Updating review: Wow, it's been 10 months since I've been here and they have remodeled! New chairs, desks and a brighter room! It feels way better than before and the selection of colors is vast. The y put liners now for pedicure so it feels way more sanitary. The service here is also accommodating and polite. I love how they allow and welcome walk ins and don't gripe about it. They told me you could, however, go online and make an appt easily. My pedicure was done by Rose and manicure by Mimi. They came out great without any bumps. Hard to find good manicurist who does gel without it looking super bumpy. Mine came out smooth and my ombré gel manicure cost $65 and gel pedicure was also $65. Although I've been living in the area for several years now, I've never tried any of the nail salons in the area until my neighbor recommended Mimi Nails Salon. I stopped by one afternoon for my usual gel manicure and regular pedicure. It was easy to get an appointment as you can call or schedule online. They also take walk ins as well if they're not too busy. I was very happy with my mani and pedi, as my nails still looked awesome 3 weeks in, without much chipping (toes had minimal chipping, given they were regular polish). Unfortunately, after one of my finger nails started splitting, I decided to go back in to remove the gel. This is where I had to drop a few stars. Unlike some salons who soak your nails in acetone to remove gel, Mimi Nails tends to file off the gel with an e-file. My manicurist assured me that it's very gentle, but unfortunately I can now feel certain parts of my nail are thicker than others, the surface is not smooth, and I can still see some color that was not properly removed. Health of my nails is very important to me, which warranted a drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. I would still return to Mimi Nails in the future for a mani-pedi, but would only do so with clean nails, and will not be returning to remove my gel. I'm actually looking into ordering supplies to remove gel nails on my own in the future, as $15 just to remove gel nails is ridiculous (although I know it's standard everywhere). read more

The foot and leg massage could have been better and the detail to my nails could have been better. I can still see that my nails have some cuticle that could have been cleaned up better. PediCURE... My hardworking feet has seen better days and thank you Nadine for suggesting a pedicure as this is the much needed day for it to be pampered. She found Mimi through a fellow Yelper and it was right across the street from where we were and called to see if they can take us immediately which they can making the perfect timing for a productive day. Mimi Nails is located on the first level of the Westridge Shopping Center which does have lots of parking though can be busy during certain times. Walking in this cozy shop the have seven manicure stations and seven pedicure massage chairs all were quite busy but as many were almost done our timing was good but Nadine had to wait a bit for the staff unfortunately but I'm so glad that we were still able to be taken in. The wall of colors that ever so decisions of what to choose...as it's summer I wanted something light and bright but lately have always gone glitter and today is no different but the name is quite numerous "Autumn Leaves" which was a pinkish color. There are five types of pedicure service but got the basic which is the "Spa Pedicure" at $40 at about 35 minutes is a nice and great treatment for my neglected feet that has me feeling happy as the give great foot massage. My friend and I went in for 2 gelx manicure and were very impressed with the craftsmenship, care, and attentiveness of all the staff. Awesome service and nail salon I called in the morning when it opened concerning walk ins. They are currently taking walk ins. The owner conveyed that times for walk ins depends on how available the nail techs are and what services you are going to get done. Luckily I went right when it opened, I was serviced right away. Decided to give them another try since I live near by now and it's convenient for me. As soon as I walked in, I got greeted by a very friendly man. He helped me get settled in & asked me what i wanted to do. He was nice and made sure i was taken care of. The lady that did my pedicure was nice and did her thing. She was good but she messed up the paint on my big toe and had me leave with a scruff at top right. I didn't notice till a day later when I actually looked closely at my nails. I don't do my nails often but this time was more meaningful. The reason why I wanted to get my nails was to honor my late grandma. Her favorite activity she loved to do was to pamper self and get nails done. I called to schedule an appointment for me and 6 other family members. The manicure and pedicure experience was amazing! As I sat in the massage chair getting my pedicure or sitting in a chair getting an acrylic full set, I finally realized why my grandma loved coming to the salon. Let me start by saying I've been to plenty of nail salons. My sister and I went here to get manicures. I asked for a gel manicure and my sister got regular polish manicure. As they were doing our nails we noticed they cut, trimmed, and went straight into putting on the gel polish. There was no cuticle care or cleaning done. I asked them about this because my cuticles were bad and they were very confused and talking amongst themselves. The lady then started to use a drill to file off the gel but I told her no that's gonna take too much time. She finished my gel nails then after did my cuticle care and cleaning. For an additional $10....I asked the owner later if I wanted a manicure with cuticle care what do I ask for and he just brushed me off and said you're fine. I will not be coming back here. read more

I was referred my a friend. One thing I wouldn't do is nails here. I have a regular nail tech but due to unforeseen things she wasn't able to take me in. I knew I wanted something simple so I didn't think they could mess that up. I showed them a picture of what I wanted but they could not deliver that. I also wanted white polish to cover the fill of the acrylic but they were out. I settled for a neutral color but it was useless. love how this place offers different types of spa packages for your pedicure The staff was really nice and friendly.
