First of all, they aren't clean I spent 2 1/2 hrs in this place and watch person after person come in and out without them sanitizing equipment, that's disgusting-during a pandemic completely unacceptable. Secondly, my NAILS! Messy AF, who did them a 2 year old? Actually I'm sure my toddler could've done a better job. Messy AF, check the pics they don't lie. The price here is good, and I found no issue with the cleanliness or quality of the pedicure stations. This place is a 2.5 star location, in reality. Location (4/5): Ample parking, Diamond Nails is located in a shopping plaza. They only accept cash tips so it's convenient to have the BOH ATM in Longs, and some other ATMs around. Cleanliness/Appearance (2/5 overall): The cleanliness of the pedicure stations is a 4/5, but I would give the overall cleanliness in the salon a 2. The waxing and beauty station sits open in the salon, directly across from the pedicure stations, and needs a super good scrub. As I looked around, the manicure stations appear to need a good scrub as well. If the salon is open-concept, you should be conscious of privacy when people are getting waxed/their nails done, and how clean those stations look. The massage chairs for the pedicures are obviously newer and were fabulous. I liked that the remotes were easy to use and wrapped. Service (mixed points): To the technician who gave me my pedicure, I would give a 3 for service. When she was first looking at my feet, she touched one of my toes and said something to the technician beside her, OBVIOUSLY about my foot. If you're going to talk poorly about your client, you better do it discreetly or after service has been rendered. To top it off, she didn't even do a good job putting on the polish (the top coat was not brushed to the end of my toe - see picture) - a fact which I unfortunately did not notice until I was outside the salon. But she did give a killer massage. The owner who cashed us out was great. She connected with us and seemed to really appreciate our business. 5 star service from her. I came here to get a nail polish change. They wanted to charge me $10 to remove my polish even though it was not listed on the Brochure that was given to me. I wonder how many more services they create to be able to UP their inflated prices. OVERPRICED and extremely arrogant about service. Poor Service. The owner stated they DO NOT DO FRENCH MANICURES. Been going here for years despite so many bad experiences like double-bookings, development of flaky/dry toes, no-show nail techs, last minute cancellations without notice, etc. all because the location was so convenient. Well, enough is enough and I will never again waste my time or money there even if they were the last nail salon in town. The place was not very clean and I don't feel like they had the right techniques for removing acrylic or powder nails at all. I know my nails are going to be thin from the powder nails but there is no reason I should leave a salon with scratched up nails, I could get my nails smooth in the comfort of my home and I'm not even a nail technician. I never venture out to new nail salons but it was urgent and I had no other choice. I will definitely have my appointment made elsewhere next time. Oh by the way I got a basic manicure for $16, $10 to take off powder, and $5 for a buff and shine. And that total came to about $30 and it was not worth leaving with scratched up nails. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Unclean, unsafe, and not properly trained technicians. Pedicure technician not only told cashier the higher priced pedicure for my bill but ALSO has not been properly trained in how to do her job. If you sugar scrub... WASH IT ALL OFF. Even after I told her to she did not make sure the sugar was off before she used the hot stones on my legs. This resulted in the sugar cutting my legs and now my pores are infected from her negligence. The waxing station was a make shift chair leaned up against a counter where people are constantly going to get hot stones and towels... Not sanitized or is the "head rest" towel changed after each use. Which also led me to believe the wax they used was also not clean as I reacted horrifically and she just basically poured oil over top of it and acted like nothing was wrong. Over priced, under trained, they obviously don't care about making sure youre charged correctly. WORST salon experience I have ever had and I've been getting pedicures for over 20 years consistently. Edited to add response to businesses response: Thank you for your "concern" but it is irresponsible of you to deflect this reaction to the product itself. It was NOT the sugar scrub but your technicians negligence that caused the infection of the pores/follicles as I have already explained. But if you aren't understanding I will reiterate: you do NOT continue with hot stone massage until you've completely rinse off ALL the sugar scrub. Failing to do so results in PAIN to the client (which I voiced multiple times) and the resulting infection and problems. Additionally, you are flat out lying about the waxing station. I had someone come up and grab supplies not related to waxing out of the warmer/sanitizer box that was on the counter right next to my head while I was getting my eyebrows waxed.. And in the other pictures posted to these reviews it is clear that there is a warmer box and supplies to the right of the waxing chair (which has been pointed out in these reviews already that it is an inappropriate waxing "station"). I'll add my own picture of this as you can't be trusted to tell the truth about your own establishment. The mere fact that you are coming on Yelp and flat out lying is a testament to your inability to accept responsibility for the negligence, irresponsible actions, and unsanitary practices that occur at this salon! The first time I got my nails done it was okay(pink polish). I got a fill the second time and the nail polish(green) I guess accidentally had glitter in it so it doused so many little bumps on my nails that she tried to fix some of them but just ended up leaving them. There was also small scratches from the nail filer when she was trying to fix the bumps. It was $43 for a fill and I left with nails that were bumpy and also did was not painted all the way down to the cuticle. read more

