Bubbles in polish

Worst mani and pedi I've ever had. Total waste of time and money. Within 30 minutes of leaving, despite having sat under their dryer lights for an extra 20+ minutes, both the mani and pedi are ruined. At no time did the lady use lotion on my hands or do any kind of massage and hands are now visibly dry. I chose a light natural color of polish and it went on uneven and chunky, even after two coats. One of the other workers came over and looked at and said to me that I chose a tricky color of polish. Ok, how am I supposed to know that and why do they offer it if it doesn't cover? As if it is my fault and it's ok to blame your customer. She took over and told the other lady to brush it on lightly and had to four coats and sent me to the dryer for ahalf hour. As soon as I left and touched anything, it was wrecked - Dented and mushy. She spent very little time on my feet and the end result is they are not smooth, visibly un-moisturized and the polished is also smudged All of the prices on their printed cards are wrong and they just have a little square of paper stapled to it saying some prices have increased, but they don't say which ones or what price they have changed to. A regular mani and pedi was $50, and I regret the tip I left on top of it. Needless to say I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone, super disappointing.

Sorry to show my feet but nice job.

I have tried several other nail salons in Duluth and I always come back to VP. The owner always shows that she cares about good service and to me that is so important as a business owner myself. My nails are always beautifully done and when I asked to be done at a certain time, they are always upfront about whether or not they can do it and finish on time. Excellent service.

Very nice place, nice people and very good service. It's hard for me to find places that do my nails exactly how I like it, but here they do them perfect every time. The place is also pretty on the inside. Their appointment system is a little informal though. Sometimes you'll call for an appointment and get there and still wait a little while.

This is a decent place thatis priced well. Still feels like a factory line, but it gets the job done.

I did receive both and during my pedicure one of the ladies went around with a tray with food and beverage on it and asked if I wanted a snack or refreshment.

Note: Out of towner here AND I am not a nail connoisseur to any stretch of the imagination…read more Four solid stars because they seemed clean enough, friendly enough, and seemed okay enough for the price. I got a French gel manicure for $43 - and they do a no mess no fuss eyebrow wax for $12. Yes Susan, I tipped - that price doesn't include a tip. The gal was nice and my French lines were straight (only reason I come to a salon because I can't do French to save anything). Nothing was blow-my-mind over the top but you can go drink at Applebees after you're done in the mall. Would it be my go-to spot? Probably not. Would I gamble again for a decent French gel manicure when I am at the mall? Sure!

I am really sad, shocked and embarrassed by my latest visit to Q Nails...a salon I have frequented…read morereligiously for nearly ten years. I was left shocked and embarrassed by my latest visit to Q this afternoon. I recently got a gel mani and pedi and shortly after getting home, I noticed my pink polish had started to turn yellow in ugly blotches across both my nails and toenails. I tried to live with it for a few days because I didn't want to complain but it kept getting worse. I go to the salon very often and I felt they'd understand, especially after paying $122 dollars at my previous appointment just a week prior. I was also taking the time to get something fixed that shouldn't have ever happened in the first place. I was very nice about it all, showed the man at the front my nails and before I could even finish what I was saying, he interrupted me and demanded I tell him who my nail tech was. He was clearly very angry but I assumed he was upset that someone had made a small mistake and had to fix it. A few minutes later, I was seated and the nail tech started fixing them for me. As she was doing so, the man at the front walked over to us and started questioning me, asking me several times if I had gone swimming or shampooed my hair recently. I said no to the swimming, and he started hinting that this was my fault. I was confused but said things happen and I appreciated them switching out the color quick. The nail tech was kind and didn't want to accept my tip so I went to leave cash at the front for her and thank them once more for making this fix. Before I could even finish what I was saying, the man at the front interrupted me again and said that he wouldn't charge me this time but that he would be charging me in the future because it was likely MY FAULT that my nails turned yellow...not a salon error. He was clearly very angry at me and let it be known to me and everyone in the salon. A quick Google search shows that polish turning yellow is actually a result of expired polish or an error in the curing process. He also could have politely asked me these questions when I walked in the salon, not cut me off and wait to chew me out when I am on my way out. I was too shocked to respond and absolutely embarrassed. Berating a LOYAL customer in front of a packed house is bad business. Telling a customer who was kind and patient with THEIR error that it is her fault while all the other customers in the place are watching is also bad business. Sure, they might do a fine job but why would you spend your hard-earned money somewhere they treat their longest and most loyal customers this way? Or any customer at all? I am truly shocked and saddened to have been treated this way, and incredibly embarrassed. There's lots of other options in Duluth where they don't make the customer feel horrible.

The tech didn't even introduce himself. He found out I was from California and berated California the entire time and kept making snide comments. I asked several times about having the pedicure done at the same time and I was told that they couldn't do that because "we're not like California people come here to relax"- although I saw many staff and we're sitting around doing nothing. when I was done, I asked for a receipt that was itemized and they refused to give it to me. They upcharged my nine year-old niece and cut her cuticles so badly that she was bleeding in two places Upon check out at the desk, I insisted on a receipt which created dialogue with a man who wouldn't even look at me. He had tattoos and he was very short with me. He behaved like he didn't wanna be there when I kept persisting with the conversation. A customer started cursing me out telling me to get the F out and calling me several names. The staff did nothing to stop the situation. Tech left paint on my hands on my fingers and when I asked him to remove it he got the clippers out and started clipping my skin with the paint attached to it. Is this the way it's done in this part of the country? Terrible. Just so uncivilized and gross.

"Fiery & Fierce at Colour Lounge!"…read more Okay, listen up, because I've just been through the ultimate hair transformation at Colour Lounge, and if you're thinking about going black and red, you need to read this. Imagine taking Wednesday Addams, tossing her in a blender with Jessica Rabbit, and pouring that gorgeous, badass mixture straight onto my head. The result? Absolute fire. My hairdresser didn't just slap some dye on my head and call it a day. Oh no. This was ART. They took one look at me, saw I was ready to embrace my inner rockstar (or villain--depends on the day, honestly), and turned my wild vision into a reality. They nailed the perfect inky black and deep, sizzling red combo that had me questioning whether I was too hot to be seen in public. We're talking layers of red and black woven together so seamlessly that people might think my hair's literally on fire when I walk by. Subtle? No. Glorious? Absolutely. And the whole experience? Let's just say my hairdresser has the patience of a saint and the sass of a drag queen--they knew exactly how to keep me laughing while wielding enough foil to power a small satellite. If you're looking for someone who knows their way around black-and-red hair like a pro and who'll treat you like royalty (while dishing out some A+ life advice), book here immediately.
