We arrived for our appointment 10 minutes early and waited for over 40 minutes for our appointment! It happens and I could look past this of the woman doing my nails wasn't so rude. She barely spoke to me and twisted my fingers to hard! Rushed through and my nails are different shapes, as well as different thickness and it is clear there are multiple areas polish and buffing were missed! I paid 35$ plus tip for a bumpy chunky fill and a bad nail design, a cut on my finger ( which happens so I'm not mad about that) but then they put nail glue on/in it. I understand it stops the bleeding but it's a cut that was Already clotted. The nail glued has the area red and puffy. When I went and told them I was kind of upset I was told I should have gotten my nails filled by the person who did it... i understand but at the same time its a service that I should be able to get repeated especially the money I pay plus tip. They said there was nothing they can do to help Besides remove the nail glue off my cut with acetone. Overall really disappointed, the front desk man didn't seem to care and sort of brushed it off. I make an appointment every time I come here and usually end up waiting 30-45 minutes PAST my appointment to be taken care of due to double/triple bookings and people walking in. Other than that, they've always done a fantastic job on my nails. Just frustrating when you call ahead, get there a few minutes early and then have to waste 45 minutes just sitting there. read more

I got my nails done here and it was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had! The nail techs were very polite and the store was clean, however... my friends and I waited almost an hour to have our nails done! The technician that I had wasn't very gentle and to remove what was left of my old nails, she just ripped them off without any prep or filing! I was also very disappointed to see that none of the nails match in length or thickness, they were all haphazardly cut and shaped. Definitely not worth the $65 I paid!!!! read more

Had an appointment today at 2:30. Got there on time, the receptionist Carrie was extremely curt as she showed me to my seat where I sat for an hour and a half watching as others were seated around me. I realize a 2:30 appointment doesn't mean 2:30 exact, but why tell me to come in at 2:30 if I was sitting there waiting til 3:50? Not everyone has the luxury to spend hours at the nail salon. Absolutely not okay, I've given Diamond multiple chances and they disappoint every time. Go somewhere that respects you and your time. read more

This was the single worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. First, I'll say this: my gel polish looked great for at least an hour before it started to peel. But for the 2.5 hours it took to get in and out for a basic mani/pedi on short natural nails, I had the marvelous experience of the nail tech scowling, complaining about the condition of my feet (toe shaming?), jerking my feet around, and snapping at me. Sure, I needed a pedicure, and I'm a runner; my toes aren't exactly for modeling, but they're hardly worth dealing with this btch. This is my favorite place to get my nails done. It's very clean and the staff are very friendly. It is ALWAYS busy though. I try to get in during the week or mornings on the weekend if I can just to avoid the crowds. I also like their sister store, "Pearl Nails" over by the UMD campus. My bridesmaid and I went there before my wedding and our nails turned out great. read more

Went here to get a full set of gel nails. Very friendly workers. Very strong smells, kind of difficult to sit through. Enjoyed being able to watch movies while getting nails done. Price was slight deceiving, they had a 35$ price up on their board behind the desk for what i had done, but when finished it was 40$. ( no huge deal). Nails turned out really well though. Overall satisfied with salon, I would recommend to others. Went in to have my nails filled, that same night my nail tip got smudged and went in the next day and they took care of it. I was at my friend's cabin and really wanted a mani-pedi, so we drove into Duluth and searched the Internet for a nail salon. The older man who did my mani and pedi was distracted. He got up from his chair 2-3 times and when he would return he didn't know what finger or toe he was on. He didn't push back my cuticles. The gel mani is 3 days old now and looks like it was done at least a week ago, looks like my nails have a week's growth because he did a poor prep job. My toes had polish on some of the cuticles and under my nail tip. I must say that the salon was very busy on a Saturday afternoon and they got me in without an appointment in less than ten minutes, but it wasn't worth the money I spent. read more

Went there in July 2014 with my sister to get our nails done for my wedding. All around a bad experience. I made the appointments 5weeks in advance; arrived to a packed salon with a large wedding part eating and drinking while getting nails done. After being put in chairs we sat there for over 20mins as people from the other party who arrived after us where worked on. I finally had to flag someone over in order to remind them we were there and waiting! The pedicure was average. Once we were at manicures, my sister and I were placed at opposite ends of the salon. My sister's manicurist/pedicurist was selling gel nails hard. Even after saying no several times he kept asking. Both of the gentlemen working on us were more concerned with the other party than working on us and were very distracted. The manicures were both bad. Mine wasn't dry hours later; it was still smudging. My sister's French tips were hashed and were flaking off by the next morning, prior to the wedding. Upon taking the manicure off my sister's nails are terribly damaged. Lots of deep scratches and incredibly dull. Needless to say, we won't be going back. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at Diamond Nails. I booked an appointment a month in advance for myself and a friend to get mani-pedis the day before her wedding. When we arrived, we still had to wait 20 minutes and none of the employees directed us on where to go, etc. my pedicurist ranted about her family the entire time she did my toes, to the point where my friend and I could barely have a conversation! She also cut my toenails at such a deep angle that my nails are severely ingrown a week later. The manicurist was kind and quieter.. However, he did a sloppy job. 3 days later my gel mani was peeling off and about 1/8" of my nail was showing. I had to remove it after only a week. I was super disappointed considering the price I paid! I definitely won't be back. I gave them 2 stars because it is a nice-looking facility and we loved the massage chairs. read more

I went in to get an acrylic fill, where my normal salon told me to go due to being busy til 2:30pm. During my fill when the polish was being taken off and having other things done, my ring finger on my left hand got VERY swollen, red, tender, with a very bad burning sensation with whatever he did, and after i showed someone who worked there after i showed my mom, all they did was put my finger under some water and send me on my way. My finger is still very swollen and tender, to note i didnt have ANY cuts on my fingers to cause this. I will NEVER go back to this salon due to what they did to my finger. read more

Terrible place. The lady I saw, I asked for stilleto nails, she did them, I asked for them to be shorter about 5 times. Ended up leaving with them not how I wanted. I ended up going back and hour later and waited for another girl to fix them, she chopped them all super short, I told her I wanted either stiletto or coffin shape whatever would work, she ended up just giving me squoval, they were too short and were closing so I just let it be. I double looked and one of my nails was like crazy shorter than the rest and I told her, she had to redo it, she soaked my nail off, then cut me with the cuticle nippers, used the drill and cut my cuticles then too, my finger was sore and what I ended up with was nothing that I wanted. It was a hassle, wasn't relaxing at all and was very disappointed. Will never go back. Terrible service. read more

Terrible. Both times I went there they didn't listen to what I asked for. Yesterday I went and the nail tech was SUPER aggressive with my fingers. He burned them like 20 times and was like grinding the sides of my nails while he was filing. I also made it very clear that I wanted all acrylic and they went ahead and gave me gel polish anyways ?? After I said something the guy didn't really say much and just nodded his head. Do NOT recommend. There are wayyy better nail salons around the area for the same price or cheaper AND better quality. I went to diamond nails thinking I'd get a good experience from all the good reviews with the new owner & I was sadly mistaken, the woman who did my nails ripped off my acrylic nail with my real nail & proceeded to try and just put acrylic on the skin where my nail should be, she also cut my skin multiple times. I always go here to get my nails done. I always have a great experience. Since the remodel, it is always clean, well-kept, and beautiful. My nails are always done beautifully and I find that normal polish will last for over a week and gel will last for a month plus. The service is always amazing and they always greet you with a smile.