They time your service depending on what you get. However, my lady today started the clock and then went to the back to grab her tools and things. Then sat and put on her gloves. And made sure to text before she started. The clock shouldn't start til she touches my feet. I didn't have an option for my scent even though there's supposedly many options to choose from. Also, the 10 min the paraffin was on my feet the lady sat and played on her phone. Usually they massage your leg while the paraffin sits. Not to mention my massage chair didn't work. She offered to move me but why sit me here with a broken chair. Also it says double massage time but I feel like it wasn't. I've been here a few times and usually come if no other option and this place is the closest to my home. But maybe I should stick to the cheaper services if I come here. If I'm desperate. The cuticles were not cut on my daughter and the pictures that I posted proves it. I agree there was miscommunication between us. I believe there was more of a misrepresentation of the service to be provided in order to get the customer. Came in to Diamond Nails to get a pedicure with low expectations considering it was 6:30pm and they close at 7pm. I thought that they would rush through my pedicure because they were close to closing, but boy was I wrong. LeeAnn took her sweet time and did an amazing job. She made sure that the water was steaming hot (which is how I love it). Throughout the entire pedicure she continued to check on me and even attempted to make small talk. It is currently 7:15 and she is still doing her thing. I thought that this would be a one time stop but because of LeeAnn I would definitely give this shop another visit! My jungle green/silver toes are super cute ! My only complaint would be that another young lady who worked here came and just lifted up my arm rest to start cleaning while LeeAnn was finishing up. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I paid $110 for a diamond pedicure and gel manicure. I didn't expect to be cut up in the process. I had my manicure done first and the lady nicked my finger while cutting my cuticles, she said "oh sorry". It didn't look bad so I said "no worries" it wasn't noticeable and I didn't really feel it. Then when I was getting my pedicure she asked if I wanted some dry skin removed on my toe with the callous remover. I said sure... she was really aggressive on my toe and I pulled back and said ouch. She laughed and continued on my heel with the same tool. I felt a nick and I immediately pulled away and told her that really hurt and it was stinging. She again oh sorry put a towel on it, looked and said it's ok. I didn't see anything because she covered it with a towel. When I put my foot in the water it was stinging really bad and I told her. She looked again and said it's ok. I thought it was just a small cut. I told her again it was stinging towards the end and again she said it's ok. I had a parraffin treatment so after that hot wax my foot felt ok and I paid and walked out. (Stupid me I didn't look or say anything to the guy at the front becauseI didn't think it was that bad) I got home and my husband said what's on your foot? I looked and saw it wasn't a cut, it was a chunk of skin taken out. I put some bacitracin on it because it was raw looking. I had to go out that same day and I was trying to put on my sneakers but I couldn't because that made it really sore. Since then it has been unbearably painful to walk, throbbing sensation, and it burns in the shower. The same goes for my finger. I am repeatedly putting on bacitracin hoping I don't get an infection. I'm really upset with this treatment and in a lot of pain. I should have called back yesterday but I don't want to deal with them anymore. I'm not one to write bad reviews but I feel the need in this instance. Not good business at all!!! I should have come here and read the reviews before going. Lesson learnt! read more

I recommend that the owner of this company let there workers know just cause we local don't mean we DON'T understand there language. I went to this salon for the second time yesterday. The first time my experience was ok, my only complaint was that a basic manicure and a pedicure took over an hour. Yesterday I decided I'd give the place another try. My experience started ok, I didn't have to wait and I was seen right away. The older lady that did my nails argued with my choice of nail colors, said they weren't good colors together... quite honestly, I'm open to suggestions but at the end of the day making the customer happy should be this businesses first priority. Then I asked for her to paint a single heart on my index finger. Oh my god, what an ordeal! She kept painting two oddly shaped hearts on my nail and i kept insisting that she only paint one... the heart was awful. She did it over and over until finally her manager stepped in and corrected it. The manicure alone took over an hour!! She left my nails a mess too. There was paint left under my nails, and paint on the back of my hand...which she knew about and didn't fix. Then came the pedicure. Mind you, I'm 9.5 months pregnant, 37.5 wks, I'm getting tired and just want tho leave at this point. I adjusted my seat back to get comfortable and she kept grabbing the seat remote and readjusted it to a seeing that was very uncomfortable for me. This happened 3 times!! Then she kept insisting that I recline my chair back and I told her no thank you because it was uncomfortable on my lower back. She reclined it on her own anyways. The pedicure took another hour. All in all, I left there feeling exhausted and unhappy. I spent 2.5 hours there!!! I was upset and felt that $70 was WAY too much money to spend on shotty customer service. The salon had several regular consumers come in, they became their number one priority while people like me were given 3rd rate customer service. I will never go back. read more

