--- BUYER BEWARE!!! WARNING - DO NOT BUY HERE !!! I drove all the way from Carlsbad to Bakersfield to purchase a car from Unique Auto Center, paying $10,000 cash in full. My experience with this dealership was deeply disappointing and stressful from start to finish. Before driving up, I explicitly asked the salesman for real exterior photos of the vehicle. Instead of sending actual photos of the car on their lot, he pointed me to stock/showroom photos on their website. When I arrived, the car was deliberately parked in a tight, poorly lit area. Only after completing the transaction did I realize the bumper paint didn't match and had clearly been spray-painted over. Additionally, during my drive up, the salesman repeatedly texted me in a robotic, aggressive manner demanding photos of my cashier's check to verify funds--showing zero personal care or basic customer service. As a parent navigating serious health issues (cancer) and needing reliable transportation for medical appointments and for my child with special needs, I trusted this business to be upfront. That trust was completely misplaced. Immediately after leaving, I noticed severe, aggressive knocking whenever the transmission shifted. I brought the vehicle straight to a certified Mercedes-Benz dealership for a full inspection. They uncovered two major, dangerous issues: Unique Auto Center claimed to have replaced the windshield, but Mercedes showed me that it was never clipped in properly--a major safety oversight. The engine has a cracked valve, requiring an estimated $2,000 to $5,000 in immediate repairs. The dealership admitted they purchased this car straight from auction and flipped it without proper inspection or transparent disclosure. Selling a car with hidden mechanical issues and unsafe windshield installation to a cash buyer is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache, money, and safety risks--look elsewhere. The manger expressed that he would be willing to help pay for a paint job on the broken car lol why would I invest more money into a car that is broken. And why would you ever pay to have a car painted after you bought it. They should have never sold a car that was spray painted insane!!! And then on top ask for me to pay half Disgusting !!!!!! I've lost 12,000 and I'm dying from cancer. You people are sick sick people. It's so wrong what you've done here. read more

Greedy and liars. ‼A car listed around $13k ended up being nearly $20k out the door due to added fees and extras like LoJack, paint protection, and warranty. I was also given conflicting information about the pink slip/title, which was concerning. One person said he didn't, like he wanted us to leave, the other person said they did and they could just order it. Make sure to get a full itemized out-the-door breakdown before visiting. You're charging 3k or 3.5k mandatory warranty although I see many reviews talking about how cars need repairs or selling them lemon cars and people are having to pay out of pocket. Wasted time and gas driving here, it's an hour drive for us, they force you to come in or wont give you the actual break down. Surprise here's the extra mandatory fees. We had to file a DMV investigation because they told us it was DMV's fault we didn't get our plates. We have only 2 weeks before the temporary license expires and we can't drive the vehicle anymore. Then all of a sudden they come up with the plates?! On the receipt it says they paid for it yesterday! I think they might get in trouble over this. BE CAREFUL. Updated/Edited after full experience: Luis is amazing very personable and professional. He made solid effort to get us the a deal we were ok with. Luis gets As far as the sales personnel goes I shall not name them, but they really didn't have to do much, we called for a particular vehicle they had, we came in talked, test drove the car and decided we'd move forward and see if we could strike a deal. That's when we met Luis and he was great! The reason I'm giving 3 stars is After we struck a deal and signed paperwork the sales rep asked could I leave a review and pulled out the QR code while we were still in the office and if we could take a picture, I left a quick review. normally I don't do reviews immediately. The review was short vague and basically just praising Luis for his professionalism. However after submitting the review and taking the picture the sales rep gave us the keys shook our hands and that was that. That's when I realized the car hadn't been washed and the gas tank was empty. This isn't my first vehicle purchase in my 40 years on earth. From a customer service perspective it really irritated me. Yes I could have asked hey can you fill the tank and give it a wash, but it's a matter of principle for me. I shouldn't have to. What was the sales rep doing while Luis was working to wrap up the deal? That's when that car should have been washed and fueled up. We were there about 2 hours I don't want to have to now wait even further to see something through that should have already been done. At that moment I knew that the following day I'd be updating this review to give people an honest feedback. I am a big proponent of customer service from start to finish and if it's a matter of me prompting people to do what should have been done, and leaving an honest review I'm choosing the honest review. I'm not there to teach people how customer satisfaction works. Also, the finance person really seemed like they didn't want to be there. I was trying to initiate small talk about the dodgers because they had dodgers gear on. I don't watch sports but he didn't seem as if he was interested in engaging in conversation as he checked his watch. That's when he called in the sales rep to finish up the paperwork which was only a few pages left at that point. Pros: *The process was fairly quick. *Luis *good selection of inventory *willing to negotiate Cons: *seemed indifferent about the customer *Didn't seem to want to go above and beyond with customer interaction and experience. This place is NOT about customer service. I bought a 2017 Jag from them in October 2025 and there were some cosmetic issues with the car. An 8in Crack on the front windshield, the gas tank door wasn't working so you needed to use a debit card or flat head screw driver to open it to get gas, and the cover to the spare tire was missing the handle. There were other issues but nothing to major. I was told by SAM that these things would get fixed along with a detailed wash because the car was dirty inside and out. As if the car was sold dirty and just put on the lot like that. SAM also told me I was receiving a FREE 3-year warranty. I even went over the full sale price and asked SAM why was the taxes and fees so high (a little over 8K) and he said that was the dealership fees and other fees. Not once did he mention the 3K cost for the warranty. When the rep from the bank called to set me up for payments, he told me about the warranty and said the dealership charged me for it. Seriously?? As for the repairs, I had to basically harass them for 2 weeks to find out what's going on. I guess they got tired of me and finally told me to drop my car off on 10.31.25. I finally got to get it back on 11.7.25 and when I walked in, EVERYONE was nose deep in their phones. Maria finally noticed me and walked me to my car. After I connected my baby's base in the car and loaded my stuff in the car I checked the work out and the door to the spare tire wasn't even changed, and the car wasn't even detailed. The only thing done was the gas tank door. Why was my car there for almost a week and damn near nothing done?? I had to go back in and and see what was going on and AGAIN everyone was nose deep in their phone. That place could be in the middle of a robbery and the staff wouldn't even notice. They did have the cover to the spare tire, they just never replaced it for some reason. Today in the morning I go to the car and I see the crack is still on the front windshield. I didn't notice it last night because it was dark when I picked the car up. This place damn near scammed me out an extra 3K for some warranty I never asked for and they couldn't bother to fix the crack and detail the car. Once they get your money they don't care to acknowledge you nor the promises they tell you. I will give an extra star for Luis. He communicated the updates with me and got me a rental and apologized for the door to the spare tire not being ready. I personally wouldn't recommend this dealership, but if you go to them, ask for Luis. Definitely avoid lying Sam and ask for the breakdown of the cost. read more

