I've been to Forever Nails several times and have previously had pleasant, professional experiences. Unfortunately, I've now had two uncomfortable experiences with the same nail tech. Midway through my $65 pedicure, she told me that since I was paying $65, I should "relax," yet repeatedly asked me what nail polish color I wanted. There was also a language barrier. She kept mentioning $5, and when I tried to clarify what she meant, she eventually said, "No, free." The paraffin treatment seemed very brief, and during the massage she interlaced her fingers between my toes, which I found uncomfortable. While my nails were still drying and I was still in the chair, she asked me to pay rather than waiting until I was finished. During a previous visit, this same tech actually put my sandals on HER OWN feet without asking, which I found inappropriate and unhygienic. I've had good experiences here with other nail techs, but unfortunately, this particular tech has made me uncomfortable on more than one occasion. read more

My brother and I come here once a month. My brother is visually impaired and they really take good care of him when he gets a pedicure. I get a pedicure as well with gel, lots of colors to select from. Very welcoming and the ladies there are so appreciative. They are pretty clean and usually ask if I need additional services but never pushy. read more

WORST nail salon on island ! I would give a 0 stars I've come to this salon as a teenager and whenever I I had the time throughout the years ! Ever since Kelly left, salon standards, and practices are out the window. Don't come here if you'd like any sort of designs or nail art ! Non of them are able to ! The last time I went, NYA was my artist and I had the worst experience, her complaining about doing my nails and doing any kind of design or work. No one wanted to or could do any kinds of designs and we're talking in there native languages to pass me off. when Nya finally was pushed to do my nails, she made the whole process very difficult and kept whining and literally complaining the whole time . I was very uncomfortable. The current boss lady was also very passive aggressive and terrible ! My nails looked terrible bumpy and not even shaped right ! Once I got home I buffed out all the imperfections!! Such a bad nail job and she charged me $68 for a full set I didn't want her to finish or even try doing anything to my nails.i just asked for a regular top coat of polish and I would go to Kelly ! First time I've ever not tipped ! I was so upset and unhappy with this service. FOREVER NAILS DO BETTER ! You've lost a customer, never coming back. Teach your techs to do nail art ! You are a nail salon !!!! Very happy Kelly opened her own nail salon Nail story in pearlcity/ waimalu area. Close to waimalu shopping center across from the rail entrance by pearlridge. Kelly is the best thing to ever come from that salon !! Forever nails should be ashamed!!!! read more

I'm super sad to leave a bad review, especially since last time I had a good experience. This time I was GROSSLY over charged. I understand that services and amenities like these have increased in price significantly, but to charge me $25 extra on top of the pedicure for gel polish Then five dollars extra for removal of my old polish seems excessive and highway robbery Last time I had a pedicure done at this establishment I paid $30 less than I did today Due to the inconsistent pricing, I do not recommend this establishment at all read more

I've been going to Forever Nails for my manicures and pedicures for quite some time now, and I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem. Every visit feels like a mini retreat--the salon is always clean, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the staff are incredibly kind, skilled, and professional. I leave feeling pampered and polished every single time. The attention to detail here is outstanding. Whether I'm getting a classic manicure or trying something else, they always take the time to make sure everything is perfect. They genuinely care about their work and their clients. I never feel rushed, and they're always happy to accommodate my preferences. It honestly baffles me when I see reviews of less than 3 stars for this place. Everyone is entitled to their own experience, of course, but in all the times I've been here, the service has been nothing short of excellent. It almost makes me wonder if those reviews reflect the actual service or if they were one-off misunderstandings--because my experience has consistently been above and beyond expectations. Forever Nails is my go-to for a reason. If you're looking for a place that combines skill, great service, and a relaxing environment, this is it. I'm so grateful I found them--my nails have never looked better! read more

The nail techs added services that we did not ask for. When asked about the additional charges for the services we requested, the tech said she asked my daughter (a child). This was very confusing because I was very clear on what what services we need before we started. I have lost trust this salon and techs ability to provide customers with the service they are there to receive. I have also noticed prices here are higher than in other similar locations. read more

I've visited this salon about three times. During my latest visit, I scheduled an appointment with the nail technician at the far end. The technician was excellent, but I dislike that as the salon gets busier with walk-ins, there's pressure on the staff to rush regular appointments to accommodate walk-ins. When I book, my service is confirmed, and I expect it to be respected. Walk-ins shouldn't override pre-scheduled clients. Since I pay for my service, I believe I should receive it without feeling rushed. Prioritizing walk-ins over scheduled clients seems greedy; they should be told of a wait to prevent nail techs from rushing. As a business owner, I've always told my staff that satisfied customers are essential for the business. read more

