I booked my appointment two days in advance with two specific nail technicians who were recommended to me, but when we arrived, they didn't honor our booking and assigned us to different technicians without telling us beforehand. I went with my niece, and while her nail tech did a beautiful job, mine was absolutely horrible. I booked because I fell in love with a nail design that was featured on Lux Nails & Spa's own website. I showed my nail lady the exact photo and asked for that design on both my nails and my toes. She told me she couldn't do it on my toes because the flower was thick or something of that nature, so I said that was fine and agreed to a French pedicure. I was under the impression I was still getting the design on my fingernails. We spent about two hours in the salon. It wasn't until my builder gel was already finished that she finally told me the girl who created the design didn't work there anymore. I even suggested changing the design to just half yellow half pink like the pinky on the picture and she said they didn't have that yellowmake it work, and that I should just do plain pink. At that point, I felt completely stuck. If I had been told before the service started that they couldn't recreate the design they advertise on their own website, I never would have agreed to any services. The workmanship was just as disappointing. I paid for the # 2 pedicure and she brought out the hot stones for 20 seconds on my leg. There was no cuticle care on my hands or feet, my heels were barely touched, the builder gel is thick and uneven, the French tips are sloppy, and there is polish on my skin. The photos speak for themselves. We spent $263.96 at this salon.

The music was relaxing and not too loud, and they had great color options to choose from. The pedicure itself was nice - pretty standard with polish removal and nail trim, callus removal with pumice, leg massage, and warm towel. You do get a discount for paying in cash.

I asked several times about having the pedicure done at the same time and I was told that they couldn't do that because "we're not like California people come here to relax"- although I saw many staff and we're sitting around doing nothing. when I was done, I asked for a receipt that was itemized and they refused to give it to me. They upcharged my nine year-old niece and cut her cuticles so badly that she was bleeding in two places Upon check out at the desk, I insisted on a receipt which created dialogue with a man who wouldn't even look at me. He had tattoos and he was very short with me. He behaved like he didn't wanna be there when I kept persisting with the conversation. A customer started cursing me out telling me to get the F out and calling me several names. The staff did nothing to stop the situation. Tech left paint on my hands on my fingers and when I asked him to remove it he got the clippers out and started clipping my skin with the paint attached to it. Is this the way it's done in this part of the country? Terrible. Just so uncivilized and gross.

My pedicure was slightly better than my manicure, just because he didn't file my toenails, so they didn't have the chance to be as ragged as the nails on my hands. Crooked French tips again. There was a foot and leg massage involved in the whole thing. He used some aveda lotion I think, and it left my legs and feet very greasy. By the next day, the paint on my nails was already chipping. They used tons of different products...I don't know what all. All kinds of primers and stuff. For nothing. It was all just to give you a "spa" experience, and the end result that I came there for (painted nails) was totally shoddy. $24 for manicure, I don't know how much the pedicure was. Boooooo! Terrible job! They're really nice kids, and they put effort into it, but I think they just don't know what they're doing. Terrible manicure. Terrible, I say!
