First time here. They were lots of mall parking in front. We came in as walk-ins and it was the perfect time. Lots of open chairs. I had a deluxe pedicure and I got to say this was one of my best I've had. I think it was the owners mom who worked on me. She had very strong hands and gave me a strong foot massage. I used to come here often when I lived on Oahu and stopped by while on island to get my toenails refreshed. The place still has the same friendly smiles, quality service, pedicure options and affordable pricing. It's a small no frills location but they do accommodate walk ins. Even though it's been a couple years, I was highly pleased nothing changed there. read more

I have been going here since 2019. The hospitality is amazing and the staff is always so caring. The place is always clean and sanitary. Most shops are overcrowded with random things, whereas here it's very organized. I always get a Gel pedicure and they never disappoint. Some days are hit or miss depending, but most of the time it's a hit. This will always be my go to nail spot. read more

When you go to get your nails done, you are expecting to get pampered and good service; not people talked bad about by your nail technician. the guy that was doing my manicure, was talking shit about all the customers he had and he had the nerve to talk shit about me right in front of my face. He told his wife sitting next to him, "this girl has ugly toes, idk why she wants to paint them white." How fucking rude. I was being polite and quiet the whole service, doing my own thing on my phone since when i walked in, there was a group of 4 ladies they were doing manicures for talking stories with them, and he complained they talk too much. I loved it! I came in right after work on a Wednesday late afternoon. I did a walk-in appointment and the shop was pretty much empty. I was seated in seconds. Cindy let me choose the color I wanted and the shape I liked. She asked if i was happy with the result after each step when it came to length and shape. The process was quick and relaxing. I had a very nice experience here and I'd come back again. They also have a restroom for your convenience and plexiglass between you and the nail tech when you're getting your nails done. read more

needed some car parts so had to butter up the wife with a manicure / pedicure package for real nails with regular paint and polish. (not acrylic). my daughter wanted her nails done also. they were greeted, chose your nail colors, then sat in these massage chairs. then put their tootsies in the warm water bubble apparatus. theres concrete seats outside where the husbands/boyfriends were congregating. they washed the foot leg and shin and put lotion. massaged the hands. then applied paints. very attentive and efficient operation. i had good fun talkin about cars outside. they put slippers on and sent the fam out, i was summoned to da register to take care da financials. small price to pay for the car parts u desire. highly recommended! read more

I've been on the hunt for a good pedicure. I saw this place had pretty good reviews and good ratings. Tried it out and I was not impressed. I paid $50 for a 20 minute pedicure (30 if you include the 10 minutes I was left there to dry) I upgraded twice above the basic pedicure they offered. You would think, if I'm getting an upgraded pedicure there would be a little bit more attention/TLC. Now, although getting a rushed pedicure sucks, these are my main concerns: I have been a licensed nail technician for about 8 years and it is illegal to use "cheese graters" in a salon. You need to see a podiatrist to have your foot shaved with an implement like that. Here is why: implements that can cut live tissue on the microscopic level should be done by a medical professional. If done incorrectly, like of how they are used in salons, they create fissures AKA CRACKED HEELS. You may use a coarse foot file to remove callus safely as a nail technician. I expressed to my technician that I didn't want him to use the cheese grater on me, but he kept insisting. I eventually had to let him know that it was illegal to be using that in the salon. I also noticed that they do not use pedicure liners in their basins aka pedicure bowls. Sure, there are proper ways to disinfect that make this okay; however, I noticed all they do is spray the bowl, then rinse it out immediately. No wiping down of any kind, which we all know, it's the friction of physically removing debris and whatever bacteria laying on the surface that does the disinfecting. I also noticed that they do not remove the jet in between clients. Which means it's not being sterilized, and the bacteria collected from every single client is being circulated throughout the water during your pedicure... I noticed this unsanitary procedure a few times amongst the nail technicians taking their next client. The fact that they do this openly in front of clients, tells me that this is a common practice for them. I don't disclose my knowledge and experience in the field when I get services because to me, it shouldn't matter. If they are a good person, and they do their job correctly, I am satisfied. Nonetheless, I left with toenails that looked good. If that's all you're looking for then you'll be satisfied with this salon. read more

Came here as I was unable get my pedicure at my normal place in town. The staff is nice and place is clean. My experience was not what o was expecting. First, the technician tried to do too good of a job and took off way too much while doing my pedicure. Second, I left with my toenails still having some dirt under them after going hiking and surfing. Maybe the technician was just having an off day. read more

I found this place while going to Office Depot next door and I've always wanted to try it. It's ok. The prices are average, basic pedi starts at $25. I walked in with no appointment and was taken in right away. The seats aren't that comfortable. They do have massage capabilities, but even the massage is rough enough where it shakes your whole body. I am petite though so maybe that's why my torso was shaking so I turned it off. I started off with a warm foot soak and I was given a price list. I chose the deluxe pedi for $35 which offered a couple of extra add ons from the basic $25. The deluxe pedi came with a foot and calf massage but it was just basic. My toes were trimmed and painted and then it was over. I was able to pay and tip with credit card. The lady who helped me did an ok job but I don't think I'll be coming back. I have had much better pedicures elsewhere for cheaper. read more

