Thanks to Diva who recommended me to Ada who personally flat ironed my hair and then cut it. I absolutely loved it. I came in 20 minutes early prior to my 10 am appointment and waited until 10:10 to be finally seated at Ada's chair. She was very professional and asked what I had wanted on my hair. I told her since I have curly hair, I wanted it flat ironed and then cut. She used a technique where she used men's razor to chop the part off, then use scissors to precisely cut my ends. Interesting! My hair came out beautiful and thinking of getting my hair colored with Ada. I noticed white strands already growing out. I definitely loved the professionalism here. I paid $31 and gave her $40 including tip. She did such an amazing job with my hair. I think this is my new go to for a hair cut and possible color. I definitely need to color up my white hairs. They also have a nail salon that does manicures and pedicures. Haven't tried that yet. I already have a lady I go to for a pedicure which is closer to home. I have been going to this salon as a regular but was very disappointed on my recent visit. I asked for a specific lady cause my mom and I like the way she cleans but when I got in, another lady took me, I didn't want to say anything cause I didn't want to embarrass the lady so I just took her anyway. I asked for a deluxe and my cleaning took less than an hr. I expected more things to be done to me since I will be paying more. She asked me what color I wanted without even showing me any colors and asks me if I wanted to see choices, well duh. At the end I saw her take out the gel machine they use and I said I wanted regular and she tells me that my past color I had was gel (which wasn't!) and then she tells me she will charge $5 because she had to remove it, again the nail polish I had wasn't gel. She didn't even try to take off by acetone, she just used the machine and assumed that it was. And then, she saw that I was wearing crocs so I said I'll take one of those disposable slippers and then tells me it's $1, I get it fine. But my experience was not as I expected. If I could even give negative negative stars for this service I would. read more

had a really disappointing experience at this nail salon. I was overcharged, my toes were not done the way I asked, and my nails turned out completely different from what I wanted. I specifically said I didn't want glitter, but they still put it on anyway instead of listening to my request. I left feeling frustrated because I paid more I should have for a service I wasn't happy with. A good nail appointment should involve listening to the customer and making sure they're satisfied before they leave. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. Last minute decision to do my nails for a trip. I called the nail salon and got an appointment the same day, for gel mani/pedi. Ample parking on the lot, when not too busy because it is located at the City Square Shopping Center. But lots of street parking too (metered). When I entered the salon, I was greeted with my technician (did not get her name), and seated at the pedicure chair right away. The pedicure was pretty fast (I don't cut my cuticles due to a medical condition) but her massage was pretty awesome and so was the massage chair. Afterwards I went to the manicure table and pretty standard manicure, I did let her cut cuticles this time. I did white gel polish on my hands and feet. Although I wished she pushed my cuticles down more and placed the polish closer towards the cuticles, but other than that, everything went well and the massage was awesome. They have 1 gender neutral restroom, the hair salon part is on the left side of the shop, and the whole salon area was pretty much neat. What I didn't like was one of the barber, sitting in the waiting area not greeting people that came in, then sat at his station with his foot on his table. Like WTH! I also noticed a few other things but I'm pretty sure most salons do it, because I used to work at a nail salon as well. Overall, I would go back if I needed my nails done ASAP. P.S. This place is ok. 3/5 from me. My mom raved about this place so I decided to check it out. She said they clean the sides her of feet well and I wanted that so of course I gave them the chance. Called to book an appointment and asked for Jade. Came in, sat down, waited a little. The owner was nice, professional and friendly. Also very beautiful. lol not that looks matters but anyways... they were also very busy so that's good! When it was finally my turn, she sits me down. Turns on the water. Water isn't even that warm but it's ok. Maybe people complain it's too hot? But I like mine super hot because I want it to soak in hot water lol. They give me the menu. I pick the most expensive one thinking it was going to have the callus removal and everything in it. But NOPE WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!! All they did was scrub scrub scrub nail polish, then more lotion to my legs, clay mask, then take it off after my nail polish. I'm looking to my right and they're taking off the callous like where was that in treatment? Why didn't that come with mine when my treatment was $55?????? I'm so confused. The deluxe was $45 so I should've gotten that if that's less and they work harder. Again, so confused After everything was done, she did an ok job. Idk I'm still on the hunt to find the best pedicure person to go do. THEY ONLY DO CASH TIP!!!!!!! My mom was mad that I told her they only do cash tip because when she came to get her nails done previously, she didn't have to do cash tip. LOL. They have an ATM machine at the smoothie shop so I went there and pulled out a $20 for my pedicure lady. I gave that to her. However, they also have a 3% charge for card as well! I came here to do my nails for prom and one of the guys made my finger under the nail bleed. He was using the buffer(?) too roughly. I pointed it out and it looked like he didn't give a damn. I'm not sure if it's because of the language barrier? I gave him a stare and showed him the blood coming out but he just sprayed it with alcohol and continued with my nails. Like, wtf???? He didn't even say anything! We informed the cashier about this and it looked like she didn't care because it was just a "small cut." We still had to pay full price. Love how I can come here as a walk in especially on a Sunday. My daughter and I came to do our pedicure to celebrate the end of Spring Break. My daughter chose to alternate between two colors, and I did a white gel. I love how my lady cleaned up my toes and shaved the calluses. It was long over due for me. So my cousin and I decided to get our pedicures done here last minute. Deluxe Request + Gel = $62 roughly, not including tip. Both ME and My cousin got Cuts + Bleeding when they were clipping our cuticle's. Thankfully I wasn't bleeding a lot but my cousin was. The rest of the massage after the bleeding was uncomfortable as they would spray our toes then it would sting. They were super nice and did apologize. I just wouldn't recommend. read more