Let start off my saying my original review was only done because Luis asked us to leave a review as we were signing paperwork and I felt a little pressured to do it right then and there. My experience with them has been nothing but horrible. I purchased a vehicle from them on a November 2025 and with 30 days of me purchasing the check engine light came on, I took it to Lexus because I was sold a warranty that I was told would cover everything. Once the car was diagnosed and claims put to warranty it turned out the warranty didn't cover anything because I was sold the most basic option. Keep in mind I was not offered different options. We went back to Unique to try to have them cover the cost of repairs at Lexus or unwind the sale. They refused, after sitting in their offices for 3+ hours refusing to leave until they did something about it. They offered to have their preferred repair shop do the work. We came to an agreement on which repairs needed to be done, because according to Lexus these damages were not done in 30 days they were pre-existing before the sale and were not disclosed. Unique had the vehicle for 2 weeks while repairs were done, once car was ready we picked it up and drove it off the lot. After driving it 30 miles the engine car turned off and lost all power on the freeway. When we contact Sam (the manager) regarding this issue he gave me a bullshit answer of "we only did repairs as a courtesy" and it was all on me. Mind you I'm a paying customer we aren't asking for a handout. All we wanted was a working car we purchased not problem after problem. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM, they have no integrity and are only looking to make a sale. read more

They had to do a few things to my vehicle like changing the door panel and fixing a shock after I gave the money they didn't wanna let me test drive it because they told me when I gave him the money that if I didn't like the vehicle then I could return it and get all my money back within a time limit as I was waiting for my vehicle they were taking forever to give me my vehicle that I already had gave more than half for then when I told them hey I'm gonna check out the vehicle and if every thing is OK then I'm gonna get it but if there's something wrong, I'm gonna get all my money back. They switched up and lied to me and said no me and that guy Luis argued in the office because he lied to my face and denied all allegations so do not give any money upfront. Don't even go to this place the first day I meant Luis I told him about that I was interested in a warranty. He told me that they have warranty extended warranty to be exact and that a woman got a vehicle and after a few months, her motor blue and he said it's because she didn't put oil let me tell you people I should've known from that moment to walk away. All vehicles should be maintenance before they leave for a woman to have a vehicle for a few months and a motor blow and on top of that the warranty didn't even cover the car and that's what Luis told me do not trust Luis do not get your car right here last but not least the vehicle that I got is now having transmission problems, and the bottom bumper in the front was peeling 2 to 3 weeks after I took it home. It was for sure in an accident that Luis couldn't tell me what but just told me that it wasn't a serious accident. They did a horrible paint job a cheap paint job to the front bumper. I'm always on my oil changes, tuneups everything on my car and for me to have transmission problems only after 4000 miles used people don't be stupid. Do not go here. Yes but not least they will make you at the very end of your purchase. Do a Yelp before you leave the property so you can leave a good review. Do not do it. I was at least smart enough to not do a review just yet that's how all these people are getting screwed over. That's why we're all being tricked. read more
