I met with Kurt for the initial estimate and he was great in pointing out the kind of work that needed to be done and took the time to answer all of my questions. Once I made the decision to go with 3 Generations, I started working with Jeremy who went the extra mile to meet me at my work to sign the paperwork and select the type of siding for the house. We signed the paperwork in the late Fall, which is a busy time for them but Jeremy was always up front with their estimated timing, which I really appreciated. Once the work started, the job was completed pretty quickly. Again, Jeremy and his crew were very communicative and kept me updated on the status of the work until it was done. They also fixed some plywood dry rot and installed new plywood as well as correcting some roof deck problems in addition to all of the siding replacement. I contacted Central Builders for several projects…read more- new fencing for a 1/2 acre lot, a new deck, a new front walkway and a sump pump to stop our garage from flooding. The fencing bid was in line with the others I received but two of my three neighbors are refusing to replace the downed fences so that project did not move forward. I will write a second review for the new walkway and sump pump because this deck review is pretty long! The deck project - I had already had someone remove the old deck so Vic and his crew were setting the foundation and installing a new Trex deck. Vic went the extra mile in meeting my requests and multiple rebids and change requests before even getting the job. Excellent customer service before I was a customer. I had three other bids that were all at a much higher cost. After going to the lumber yard to see samples of the Trex boards and to select my color, I decided to upgrade the materials to the best and highest Trex boards. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the other bidders were so high. They bid the 2nd to lowest level Trex boards and then they nearly doubled the supply cost. Central Builders had a very reasonable mark up on the boards, especially considering they had to order it, pick it up and deliver it all to my location. The crew arrived on time every day. Kept the work area clean. Kept me informed throughout the process and started and finished when promised. They took extra care to make sure the deck was level and added an extra support for a very heavy plant pot that would be going in the rear corner. The job included adding LED lighting to the steps and accommodating my under house vents by cutting ventilation in to the deck supports. I had asked that the front of the deck be sealed in a way that would prevent skunks from getting under it. The crew not only added a wire mesh barrier under the facia board, they painted it black so it would blend in and not be obvious. And last but not least, in t he pictures, note the downspout to the deck. Vic altered and bought a proper end spout so we can attach a hose in the winter to redirect the water so we don't get moisture under the deck. Going the extra mile. Super happy with how this project went!!! I highly recommend Central Builders!

Well, I paid him the $1000 (cashed on Nov 29th). Checked with Placer County Property Records and there has been no request submitted to lift the lien. So he lied to me and he lied to CSLB. Talk about digging yourself a hole. Will be fun to present this to a judge. I will of course have to subpoena the CSLB agent and put together a presentation on why everything he said and did regarding the outdoor kitchen area was wrong. Nothing new, done it before. I'll post again after trial but I won't settle for the normal small claims judge so it will take several months to get a date.

Here is my experience in April 2024 having Denis Handyman Services do some repair work on my home…read more Issue #1. Kitchen "Smell & Oven Smoke" issue. Denis verified that the range fan and air duct worked OK. However, he did not investigate any further. He did not test the smoke detectors upstairs and downstairs. He did not examine the HVAC duct. He did not perform any test (such as a smoke candle test) to determine if there was a leak in the HVAC duct. He just walked away from the problem. He offered no solution or directions to his clients. Issue #2. Master Bathroom Air Vent. Denis turned the fan ON for 10 minutes but didn't observe any brown fluid dripping onto the tile floor. He did not bother to investigate any further. He was clueless. He did not know what caused the brown fluid to drain from the air vent. He just walked away from the problem. He offered no real solution or directions to his clients. He proposed to replace the ceiling exhaust fan only because he wanted to seize the opportunity to make more money. The investigation Denis performed was something that I or any other layperson could do hands down. He made $200 for 30 minutes of his time. His service is of little or no value to me. I am not satisfied at all with his work. He was incompetent. While Denis made his easy money of $200 on his so-called investigation, his actions demonstrated that he was not motivated to help his client solve a problem. He was focused on installing new parts to rake in sky-high profits. He walked away from Issue #1 and submitted a bid for Issue #2. But did he understand what went wrong with either Issue #1 or #2? No. He did not have a clue. Case in point. For Issue #1, he walked away. For Issue #2, he submitted a bid of $550 to replace a simple bathroom ceiling exhaust fan. It was way overpriced. A new fan costs about $50. In other words, he slaps a $500 labor charge for 30 minutes of his precious time. His billing rate of $500 per half hour or $1,000 per hour is far higher than the common attorney billing rate of $300 or $400 per hour. Denis is completely out of line and out of his mind. I rate Denis 1 out of 5 stars. I would rate him zero stars on Yelp if I could.

Cody was a straightforward guy and provided us a quote right away (just as he did 6 years ago fixing my old house). I can tell he is confident knowing the problem/solution, and he did not play the game trying to gauge the price based on the assessment of his competitors or my situation (which is the feeling I have unfortunately from my previous experiences with the other few companies). Cody did a fantastic job fixing my old house which sustained 6 years by now. And most importantly that was the only leak we ever had in that house so far. Great job Cody!

They were hired to come out and fix a few things, took them forever to get started on the work. The work they did do was shoddy at best, in my opinion. When it finally was decided they needed to replace the shower they missed two of their own projected deadlines with two days where they didn't call and didn't show up. I was really kind to them and cool about it, but when I finally complained and asked them to finish the job Scott sent me an aggressive text message, blowing up at me, and telling me that complaining would not make the work better or faster. He then projected the shower would be done Wednesday of last week, they missed that deadline. They also did not finish Thursday the next day when they came back. What happened instead was they dumped all kinds of waste material and left broken tile all over my yard while spitting their nicotine chew pouches directly into my kids playset. My daughter cut her foot and was playing with the nicotine pouches, thankfully she didn't eat them. She has autism, and they knew this. I also caught Cody bringing moldy baseboard into the home to place onto the wall. I can only assume that they were retaliating against me for complaining as they threatened to do. They damaged the floor where they pried out the old shower pan, did some shoddy repairs that don't seem up to code, and lied about being on the phone providing their licensing information to the property management company. Left the property dirty with waste everywhere. Continually left their trash in and around my home. When you look the company up, the only record of anyone having any kind of license is Cody who was suspended back in 2024. There is also no record of any kind of reinstatement for the suspension. Their pricing also does not seem to have good value to it and is fairly expensive in my opinion, considering they are so resistant to provide a simple license number and do not seem to take pride in their work or clean up according to my observations. I would highly suggest avoiding these guys, with as many people who will readily and willingly provide their licensing information you have no need to go to people like this. Just read the reviews, they seem to do things like this quite frequently.

Levi was one of the few to call me back, come out for the quote when he said he would and provided additional detail when the insurance adjusters asked. And the work they did was amazing. We have a beautiful new deck, the fence was repaired. I also hired Levi and crew to paint the whole exterior and will have him replace ducting under the house, soaked by the water run off and some other concrete work I need done. I can't say enough about Levi, his crew and the quality of their work.
