I got a manicure here years ago and it was okay, but I recall not liking the Christmas tree design the lady did on me. Today I went for a pedicure and it was so quick, no time to feel relaxed. The menu says 40 min pedicure, but mine was over in 33 minutes. There was no massage, more of a 20 second rub on each foot/leg. The lady seemed to be rushing to get to the next person. My toes look nice, but I don't plan to return. read more

Needed to get my toenails done. I decided to try Mimi Nail Salon. My wife had been there before. She made an appointment for me (how sweet). Well I was greeted by the owner. My wife later told me that his name was Scott He sat at me at a station and explained the options I could choose from . I didn't get the operator's name. She was cordial but spoke little english That didn't matter She did a wonderful job and left me totally satisfied. Enjoy read more

Updating review: Wow, it's been 10 months since I've been here and they have remodeled! New chairs, desks and a brighter room! It feels way better than before and the selection of colors is vast. The y put liners now for pedicure so it feels way more sanitary. The service here is also accommodating and polite. I love how they allow and welcome walk ins and don't gripe about it. They told me you could, however, go online and make an appt easily. My pedicure was done by Rose and manicure by Mimi. They came out great without any bumps. Hard to find good manicurist who does gel without it looking super bumpy. Mine came out smooth and my ombré gel manicure cost $65 and gel pedicure was also $65. I'll be back again, had a great experience this go around! read more

First time at Mimi Nail Salon in Aiea, Hawaii and I'm officially obsessed--Annie absolutely slayed! I came in super indecisive about what I wanted, but Annie was so patient and kind. She helped me look through colors and design options without making me feel rushed or judged (rare!). Even before she added polish, my nails looked the best they've looked all year--clean and shaped to perfection She's also got strong hands and gave me the most amazing hand and foot massage--like, I would genuinely go back just for that level of relaxation. Annie painted the cutest nail art and kept checking in to make sure I loved every detail. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm vibe made this one of the best mani-pedi experiences I've ever had. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming nail salon in Aiea, HI with talented nail techs who really care--go to Mimi Nail Salon and ask for Annie. Highly recommend! read more

Although I've been living in the area for several years now, I've never tried any of the nail salons in the area until my neighbor recommended Mimi Nails Salon. I stopped by one afternoon for my usual gel manicure and regular pedicure. It was easy to get an appointment as you can call or schedule online. They also take walk ins as well if they're not too busy. I was very happy with my mani and pedi, as my nails still looked awesome 3 weeks in, without much chipping (toes had minimal chipping, given they were regular polish). Unfortunately, after one of my finger nails started splitting, I decided to go back in to remove the gel. This is where I had to drop a few stars. Unlike some salons who soak your nails in acetone to remove gel, Mimi Nails tends to file off the gel with an e-file. My manicurist assured me that it's very gentle, but unfortunately I can now feel certain parts of my nail are thicker than others, the surface is not smooth, and I can still see some color that was not properly removed. Health of my nails is very important to me, which warranted a drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. I would still return to Mimi Nails in the future for a mani-pedi, but would only do so with clean nails, and will not be returning to remove my gel. I'm actually looking into ordering supplies to remove gel nails on my own in the future, as $15 just to remove gel nails is ridiculous (although I know it's standard everywhere). read more

Mimi is such a gem‼ My nails are as thin as onion paper (literally) and they peal in layers. Mimi is super gentle, but she has such fantastic ideas to make a theme setting. I designed a canoe paddle out of gold and diamonds for my husband and Mimi made the design on my nails. It was beautiful The location is great and the price is worth being spoiled. read more

Self-care in Westridge, Aiea, Hawaii... Irene M. and I had planned to go to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, AND do a couple of errands together... we had some free time in-between these five things... So, a discussion about a pedicure surfaced. We both had been neglecting ourselves, so we searched our Yelp apps for a nearby salon. I saw that our friend, Deborah, had been to Mimi Nails Salon and had a good experience. Also, my friend, Victoria C. paid only $25 per her review of Mimi Nails Salon... while we paid $40. I looked later and saw that Victoria's review was written in 2016... LOL... 8 years ago! Shucks! Mimi Nails Salon happened to be right across the street from where we were having lunch. I called and asked if we could come "now". They said, "Yes"! Located on the ground level of Westridge Shopping Center, Mimi Nails Salon is clean, bright, and spacious. It was quite busy and full on a Thursday afternoon! Gosh... thank goodness for the free, shared parking lot! Well... we chose our nail color while we waited. Irene found 2 bottles of Autumn Leaves color. I told her I chose that one before - and let's do matching! Yay! Irene got started first, then Tiffany approached me and was my competent, efficient nail technician. Ahh! My feet feel and look better! Thank you! I needed that! read more

PediCURE... My hardworking feet has seen better days and thank you Nadine for suggesting a pedicure as this is the much needed day for it to be pampered. She found Mimi through a fellow Yelper and it was right across the street from where we were and called to see if they can take us immediately which they can making the perfect timing for a productive day. Mimi Nails is located on the first level of the Westridge Shopping Center which does have lots of parking though can be busy during certain times. Walking in this cozy shop the have seven manicure stations and seven pedicure massage chairs all were quite busy but as many were almost done our timing was good but Nadine had to wait a bit for the staff unfortunately but I'm so glad that we were still able to be taken in. The wall of colors that ever so decisions of what to choose...as it's summer I wanted something light and bright but lately have always gone glitter and today is no different but the name is quite numerous "Autumn Leaves" which was a pinkish color. There are five types of pedicure service but got the basic which is the "Spa Pedicure" at $40 at about 35 minutes is a nice and great treatment for my neglected feet that has me feeling happy as the give great foot massage. Thank you! read more

My toenails were a mess and had been neglected. I went to Mimi's for a walk in pedicure and it was average. The foot and leg massage could have been better and the detail to my nails could have been better. I can still see that my nails have some cuticle that could have been cleaned up better. The massage chair is great. read more

After my experience with Mimi, sally, and uncle I would highly recommend Mimi's nail salon! My friend and I went in for 2 gelx manicure and were very impressed with the craftsmenship, care, and attentiveness of all the staff. Made an online appt for 5:15. Traffic was actually not as bad as I expected so got there about 4:30 pm. Understood... I'm early in get it but if no one couldn't take me at the time they should've told me and not made me wait for 20 min. Thy kept saying it would be two more min. I ended up going to lavish nails instead and walked right in! read more

My go to spot. Absolutely love the staff. The new updated interior makes it feel nice and comfortable.

