I come here alot to cut my hair with my mom & sister. My hair is long & thick so i pay $30 just for a cut. I think thats kind of pricey for a hair cut. They shouldn't charge for the thickness & length. It should be a set price because when i go and cut my hair its not much to cut because i wanna keep my length & cut the tips only but since my hair is "thick & long" its $30. I usually go to phiyas for my brows but the day i needed it done the lady i go to wasnt working so i came here to do it. NEVER AGAIN will i do my brows here again..first off the lady here cut my brows short so for the longest i had to draw in the end because the shape she did made my face frame weird. I was so mad & i had to pay full price $10 for a messed up brows. Your brows will never be twins but sisters....they came out looking like long lost cousins. So now on i will wait for the lady at phiyas but pay $30 here for my hair cut. Atleast my hair cuts come out nice though. Going on to nails....gel is more expensive then acrylic nails..why is that? Don't think I'll be returning. I paid $65 for a Deluxe pedi, that was far from "deluxe", and a gel mani. The lady was a little rude and impatient while I tried to find a gel polish that could somewhat match a regular nail polish for my toes. When I got my pedicure, it took like 25-28 min, and that was a deluxe... I've been to places that offer regular pedicures and do a much more in depth job. She didn't even use a stone or anything like it to smooth my heel, which by they way aren't bad at all. They cut my mother's hair yesterday, & she was VERY unpleased. It's uneven, her bangs look horrible & the whole time the stylist kept complaining. Had a bad attitude. Was rushing through. We showed her a picture of how she wanted it , but stylist kept saying "I can't , I can't" Saying my mother's hair was the problem. & complaining. She told my mother that the lady in the picture is "Haole" & has differnt hair, that's why she couldn't make my mom's hair look like the style she wanted. My mother is half white & half mexican with fine/relaxed hair. She felt very offended by the stylist's rude & racial comments. End result was nothing like the picture. She was kind and efficient and I enjoyed both services. This review is a bit late but I had great service unlike some of the other people on here. Ada was very patient and professional even though I was on a time crunch. She took her time and always checked to make sure my hair was to my liking. I haven't trusted anyone with my hair in a long time since they always messed it up so I liked that she told me what she was doing. So I decided to give this place another try. They moved locations just to the opposite side of the strip mall. They have been at the new location for about a week, is what I heard them tell another client. Cool, I think. Everything's new. They implemented using pedi chair liners. which is basically plastic bags that they put in the pedi basins. I'm all for sterility. Liked it so far, or so I thought. Lady spoke little to no English, aside from calling me, "sister" and ordering me (yes, ordering me) to place my foot, "up" or "down". When asked if the place still accepted debit cards, she didn't even look my way, spoke to the lady beside her and that lady answered me that they still did. Pedi was still mediocre. Close to no massaging. Same with the mani, and she managed to nick my thumb. She knew I felt it cause I instinctively pulled my hand away. She said nothing, then dabbed the visually bleeding cut with a towel. There was a solicitor come in and went to speak with her. She immediately interrupted her and pointed to me. She just assumed that I was interested?!?! Went to pay. They said they took debit. But get this, they "no longer take tips on debit". Since when? "Now" was the reply. I apologized, said that in this millennium with things so technical, I don't even carry cash no more. "7-11 ATM" is what she said. Well, with all the above, I didn't feel that a mediocre pedi and mani (which she cut me and didn't apologize for) and not to mention, pushing a solicitor on me during what a relaxing mani/pedi sesh was supposed to be for me, was worth walking in the hot sun to the corner 7-11 with to pay astronomical ATM fees to take out a $3 tip (cause she was only worth 10% in my opinion). I haven't done a Yelp review in a while but this was worth yelping. One of my close friends is getting tomorrow and I'm part of her bridal court (Maid of Honor). I walked in the shop NOT knowing how I wanted them. My nail tech was Helen. I showed her some samples and she help make my vision happen. She exceeded my expectations and more! She was SOOO sweet. She was gentle with me, took her time and ALWAYS asked me if all was okay. When I said "no, I want a bit more glitter etc..." She added more and asked if they were better. I loved the fact that she was SOOO accommodating and made sure that my nails were the way I wanted them to be. I've gotten my nails done over the years and this one by far is my all time favorite!!!!! I can't stop looking at it. Comfy sized