1 STAR (If I could give 0, I would) WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE -- STAY FAR AWAY I had the most painful, disappointing, and unprofessional experience at this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and a full set with manicure. First, the pedicure polish started chipping the very next day -- clearly cheap or improperly applied polish. But unfortunately, that was the least of the problems. To remove my old full set, the nail tech ripped off the acrylics with force -- not only tearing the fake nails off but ripping off part of my real nails and making me BLEED. And instead of stopping or using a proper method like acetone soak, she just kept pulling while I was clearly in pain. When I said, "You made me bleed," her only response was, "Because you said ouch." What kind of response is that? I said "ouch" because she was hurting me -- and she showed zero concern or accountability. Then came the full set. I asked for coffin-shaped nails -- instead I walked out with a mismatched mess. Every nail was a different shape, length, and angle. Some looked like almonds, others like crooked squares. It was like each finger came from a different person. I told her the nails were too short, and she tried to blame me, saying I told her to cut them -- but all I asked was to trim them slightly. She kept filing them down until they were uneven stubs. I paid $160 for this disaster (yes, I know prices are high in Hawaii, but that doesn't justify garbage work). This was the worst nail job I have ever had in my entire life -- painful, sloppy, overpriced, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place at all costs. I walked out not only disappointed but with damaged nails, bleeding fingers, and a bill that made it feel like I paid to be tortured. Never again. read more

I think ifound my favorite nail place! They really took care of me and my mom. It's been a long long time for my mom and she has them really hard nails -let's just say her nails needs TLC! My feet needed the massage! The only thing is that I know I asked for the deluxe package for me and reg for my moms medi/pedi (she doesn't like gel). And when I paid I was charged 80 versus $60. Overall very happy with my pedi & would go back ( just pay attention to which package you choose). read more

Wrong! as soon as I asked this super rude lady on the phone comes up and says come back later we don't fix nails in the morning because of our other customers. I've had many services done at Forever Nails and I can confidently say it's not worth the visit. I've gotten a full set done twice and the work was just okay. It lasted maybe a week before the nails themselves actually started to chip and break. I've had full sets fall off because they were outgrown, but never break on me before. Their hot stone pedi was nice, but the vibe was just awkward. She also literally set a timer, like a small, white, physical timer... I've been getting my lashes done for about 10 years now and saw they offer it at a decent price. They came out looking nice and lasted about as long as I'd expect them to before needing a refill. The only issue was it took much longer than usual and it seemed like she was not very experienced. A lot of glue got onto my natural lashes to the point she cut the tips of my lashes, and quite a bit into my eyes. The end result was nice enough. I will never do my brows here agajn. I kept going back to get my brows waxed at Forever Nails because they are close to my job and I could run in on my lunch break. They take walk-ins and are fast, which is great, but there isn't really any consistency. The reason I will never do my brows again is because the last time I ended up getting an infection. My eyebrows were red and inflamed for over a week no matter how many times I washed, iced, or used Neosporin or allergy relief creams. I didn't ask for tint but she used it on my brows to fill it in and make them look fuller. I don't know what chemical or dye she used, but I ended up having a bad, burning, and itchy reaction by the time I got home. By the end of the week, my eyebrows had started to thin out and form a small bald spot. I was really going here for their prices and convenience, but it's not worth the sacrifice. I visited the day after Thanksgiving. Great timing! It was only me and one other customer at 9:30am. I went in for a simple pedicure $38 and ended up getting the Supreme Volcano Pedicure $65. Felt like I'd treat my feet before having surgery this upcoming week. Christmas music is playing. Workers were busy preparing for the upcoming morning rush. The manager walked in and everyone paid attention. My technician started out with scolding hot water. Oh my, then she adjusted it. She really spent time on my toes, cuticles and skin area around the toes. A little painful but no pain no cute feet It was truly a 60 minute service including 4 different items for my legs and feet. Only negative is that there was gnat's everywhere. It was very annoying. Tech was just working right through it. For a nail salon as nice as this one, they've gotta address that gnat problem. That's unsanitary. read more

