place with my wife for dinner and we were very pleased. We sat down right away, got our drinks pretty quick and ordered our food. Ordered our food and got our appetizer no more than 5 minutes later. Then close to 10 minutes later got a salad and some bread. Then 10 minutes after that we got our entrees. It work out perfect cause we would finish one and the other would come. I got the steak and shrimp and the shrimp was delicious. The steak was a little red in the center but it was delicious with sautéed mushrooms. My wife got the filet mignonette with a jumbo backed potato, she has better taste buds than me and she loved it, she said everything cooked perfect. Thank you for a great experience. I have seen other reviews and can see how certain areas could use a touch up but it doesn't kill the dining experience. And the waitresses that we had on shift we all very fast and friendly. We also did arrive when the place opened at 4pm so maybe that made it better. The menu is on the pricey side but Tuesdays do have a cool burger of the day for a great price. read more

Love this Steak House. It had been awhile since we had the opportunity to dine here. If I could I'd dine here once a week LOL. This last time I had the Salmon and it was delicious my wife had the ribeye with grilled shrimp and she really enjoyed her meal as well. I like the side options they offer my favorite being the broccoli. The house wine is pretty good and reasonably priced as far as restaurants go. I believe Yelp shows two dollar signs which should be should more like four even before this insane inflation has gripped us. We were a group of six and our waitress was very patient with us whilst we placed our orders and then some of us changed our orders. She kept a smiling face and got all of our orders correct. 6 of us went here for dinner at the recommendation of someone who works here, touting it as the best steak place around. 4 of us ordered steak, and were sorely disappointed. These were flavorful, but with an extremely high content of fat. The waitress told us that there was marbeling that gives it flavor, but marbling typically will cook into the meat, not have the entire center a blob of uncooked, unabsorbed fat that gets thrown away. The picture shows what was not eatable. We spoke to the eaitress and all she did was apoligize for serving a "possibly bad cut of meat", but never offered us a discount, considering we had to throw out half of a 12 oz steak! She said that its how the steaks come, so i told her that they need to adjust their prices to reflect those bad cuts. $23 for a rib eye that was 40% fat is not right. The service here was like dining at a very high class restaurant! Our waitress was very attentive with filling our glasses with water, asking us if we needed anything, and clearing off the table. The half chicken was very moist and tender--I recommend this over the trout and cod dishes. I also recommend the broccolini over the rice pilaf. I love that in addition to the bread (which is nice and crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside), they also bring out some veggies with ranch! Not a lot of restaurants do that so that makes them stand out from the rest and a great option for the healthier folks. Took two friends to Diamond Point (DP) for a celebratory dinner tonight. DP is supposed to be upscale steak house in the Payson area. We ordered our steaks and that seemed to go ok. Steaks arrived and three Filets were fine (albeit a bit flavorless), friends Ribeye was significantly over-cooked, ordered MR, and it was at least Med-Well. Asked waitress for replacement and she took steak back and noted it was over-cooked. Ten minutes later, asked where the steak might be, let me go check, another five minutes or so and steak appears. Friend starts eating it, it is now raw in the middle. We ask for the manager... we wait a bit, waitress now ignoring us, and no manager... ask for manager second time. Manager shows up, asks if there is a problem, we explain, and he immediately starts being defensive and an arrogant ass. Tells us he was aware the first steak was overcooked, and he made the second for us, we noted it was raw in the middle and that just made him angrier. At that point, it was obvious we were not going to get any satisfaction out of him and requested the bill. He did take the bad steak off the bill. My wife noted the manager stood by the table behind our friends and kind of lurked before he came over... we thought he was a busboy. The server is the only reason this place got 2 stars. She worked her tail off due to place was short staff. Decor is out of date and they need to find a cook who knows how to prepare food properly. I was loving this restaurant. We have a summers place in Forest Lakes. We have eaten here 4 times on Tuesdays for the hamburger special. We loved it. Last night our daughters came up to help us winterize. We took them to dinner here as thanks for helping. Two of us had rib eye steaks, one had scallops. The steaks were properly cooked but mine was very hard to cut. Lots of stringy things. The salad was good but on a very small dish and hard to eat without making a mess. The scallops were in a very overwhelming spicy sauce. I think of scallops being quickly seared in butter and salted. The service was very good, we were seated promptly and our order was taken in a timely manner and food was served in good time also. I order a rib eye steak and for $22 was very disappointed. It was very very dry. The flavor was good, just believe it had been cooked more to a well done stage than medium since it was pretty charred on one side. The wait was not long for a Saturday night to get our tables with a group of 10 people: And with due reason the place wasn't packed and we thought ourselves as lucky for a Saturday night. Oh how very deceptive!! The wait to get our food took about 2 hrs. We kept asking the waitress after one hour "is the food coming right out"? She kept saying" it's coming out in a little bit". When we asked again after an hour and a half she said that it was taking a long time because a big group of golfers were being tended to on the other side of the restaurant. After contemplating getting up and just paying for our drinks after two hours of waiting for our food I decided to speak to the manager and I told the manager that we had been waiting for 2 hrs for our food. Mind you at this point we had to ask who the manager was. Usually when food takes longer in restaurants the manager stops by at your table and apologizes and lets the group know why it's taking longer than usual. I talked to the manager to tell her our situation and she seemed unbothered. She said I'll speak to the owner and see if we can get your drinks taken care of. The manager never went back to our table to discuss this situation further. And the waitress told us that nothing could be done. Half our group disliked the food and for the two hour wait to get our food delivered to the table it was definitely not WORTH THE WAIT! We all felt disrespected. Never coming here again. Please don't waste your time, if something is not up to par the customer service is not there. They do not put the customer first or have the leadership it takes to take care of customers. Very disappointed. I was the general manager at a restaurant for years and I always made sure we fixed whatever issue we had with the customers and made sure we kept their business one way or another because word of mouth travels fast. read more

The server brought us an unexpected serving of fresh vegetables and ranch dressing immediately upon seating. The service was outstanding. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. I ordered the scallops and my boyfriend ordered the filet. OMG! The food was amazing! I have never had such delicious scallops ever! Words cannot describe their flavor - Sweet but savory. We ordered both the cheesecake and the crème brûlée for desert. Again over the top delicious.! We enjoyed our meal, the service, and atmosphere so much, we went back on Saturday night and repeated our meal! You must go for the food and the service! It's okay for the backwoods, but don't expect much. Most of the folks in our large party seemed to enjoy their food. But I had a lobster which was one of the worst lobsters I have ever had. How you make lobster dry and flavorless is a mystery to me, but these folks succeeded. But nobody will go home hungry, since you get big portions and lots of side dishes.