Awesome service and nail salon I called in the morning when it opened concerning walk ins. They are currently taking walk ins. The owner conveyed that times for walk ins depends on how available the nail techs are and what services you are going to get done. Luckily I went right when it opened, I was serviced right away. I got acrylic nails along with gel polish. I recommend having Tracy if she's available. She was very patient and understanding with my nails (I have baby nails lol). She is very precise and reassuring for the entire nail process. The pricing for these nails is honestly not that bad. I would come again read more

My bestie took me to get a pedicure for my belated birthday. Plus she said she needed one too. Since we kinda like regulars the owner name Scott knows us and automatically told us choose your color and the girls will work on you. It was so relaxing the massage of the legs and trim and cut your toe nails. They were busy today but having a appointment we guarantee service. They do accept walk in as well. read more

My go to nail salon & my go to nail wahine is Miss Kim. Always willing to do anything I ask for or at least try! When I don't know what I want, I give her a color and let her do her thing. She talks story with you the whole time, makes you feel so comfortable, gives you suggestions if you just don't know what you want. I know it's just nails but hey if you paying for something at least love them right! I have had the same set for almost 2 months, not one nail broke between fills (that's a first). This recent set I let Kim do what she want, thought it was the cutest how excited she was & I walked out happy. Good vibes! This salon is a vibe, Kim is a vibe! read more

They were so helpful and made the experience so relaxing. Yen was the woman who was helping me and she was so sweet. I recommend her for mani and pedi experience. New to the island, this is staying on my list for future pampering days. Note: tips are accepted in cash, I did not know this, but just so everyone else does. Decided to give them another try since I live near by now and it's convenient for me. As soon as I walked in, I got greeted by a very friendly man. He helped me get settled in & asked me what i wanted to do. He was nice and made sure i was taken care of. The lady that did my pedicure was nice and did her thing. She was good but she messed up the paint on my big toe and had me leave with a scruff at top right. I didn't notice till a day later when I actually looked closely at my nails. But overall, the experience was wayyy better than the last & I feel comfortable coming back here again! read more

Awesome awesome service! Not sure if the guy is the owner but so joyful and positive environment although we dealing with the government shutdown and business was slow. I truly believe because of this man's positive energy that it brought customers that filled the chairs as he was just telling me how the shutdown has impacted their business. Anyway, once I got there not just the customer service is awesome but the people. I had the best foot massage ever did a deluxe pedicure and almost fell asleep. Rose was a little lady with tough hands and I was so glad my girlfriend told me about this place. I will drive here just to get the service! Mahalo nui and god bless your place of business need more people like this in the world so mahalo mahalo for your kindness and awesome customer service!! I don't do my nails often but this time was more meaningful. The reason why I wanted to get my nails was to honor my late grandma. Her favorite activity she loved to do was to pamper self and get nails done. I called to schedule an appointment for me and 6 other family members. The manicure and pedicure experience was amazing! As I sat in the massage chair getting my pedicure or sitting in a chair getting an acrylic full set, I finally realized why my grandma loved coming to the salon. The staff was really friendly and they took care of all of us especially my youngest sister! I look towards her and she was being pampered like a princess. 10/10 recommend, 10/10 would go again! read more

I have been here a few times and always ask for Annie. She is amazing, I come in with something in mind and she will build on those ideas. Every session I've had has been a great experience and I always feel comfortable here. I've discovered matte colors, sparkles, rhinestones and get so many compliments on her art work. I was referred my a friend. One thing I wouldn't do is nails here. I have a regular nail tech but due to unforeseen things she wasn't able to take me in. I knew I wanted something simple so I didn't think they could mess that up. I showed them a picture of what I wanted but they could not deliver that. I also wanted white polish to cover the fill of the acrylic but they were out. I settled for a neutral color but it was useless. love how this place offers different types of spa packages for your pedicure The staff was really nice and friendly. The place is okay, the lady who did my nails are absolutely amazing and very helpful, however the only problem is when i was paying the fee, i asked the lady in front to change my cash for the Tips she was not having a good day a lil rude i will say and for that yes.. i will never come back to a place that ruined my vibes i hope she gave my tips to those lovely ladies this has been 4 months ago, i just thought i should share this review coz i found a wonderful place that are absolutely helpful and thanking you and wishing you a great day. read more

Let me start by saying I've been to plenty of nail salons. My sister and I went here to get manicures. I asked for a gel manicure and my sister got regular polish manicure. As they were doing our nails we noticed they cut, trimmed, and went straight into putting on the gel polish. There was no cuticle care or cleaning done. I asked them about this because my cuticles were bad and they were very confused and talking amongst themselves. The lady then started to use a drill to file off the gel but I told her no that's gonna take too much time. She finished my gel nails then after did my cuticle care and cleaning. For an additional $10....I asked the owner later if I wanted a manicure with cuticle care what do I ask for and he just brushed me off and said you're fine. I will not be coming back here. read more