Came here with my sister, both wanting gel nails. I just got simple gel nails, and it was a fairly reasonable price - I liked mines. However, my sister asked if it was possible to get a custom design, and the lady agree. First of all, my sister was unaware that this would cost significantly more - it was like double the price. And the lady only told her the cost half way through getting it done, which i think is not very professional. From far away the design looks similar to the reference pic, but you can see from the close up photo it's not done very well - some lines are slightly crooked. I just think that it shouldn't be priced significantly higher for such a simple design that is not even done that well. read more

My go to nail ladies were on vacay so we decided to go here. I was a lil iffy because some of the reviews weren't so good. But it was close to where we lived and parking was convenient. I called the day before to book for 3 pedis at 9am. A guy answered and said yes okay. Maybe an hour later they called & texted me apologizing & asked if we can come at 10am instead. It wasn't a big deal so I agreed. We came about 10 minute early and they took us in immediately. The chairs were a little outdated but the service was good. Mask optional. How did I hear about this place? The lady at the DMV! Yelp helped me to decide to come here. I don't have a specific nail place so I wanted to try this place. Called in a few days ahead for an appointment on a Tuesday at 3pm. Went to my appointment, thought I would be late but made it on time because there is lots of parking for the whole plaza. The space itself is small but doesn't stop them from the great service they provide. My friend and I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I went for a dark color pedicure and pink manicure as I can't wear crazy colors for work. Got to talking to I think one of the owners and she asked how I found out about that place and I told her about the lady at the DMV. She told me she let's the nail technician decide the designs and I really liked her nails when I went to the DMV. I wish I could do the same. I wanna go back one day to let them do a design on my fingernails! When I'm not working or heck when I feel like breaking the rules. I went to get my nails done for my trip and it was beautiful for my trip. Thank you for my beautiful nails. Unfortunately at this point my nails have grown out and don't want to take photos of them not at their prime. But never fear, I'll do them again here soon! read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. They were located at next to Pearl City Foodland but they moved in between The Pink Box and The Face Shop inside Waimalu Plaza. The owner is Nancy and she's really nice. But go to person is the sister in law Jenny. She knows that I like glitter and faded. She always take care of my manicure and the mother does my pedicure. If you want a good massage for your feet ask for Nancy mom. Your feet will feel so relax I promise. If you like Gel and glitter go ask for Jenny. She really good. If you have any suggestion like Pinterest she will do her best to follow it. I get all my ideas from you there and Jenny will try to mimic or do something way better. I came in with my daughter and we both got our nails done. She's 6 and loves this kind of thing. She received gel nails however the very next day they ALL came off! They started to peel at the corner then they all just came off as she was playing around! I purposely asked for her to get gel nails because it can hold up, plus I had to pay $7 EXTRA for glitter gel nail polish. I was so shocked and disappointed as they haven't come off so easily when I took her to other salons. I don't know what happened But my daughter was so sad. read more

James did an awesome job today! It was very awesome experience. I notice older women like coming here for the spa pedicures. Prices are affordable. Very friendly service, fast booking appointment and great technicians. There are about 7-9 pedi lounges with built in massage chair, and 5-7 mani tables, I can't remember the exact count. The color of my pedicure came out great. Pedi technician did an awesome job on my nails. Just a simple pedicure and looks like a million bucks. The service was great too, I got scrubbed, massaged, and lotion all up. Very fast! I met with James, did my gelly mani, lipstick pink nail color with silver tips and a love sign. One of the worst nail salons I've been to in a long time. I just wanted a color change and called them to see if they have anyone available to do it. I got there and told them I only wanted a color change. After picking out the color the girl rushed to take off the polish using the drill and caused a big ding in my mail. The color change was $22 which I thought was a little high but I was already there so I just paid. If they did a good job I wouldn't have minded the up charge but this salon is the worst I've ever been to. No AC and the salon was very dirty. I don't recommend anyone to this nail salon. There are better ones out there. read more

They take walk-ins, but I made an appointment 30 minutes prior just to be sure they could do both the pedi & mani. Very reasonable pricing. read more

During my most recent visit, my French tips started coming off the very next day. There were also many air bubbles, and the cuticles were not properly cleaned or prepped before the service was completed. My gel toenails had the same issue. The cuticles were not properly cleaned, the gel application was not done correctly, there were visible air bubbles, and the polish started peeling shortly after. I have no problem paying for quality service, but I do expect the work to be done properly and professionally. Unfortunately, it feels like the focus has shifted more toward rushing customers through rather than taking the time to provide quality work and proper attention to detail. I have given this location several opportunities to improve and redeem themselves, but unfortunately, I will not be returning. There are other locations that provide much better service, quality, and attention to detail.