salon that offers hairs cuts/color, manis, and pedis. Compared to the other reviews from the other Salon in the same structure, this place seemed like my best bet lol! Came in around 12 and was immediately greeted and asked what services I would like done, and was seated right after. The overall place is far more cleaner than much basic salons I've been to, which is a major plus for me because I'm sure we've all seen some horrors walking in to some places. The lady who did my pedi was more mature and took quality time to ensure she was doing her best work. I loved that too! I also didn't get that unwelcoming vibe either that I do get from most places. You know what I'm talking about, when their speaking in their native tongue, making gestures to your not YET pretty feet, etc. etc. lol!!! The ladies in there were all very sweet and professional. I feel like $41 ($25 basic pedi, $5 callous removal, and a $10 tip) is very reasonable, maybe the massage on my feet/legs could've been a bit better, but I'm not complaining. I usually come here to get my eyebrows waxed and they usually do a great job. This time, I came in for a lip and underarm waxing because the place I usually go to was closed for the day. After waxing my left underarm, I saw that there were still some hair. I told her, "there's still a lot of hair." She responded, "no,no, later." This lady speaks very little English. Then she waxed my right underarm and again, there were still some hair so I pointed that out again. She then responded, I'll clean it now. She proceeded to pluck the remain hair. Not only was she plucking the hair but I could also feel that my skin is also being plucked on! She showed me a mirror and I saw that there were still a lot of hair, so again I pointed that out. She then continued to pluck my hair and SKIN quickly ! She then told me she was done. When I looked in the mirror still there were lots of tiny hairs!! I was so over it. I paid my bill and left her without a tip because I was very disappointed with her work! I get home to also find that there were still a lot of tiny hairs on my lip (which was supposed to be waxed). The next morning, I found a lot of dry scabs under my arm from her plucking! I don't recommend this place for lip and underarm waxing! They do a really poor job, very half ass. But after coming back more than 6 times, I realized I have to reevaluate how I feel about this Salon and Spa. I trust this place. I have never been disappointed here. There are only two reasons I come here. To get a pedicure and to get my eye brows waxed. My mom and I come here at least once a month. My mom only goes to Cloud 9 to get her nails done. My best guy friend and I have been here twice for deluxe foot spas and pedicures because he feels most comfortable here. I have gone to Cloud 9 every time to get my eye brows waxed and I have gotten a pedicure on my own twice. In a nut shell, it's a good place to get your nails done and eye brows waxed. It's a place that provides consistency and that's what I look for. Once I find a place that knows what I like and does the job well, then expect I will come back and bring people with me to share the experience. read more

When i first walked inside they all started at me (awkward) after i told them what i wanted they told me to pick a color. It wasnt in a very nice tone but I guess since Im young they can talk to me however they please since I wont do anything about it. I asked for almond shape nails and all she did was round the edges & make the top flat. She was doing that fileing/ shaping thing too hard that it was getting uncomfortable. What made it worse was she couldnt speak english so i just had to deal with what she did. The whole thing took about 1 1/2 hours & i ddnt even get any design. There was no wait since I came at an off time (around 2:00 pm). I got color, cut and my brows done. The price was good and my stylist did a good job overall. OMG - worse experience ever, even if it's close to home!! I had a regular pedicure done - price was $22 +tax. They didn't do a good job at all. My cuticles weren't clipped, my toes weren't even filed. I clipped my toenails prior to going in - just because I like it short. They did not shave off dead skin from bottom of my foot. Pretty rude workers - and what is service.....definitely NONE - for the customer!! This is my 1st & last time ever!!! Going back to Waialae - even if it's inconvenient- for $20 +tax - they do all of the above - and pleasantly done, liked they enjoyed being of service!! My daughter (whose only 15)-had her acrylic manicure done - can't believe they charge her over $55 +tax and did not massage her hand...omg it wasn't even bling bling!!! I only come here for my haircut, but for years now my barber, Johnny, has been consistent. I haven't done any other services but I'm pretty sure they're OK. A lot of people come in and they are always busy. I also like it now that they accept and honor appointments. I used to call in for an appointment but somehow I wouldn't get my haircut in the time I asked for even when I come in early.