I don't normally make reviews but I was so unsatisfied I felt the need to warn others. I went to get a pedicure as a birthday present. I have had friends who go here so I figured it was a great place. I was never asked what kindof pedicure I wanted first. The guy who did my pedicure acted like he didn't want to be there either. He didn't shape my nails, he didn't trim the cuticles, he put lotion on midway through the pedicure and I left with half of my toenail polish from my previous pedicure still under my toenails. He rushed and was completely inattentive. He didn't even speak one word to me. It was one of the worst pedicures I have ever had. He even suggested putting glitter on the pink to help "hide" the polish he couldn't get off. He could have soaked my toes in an acetone soaked cotton pad if he was having that hard of a time. I always come here for a quick fix on my nails. Usually everything goes fine, but this review is based specifically off my past visit here. I got my nails done one time using the dip powder and got some designs on a few of the nails, but it kept coming off... I came back about 3 times to get them redone. The first time they redid it and it came off again the next day.. the next time I came in to redo them, they sent me home because the wait was so long. The third time I came in on an appointment, and they made me wait for like 40 minutes. they just redid all my nails without any design and they said they'd reimburse me my money which was about $12. I thought they were just gonna give me cash back or at least a gift card like how most places do, but she gave me a receipt instead. I ended up misplacing the receipt and figured since they knew me/wasted so much of my time, and I come in so often, they would just use the reimbursement on my next visit. When I came in another time to get my nails done before a trip, I asked if I could have them take off the $12 from my next manicure even though I didn't have the receipt and they said no I couldn't even though they specifically remembered me from the last time.. I usually wouldn't care, but the fact that they made a mistake on my nails and made me come back three times/wouldn't give me back my money made me upset. I feel like they robbed me of my money because they refused to let me use the reimbursement money, So they get to pocket the money they didn't give back to me (I won't be able to get it back, since I don't have the receipt anymore). I just upsets me know that I got ripped off on something that was their fault. It was my first time here. Went in for a pedicure and manicure. I didn't like that I was up sold without being told. The nail technician gave me a bunch on colored nails and asked me to pick my color, so I did. What she didn't tell me is that I chose a gel nail polish (which costs more) and I didn't realize it until she took out the UV nail dryer thing. It was too late and I didn't want to make it a big deal. I ended up spending more than I wanted to at the nail salon. She did a great job with the pedicure and the foot massage was awesome. This place is mediocre at best. It's not up to standards with sanitary, and I would not get a pedicure here. I came in to get a full set with Tina. No matter how many times I've asked to cut them shorter, or to file them down more, her acrylics are too thick. I got a fill two weeks after and after 5 days two nails broke off. I got them repaired but once I'm due for fill, I'm gonna get them taken off and done elsewhere. It was $57 not including tip for the acrylics. Unfortunately, this is the only nail salon in my area so I don't have much to work with. read more

Definitely not coming back here again. I was literally here for a gel manicure exactly 1 week ago, went on vacation over the weekend and the tips of my nails had already chipped. Came back, mentioned it, and also asked for a polish change. They charged me $42 for removal of the gel polish I had on, 2 new acrylic nails on my index fingers and new gel polish! That's without the actual manicure! I look at my nails after they were polished and they weren't evenly filed and looked like it didn't have enough powder on the acrylic nails so the polish looked uneven and my nail looked flat! I let the owner know and she said it's because my nail is like that but I told her that I've gotten acrylic at other salons before and it's never looked like this. She said my nail will grow out and will look better. I tried to tell her my nail wasn't the problem and that the nail tech just didn't do it right, but it didn't seem like she wanted to make any attempt to fix my nails, so I left. This place charges extra for almost every little thing! They charge you an extra $5 to get a specific type of nail file such as coffin or stilleto nails, it's also extra to pay with a credit card, so if you come bring cash or be prepared to pay that extra fee. This isn't my first time here and every time I've come, service was always sub par, even their designs aren't great. I kept coming back because it's close to my house but today just did it with the flat nails! I'm going to a new place tomorrow to get these nails fixed and never coming back here! read more

Diamond nails every-time has been great. My gel manicures actually last and they take their time on my services. This past trip I had Katie, and she was a sweetheart. definitely will be coback. ***Update*** Although my previous review was positive. After a few months I realized that I must have just got lucky those couple times. This place is a mess. Not just with the services provided, but the sanitation as well. The sanitation however is so bad that I will not be coming back. Old crusty tools, that never come out of the sterilizer. I never see them clean the bowls after pedicures, and the shop is always dusty and dirty and disorganized all around. Lastly the staff will start whispering to each other when you correct them on poor service when you're the one paying for a service ‍ Overall just a nightmare.
