The 2016 explorer Neal sold me is a giant piece of JUNK. Nickel and dimed me on the price because the car was supposedly in amazing condition because of the "low miles". I bought the vehicle in may, a week after buying it I started noticing that when cruising at parking lot speeds the car makes a weird clanking metal on metal sound while Jerking/ pulsing the entire vehicle..... couple weeks later the vehicle is overheating bad AND the a pillar flies off on the freeway. $1500 later the mechanic fixed the overheating issue. So while obtaining a car (our dream car) from them was super easy we now know why. The eagerness, super friendliness and low pricing was a cover for the fact they sell lemons. On top of having to replace the front suspension , thermostat and fuel pump within the first year. (None of which was covered under their special extended warranty we purchased, of course) because the previous owner did a lot of shoddy custom work on it (the suspension was aftermarket and looked as tho they cut down springs that were too long and rigged them to fit) We have been fighting with mechanics for TWO YEARS to get it to pass smog so we can receive our tags and legally drive it again. We have a court date for a fix it ticket that we got taking it to said mechanics on Monday that we cannot fix and may possibly lose the car over now because it will not pass smog. We finally got it into a specialist for them to tell us that someone before us did customizations to the COMPUTER which causes some systems to not reset/cycle properly and thus not able to pass smog. And there's nothing we can do about it save REPLACING THE ENTIRE COMPUTER. This indicates one of two things- the dealership either never smogged the car before we bought it and just signed off on the smog cert as a PASS without actually testing it. -OR- they did run smog on it, and KNEW it wouldn't clear and passed it anyways just to sell it and get it off their lot. This is shady and bad business. We still owe on this car and have to now figure out how to trade/sell it so we can have a vehicle on the road again because this one will never be ca legal. read more

My experience purchasing my car was incredible however when it came time for me to receive my registration I never received it in the mail. I called the dealership to follow up and was told that they had already mailed it out and that there was nothing more that they could do. I was told that there were thefts where people were stealing car registrations through the mail. I was advised to contact the DMV on my own. If you know of "registration thefts" why not mail it out with requiring a signature upon delivery? I had to take an afternoon off from my new job (where I am still on probation) to go to the DMV where I had to pay extra money to get a new registration printed. I already payed the dealership to handle all registration paperwork, what exactly did I pay for? When it came time for me to get my oil changed (a free perk for doing business with them) when I showed up to the address no one was there. I called the mechanic and no one answered. When I went to the dealership I was sent back to the same location I had just come from. Wasted gas money on my part. Very disappointed in the customer service. Seems as though as soon as the purchase is made they no longer care about professionalism. read more

My husband and I know now that we made a huge mistake and purchased a 2007 VW New Beetle for $4995 on 5/18/19 and signed all the papers and drove it 1.5 hours home. When we purchased this car from Diamond Auto Exchange, we were told that it needed a new A/C and had a weak battery. Ok. Next day, however, I took it to our auto shop and had an inspection done on it. We were told that the rust is extremely heavy "throughout the vehicle" and has an engine oil leak among many other things totaling 2,370.88 to fix (not including the cost of new AC)! I alerted the dealer that day. Thank goodness for the 2-day cancellation/return policy as we drove back the next day and they processed the return. They were very friendly and apologetic about the car. This car never should have been placed on lot for sale to begin with. Lesson learned. Advice...when buying as-is, do buy the 2 day return policy and get the car inspected before buying it. And buy local...we were an hour and a half away, drove 3 times back and forth in 3 days...very inconvenient and awful considering the problems we had...and lost money in the deal. So, don't make the same mistakes we made. Be smart! (3 stars only because they were helpful during the return process). Also, I don't see the car listed there anymore so hopefully they got rid of that dud of a car...or in process of fixing it, or sent it away to an auction. read more

I had a 2012 custom RS Camaro that was totaled in an accident. I had been driving by this location seeing their 2013 yellow RS Camaro out front. The day before thanksgiving I walked onto the lot negotiated with the staff and within 2 hours, I purchased the car. The back tires had no tread, so the staff sent me to tire city, where they replaced the tires immediately. They treated me very well, shopped around for a good interest rate for me for having good credit, fed me lunch and were very accommodating. Two days later, Friday at work, I noticed an ATF leak under the car after I moved it. I took it to Jiffy lube in Santa Ana where we changed the oil and the rear differential fluid as well as the maintenance hadn't been done. We checked the power steering fluid, which was empty and was refilled. The staff at JL has done work on my previous cars for ten years. They took a look at the ATF leak and told me it was the transmission cooling line and a minor leak that needed to be fixed. The manager told me the type of problem with the ATF leak was a typical of the car I was driving but at about 80 - 90,000 miles. They topped off the ATF fluid for me. I've driven Chevy Camaro's for 10 years and HAVE never had problems like this as I've always adhered to my maintenance schedules. I called auto diamond exchange and they asked me to bring the car in Monday so their mechanic could look at the problem. After looking at the front tires and their tread, they needed to be replaced too. The staff at Auto diamond was friendly and assured me they'd resolve my issues. Sunday, the car was slipping out of gear and barely able to drive. I got it to their location and left the keys. There was a puddle of transmission fluid where I had parked the vehicle Saturday night. So, I drop off the car for them to look at Monday morning. I had the car for a total of four days and now I've got no vehicle. I had to Uber to work Sunday night and then borrow a car Monday morning to go to work. I wasn't happy with this after spending the money I had just done. Monday, Larry, the owner and his staff did the right thing by loaning me a car to use while my purchased car was towed to the Chevy dealer as it wasn't drive-able. Larry told me the good news was the car had a 100,000 powertran warranty through Chevrolet. So my four day old car is now getting a new transmission. I, then began doing research on diamond auto exchange and found quite a bit of negative information on previous car purchases with some buyers, but I liked that Diamond auto responded to each of these buyers with the opportunity to fix the issues. In fairness, their response to my situation has been what it should standing behind their vehicle and the customers best interest. They've been courteous and have shown they wish to resolve the issue and get the car I bought fixed as soon as possible. I'm a little concerned that a car with 51,000 miles and two previous owners would need a new transmission, I've given five stars because with the exception of having to Uber and borrow a car for a morning, they've been courteous, professional and accommodating to this point. On Friday I went to pick up my car. They ( Diamond auto) changed my oil, replaced my brake pads and rotors on the front of the car and the transmission line leak was fixed. As I sat down with Larry, he presented me with the bills to prove the work was done. I've driven the car for three days and it runs smoothly and problem free. Tried saying rims were worth 3000$ when actual listed price for rims are only 1200$ for the set which was new price but the paint on the rims were faded and had curb rash. I knew it would be a used car because what I wanted was a Mazda 5. I did a quick search and found a 2014 with under 50k miles at Diamond Auto Exchange. Having looked around for a few days I knew that their price of 13k was a good one so I called and reached Mike. We had already been approved by our bank for financing and so I just needed an out the door price. Mike was able to give it to me right over the phone and even pulled the car from inventory for us until we could get down to see it. Later that day I found out that we needed an invoice to get the funding process started. Again I called and they were able to help us right away. We were even able to drive it home that night with just a letter from our bank. Upon seeing the car I noticed a few dings that they said they would fix right away but I needed the car for a road trip that weekend so I said I would bring it back on Tuesday.