I've been to a bunch of different salons for a pedi. This one is on my top 5. What do you look for in your pedi?! Well, this is what I look for... 1. the massage, 2. the heel scrub and 3. the cleaning for the nails. Let me tell you, they checked all 3 boxes!!! Heels are smooth, toe nails are clean and the massage was long enough for me to relax and enjoy. Parkings right in the front especially if you come as soon as they open. I like to be there in the morning around 9am and be one of the first in the door. I noticed it gets a bit busy from time to time. Customer service isn't the best they don't understand well and calling in for an appointment isnt always on time. But for the service its ignorable, just walk in early and get your service done. My mom and I have been getting our hair cut, colored and highlighted for almost 10 years by Ada. Occasionally the other lady stylist will take me in which I don't mind. But I will let no other hair stylist touch my hair as long as Cloud 9 is in business. Mind you, I drive from Central Oahu to Kalihi on my days off to get my hair done. I have been getting my hair done pretty steady since high school but lately I've just been getting the occasional semi-annual cuts (and trying to get rid of the box dye through every cut I get, finally my hair is all natural.) With all of my creative color hair ideas, I know I can count on Ada to apply her magic while letting me look professional since I work in the business industry. Furthermore, I appreciate that she doesn't force selling hair products to her clients. Obviously you can see what she uses during your visit and that she does sell, so if you like the results, you can ask to purchase. She would spend on average about 3hours coloring my hair since it just eats up a ton of liquid in each filled bowls. Inside, there is a barber or two who cuts boys and men's hair, Ada and another lady (sorry I keep forgetting your name) who cuts and colors ladies, a lady who waxes eyebrows, and a few more ladies who do pedicures and manicures. All in all, you can pretty much spend your day getting pampered all in one spot! Despite some of these negative reviews, the owner, Ada, is a very respectful and classy woman. With that being said, unless you are swearing or acting disrespectful, she has the right to kick you and your negativity out. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, back when they were Tiffany's. They under went new management but kept the same employees which is a good thing. I like coming to this place. I really like their work. These guys can cut hair good. They also massage your neck and shoulders after your hair cut. But the only thing that I don't like is when I call to schedule an appointment and when I get there they seat the walk-in people before me after I had informed them of my appointment. This happened to me twice, usually I would say forget this! and walk right on out of here but like I said, I like their work. So, I stick around. Ya! I know... I'm such a sucker! Not a bad place to cut hair. I call them Friday to make an appointment for Saturday 10am. Saturday, came around 9:55am and they ask me to wait for little bit. There's a lot of people waiting inside and we stayed outside because there's no room for my baby's stroller. Waited for about 10mins. and finally got called inside. The salon owner cut my hair. I knew she was the owner 'cause every time someone comes in she's the one greeting them, when there's phone calls she answers it and when somebody's paying she also operates the cash register. yes, she do all of that while cutting my hair. But still satisfied with what she did on my hair. She takes her time trying to make it just like how you want your hair. She charge me $26 cents something for the hair cut and tipped her $6. Would i go back here? Yes. But still not my go to salon for haircut will still search and consider going to other salons. Dec. 20, 2018 Update. I finally got to try their mani & pedi. Went twice already, first time was ehh but the second time I requested for Hannah. I love how she did my nails & i am satisfied. I had two repairs both thumb nails are broken & needed acrylic extension. They charge $5 ea. I also did gel for my hands and regular polish w. french tip for toe nails. I think french tip nails is extra. She also offered for my feet callus removed & that's another extra $5 (this one i wont recommend,not really worth it) Hannah also massage my hand through elbow which i never get with the other lady that did my nails. I've visited this salon twice, both times for pedicure services. The first time I was serviced by Leon/ Leo and he did an amazing job! I came here today and called ahead of time to see if it were busy that way I could schedule an appointment, however they said walk ins were okay since they weren't busy. I came in with a friend at the same time around 5:45 and we were seated right away. I was serviced by a younger woman and I'm sadly disappointed that my pedicure lasted no more than 20 minutes, she rushed through the whole service that by the time I was done (around 5:05) the person working on my friend hadn't even started her massage. Most likely she rushed because right after painting my nails she took the client who was waiting by the chairs. This place is okay, I'd recommend calling in and requesting for Leon/ Leo if you'd like a decent pedicure. read more

I love the way the men cut and style my son's hair and to me it's worth the long wait (usually 1 hour or more). Unfortunately I've done my nails and hair with not so great success. My toe nails would always hurt and they dug too deep. I stopped doing my nails here after 2 bad experiences. Now for my hair....a NIGHTMARE! I colored my hair here because my regular stylist was moving. My scalp was burning to the point of where I wanted to cry! I told the lady and she asked if I washed my hair the night before. I only did my regular olive oil conditioner the day before and she said that's probably why. I've never had that problem before but I guess I know now to wash my hair several days before instead. But back to my horrific experience-I now have scalp burn and my hair is stringy where there is pus oozing out. Even if I run my fingers thru my hair, it hurts! read more

My little brother was told by the barber (not gonna name) that his hair was to tangled to trim so decided to just THROW His hair up in a bun ... very poor excuse to do your JOB ! He only did the sides and left the rest as is ! When specifically told how he wanted to cut his hair ! AS A PAYING CUSTOMER!! all ik is that he's lucky I wasn't there with him.