I'm not sure if they have the incorrect phone number on file, but instead of rectifying the situation, the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. Would not recommend this place to anyone. There are many other better options on the island that will actually treat you like a paying customer. Update in response to business owner: Thanks for your response. I'd like to clarify a few points from my perspective, as I feel parts of your reply are dismissive of the customer experience. First, I did not receive any missed calls or voicemails from your business prior to the cancellation email, despite what you've stated. It's not acceptable to imply I was unresponsive when I had no way of knowing you were trying to reach me. Second, when I called to understand why my appointment was canceled, the person I spoke to was anything but polite. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or offer any real assistance, I felt I was met with an attitude that was unnecessarily condescending and unprofessional. I would've been understanding since there clearly is an issue with the phone number, but the lack of customer service and any resolution to the situation prompted me to write this review. A little empathy would have gone a long way. While I understand the holiday may have created some scheduling challenges, I don't believe that excuses the way the conversation was handled. I had the call on speakerphone, and even my friend commented on the tone and attitude I was met with. Rather than repeatedly insisting that several attempts were made to reach me, I believe it would've been more helpful to focus on finding a solution. If I were in the business owner's position, I would've said something along the lines of: "We did try reaching out to confirm your appointment, but it looks like there may have been an issue with the contact number we have. Since the Fourth of July is a busy holiday, we had to cancel, but we'd be happy to reschedule and ensure we have the right number moving forward." That kind of approach would have gone a long way in making me feel valued as a customer. I'm sharing this experience so others can make informed decisions. To be honest, if I had received them, I wouldn't be taking the time to write this review or continue this conversation. If I had actually received the calls and voicemails and failed to confirm, I would take full responsibility and accept that the cancellation was on me - but that simply wasn't the case. Instead, I was met with an attitude that felt more like I was being blamed than helped. A more customer-focused approach would've been to acknowledge that something may have gone wrong and offer a simple resolution - not just recite policy. As a constructive suggestion, you may want to consider using additional communication methods like email or text notifications when confirming appointments. It could also be those automated messages as well in order to prevent misunderstandings like this in the future. Tucked away in a small strip mall in Pearl City (further down the street from Longs and Zippy's Pearl City, headed town bound), The Beauty Collective is truly a hidden gem. Rossy (follow her on IG @justfab_nails) is my one and only go-to nail technician. I've been seeing her for years now, and come to think of it, I found her and this amazing salon when they first opened their doors years ago by guess who? Yelp of course! Rossy has helped take care of my nails, does quality nail cleaning, and a great job with gel application. Her prices are very reasonable and her services, top notch. Nail services are by appointment only (text her, it's the best way to get in touch with her and schedule an appointment as she doesn't answer her phone if she's with a client). During your appointment you can expect dedicated time to you and only you. Care is taken and she never rushes. I've always found my visits very relaxing and I can focus on myself for the moment. There's a great selection of nail and gel polishes. I'm a huge fan of her selection of glitters, metallics, and nude colors. Sometimes I feel like matting and others, high gloss - Rossy has got it all. Parking can be a bit tough if your appointment is around 9a or 10-ish because of other businesses, so prepare in advance to get there early. If you have time after your appointment, check out Button Up Cafe. Their breakfast grinds are awesome (check out my yelp review on my experience there).

After wearing them for a day, my nails are in so much pain from the poor placement and gap between my natural nail and acrylic nails. Also I have to be vigilant about lotion, soap and water getting stuck between my nail and the acrylic nails. I tried to take pictures so you can see for yourself but they really don't show how deep the gap goes. This is unsafe and a health hazard. I also originally said that the pedicure service was good and I stand by that part of my original review. However, I thought my toe nail was cut crooked but upon further inspection I realized she missed a whole corner of my nail when she painted my big toe...so that was disappointing to see. Now I have to go spend more money to have the things they messed up fixed. Save you money, don't go here...

Starting off with the good: the space is really clean with everything looking nice and new. They have massage chairs for your pedicures and everything was super comfortable. They even gave me a mini water bottle and had a hook for my purse. Services was super friendly and I loved that they played a travel food YouTube channel on their big screen tvs the whole time. The cons: unfortunately, the attention to detail was not the best with a small hair cured into my thumb nail and bubbles in a few other nails. I got a manicure with gel cateye nail polish with silver star nail stickers and a normal polish basic pedicure and the total ended up being $110 ($130 after tip). So once again, the service and the space great but for the price I think there should be more attention to detail. I've definitely gotten better quality / more intricate nail designs for equal or even cheaper elsewhere. Nail Art studio is pretty close to my house so I would go again since the service was so friendly and the space was so clean and comfortable.

I feel like my nails were not filed enough where my nails are not even and after finishing my nails she didn't double check if there was any cuticles that needed to be cut which there was. And on top of that she had to remove polish off my nails and you used a piece of hard paper towel. I would assume with this lavish nail salon, the tech would have their own brush or cotton ball to use to remove polish and not paper towel. If you are at the mall and needed a mani pedi badly I would come here but if not I would go somewhere esle.