I needed a full set for my honeymoon and pedi as well. It took 4 hours to complete. First, my usual nail tech was booked so I couldn't schedule with her. I was given the first available for pedi and a different one for the full set. No issue whatsoever for the pedicure. But the full set was a nightmare. I asked for a specific look which was to use my real nails and to use a nail inspo photo I provided for the design. The nail tech did not listen at all and immediately told me that she couldn't do it without nail tips and that it wouldn't look good. So I agreed to the nail tips. This took a little over 3 hours. When she began rushing, she would drill my cuticles. Every time I would tell her to stop, she would either move on to the next or use her sharp nail to push my already bleeding cuticle back. I ended up telling her to stop and find another way to sand my nail down because at this point, I had 5 cuticles that were bleeding. I also had an event to attend so I did not have time to have someone else redo them. These are by far the worse nails I've ever had done. I'm still in a state of shock at how terrible my cuticles look, the spaces in between my nail bed and the added tips, and the lack of attention to detail on the design. I'll end up spending more money fixing them at my honeymoon destination. I will find out her name and update the review. My usual nail tech is Kelly and she's 5 stars. Unfortunately, this particular experience deserves 1 star, if that. I will never recommend this place UNLESS you see Kelly. read more

Confirmed the appointment the day before. We showed-up 15 mins early. We weren't seated until 30 mins past our scheduled time and then they didn't start for a a Bit longer. First time here, wanted a last minute pedicure. I ran in at 6:15 pm and they close at 7 pm. They were so nice and did not make me feel like I was late at all. Mimi gave me a nice clean pedicure. I only go to Kelly for mani's and Jenny (with blonde hair) for pedi's so I can't say too much about everyone else but I love the vibe here. Everyone is nice and smiles when they walk by, unlike some other shops haha. Also this is a bigger shop verses some other places that are kinda cramped and busy, which I love cause when it's cramped and busy it stresses me out and when I go out to pamper myself I'm going out to destress from my crazy Little's at home and work lol. read more

I came to this salon to get my eyebrows waxed and loved the results so I continued to go for at least 3 visits then one day I decided to get a face wax and the experience was horrible. The technician took skin off of my face and did not take all the hair off! I was mortified the next day I woke up with burns on both of my cheeks. It stung at first but i thought it was just the wax but after seeing the burns I was highly upset. I drive from Ewa to Honolulu for this quality of service. Kelly is friendly, professional, flexible, and talented. I love butterflies and she always has colorful stickers for me to choose from. However, when I wanted hand drawn, she was up to the challenge. I had an experience with another tech who argues with me about the band of the shape of mail I want. I have been coming to this nail salon every 6 weeks or so for over 2 years now and spending close to $100 with each visit . I just had the worst nail experience of my life. I will never go back. I asked to have dip taken off and a manicure over my real nails. I was met with immediate discontent and made to feel like an idiot after I repeatedly asked to have a manicure done on my real nails afterwards. I left with the attached picture. If you're looking for a lowkey dull environment this is the place to go. They do things very fast, they even go far as to pulling a timer out. I love the work they performed overall but if I wanted express pedicures I would've went with The cheaper option instead of the supreme volcano. I didn't want no polish on my toes and I guess that's weird to them because every two seconds they asked me "are you sure ? No color? Why no color" I feel like once a costumer says no it should just be understood. This is also the first place I've ever been to where the lady doesn't wear gloves and they also re use their nail buffer & feet scrubber cause it is worn out. Which is a shame cause like I said the service is good overall! Just wish it was more clean and less pushy to spend more. Military discounts on Tuesday 5%. read more

I had asked for round, short nails. The individual who was doing my nails did not give her name, but to be fair, I am someone who does find it hard to speak up in a nail salon. I felt unwanted and as if I was treated as if I was being rushing out of the salon. She was aggressive during filing. when I asked for round and pointed to the shape, she continued with the shape she was stating. After shaping, I had asked to get up to use the restroom, and she gave the dirtiest look. When painting was finished, she put oil all over one hand, said to use for both, and the oil in turn then ruined the leather on both my wallet and bag due to their being too much. When I went to pay, she stated after the fact a up charge due to using card, and then stated only cash tip... I would've been more than happy to pull cash, and come back. But instead I was leaving with a dirty look, wet purse and wallet due to the oil, and a nail tech who seemed upset although I had asked for a specific shape three times. read more

This was my second visit in a month as I've gone to another salon for years because the shops service declined greatly. My return visit went alright and tried again. Evidently, the first return visit was a rare occasion! The manicurist literally harmed me repeatedly during a pedicure last night. She kept ripping my toes apart and even pushed back my pinky toe upwards to the point where I said "Ouch!" She lifted both big toes nails, which is extremely painful. She then went as far as to dig her thumb nail into my toes while painting them and scrapping off extra paint. She talked in a second language loudly to the other manicurist who stayed quiet. When I called today I was told I had to go in to show my toes. The owner did absolutely nothing, other than say I should of said something to her last night.
