    CARBONARA AND E PEPE
    Sarah C.

Stopped in here for lunch today! It was amazing! The carbonara was absolutely amazing! We had lasagna also great as well as Spaghetti con pachino e burrata, and Tonnarelli cacio e Pepe . Everything was great and it a perfect spot to people watch at the Pantheon. The service was great! Definitely recommend.

For breakfast (coffee and pastries) is fine. For anything else, I don't think so. The pricing of the food options is very high, most likely due to its proximity to the Pantheon in Rome. The service is average with the staff serving quickly but with a non friendly attitude. We asked for a table outdoor and the experience was good since we got to see the Pantheon while having a morning coffee. So, I guess that the ambiance is ok.

We weren't sure if we should stop by because of the reviews on here, but we decided to go anyway for the "cute views". We were pleasantly surprised when the service, the food, the ambiance and the entire experience was so good.

Where do I begin? The view of the Pantheon while you are eating, is simply amazing! The staff and the service is really great! The food is awesome! I highly recommend this restaurant on your visit to Rome! Be sure to eat outside to enjoy the view of the Pantheon!

Came for breakfast bacon is amazing! Eggs are delicious and taste fresh! The view of the pantheon is amazing! Our waiter was so kind and friendly. Helped us choose from the menu. Did not make us feel like tourists even though we are. Very nice I would definitely come again. The tiramisu was moist and delicious! I hate a dry pastry! We got here about 8am and it was pretty empty which is nice.

Incredible!!!! Peter took amazing care of us, the best service we had in Rome. I will be dreaming about the truffle pasta for a long time... I ate so slow because I didn't want it to end. We stayed for a few hours, eating, drinking, enjoying. A must in Rome!!!

We came here as our second to last stop on a 5 course food tour and were all really surprised to go to a spot that was right in the square with the Pantheon. Rule 1 of touristing: don't eat where the sites are. However, this place was super bomb, as were all the places on our tour. I had the carbonara, which was not my favorite type of pasta I found out, but pasta was very well done and the service was stellar. The amatriciana was SUPER GOOD. Two people in our party had it. If I had known better, I would have gotten that. Our waiter was super funny and friendly. Great time eating there. And they have wifi in house.

Great food and great service! I got the note chocolate with dessert. Just something light for the night and loved it! I need to find a way to replicate the hot chocolate lol. Thick and sweet...definitely y not like American hot chocolate. Will definitely be coming back tomorrow for dinner!

    Lemon cake was excellent.

What a view of the Pantheon! Nothing can beat it. Food is excellent too. The lemon cake was delicious and stracciatella gelato - excellent. Cappuccino paired with these was awesome. We came here after visiting Rome all day; great stop for a treat at the end of the night. We thought we'd wait a while to be seated, but this wasn't the case at 6:30 in the evening. Definitely stop by here and take in the views along with the local food.

An excellent place for late night cappuccino or desert. I love the staffs kindness to visitors and making you feel appreciated for visiting. Great food and drinks. One of the best plazas for views. I have listed a lot if high reviews on this trip but I loved this place more for the people, service and location combined.

This is a great location just outside of the Pantheon. Over priced but sitting in the patio with a view of a large fountain and the Pantheon is relaxing. The misters were welcomed though on a hot day in July. Service was rude - the waiter told us we needed to hurry with our order because he was very busy. We kindly suggested he return when he was less busy because we were just enjoying the scenery while sitting in the shade. He then snorted that each of us had to order something though only 3 of the 7 of us knew what we wanted. Ride service aside, we enjoyed the frozen coffee (like a sweet slush) and the cold coffee was refreshing too.

The best thing about Di Rienzo is the view, as it's located right in front of the Pantheon. It's a nice place to sit outdoors and look at this incredible structure. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the restaurant. The service wasn't good and at most times the server was non-existent. I had the Pizza Margherita, and although it was good, I had better in Italy. My wife had one of their pasta dish with chicken and didn't like it at all. Point of advice: Don't get suckered into eating at any of the restaurants in the square in front of the Pantheon. They're all tourist traps. There are many other much better restaurants just a few blocks away.

We wandered in here before dinner in the Trastevere area of Rome looking for a high end cocktail. This place does not disappoint. The decor reminds me of Mardi Gras meets Prohibition... the cocktail menu is unique and the mixologist is simply outstanding. You do need to fill out a slip to "become a member" before they offer you a drink and take your order. While it looks a bit mysterious from the street, this sophisticated tiny cocktail bar is quite something. Definitely a nice place to sip on an elegant mixed adult beverage.

They are a very small bar, so if you have a large party of 4+, I would suggest to make a reservation ahead of time. Their decoration is a mix of Alice in Wonderland with Italian hipster vibe. Everything feels super cool and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The cocktails are delicious and the bartender's english is pretty good, so if you are looking for recommendations he can help you. Another thing that I really like about this place is that people don't smoke inside. There are other speakeasies around town that allow smoking, and I honestly can't be there more than 1 hour. What a cool and chic cocktail bar!…read more My husband and I visited Peaky Blinders kind of by mistake. We were on our way to Jerry Thomas Speakeasy and turned into the wrong street and saw their bright red door. We didn't stop here at first and went on our way to Jerry Thomas. Like always, JT was packed and they said they probably wouldn't have any openings until 1am (it was 9pm). We decided to go back and check out that cute little bar with the bright red door and were quickly welcomed by the owner and staff. This bar is inspired by the show Peaky Blinders and they have a lot of decor that goes in connection to the show. At the time of ordering our drinks, they told us that they didn't have a lot of the ingredients for most of the cocktails in the menu because they couldn't find fresh ingredients in the market and they are very particular as to what they serve to their customers. The owner quickly asked us what we were in the mood for and that he would prepare something unique just for us. I asked him for something fresh, but not too sweet with gin or vodka. He delivered exactly what I asked him and it was the most delicious drinks ever! I was honestly inspired by how passionate he was about the produce he was using in his cocktails, and how much love and dedication he had for serving the best of the best.

We had an old fashioned, a Daiquiri, and an English Rose (sweet, complex) on the first day, all of which were perfect. I spent 2 or more hours sitting and talking at a comfortable volume, listening to chill music. Lorenzo was our bartender for most of our trip (but we also just met Igino, who is also a great bartender!!), and every drink he made us was exactly what we wanted. On our second day, we had the Manhattan, Lorenzo's version of the English Rose, and a Moscow Mule. Then a new drink with cranberry and almond, another Lorenzo English Rose (because my cousin tasted it and loved it), and another Old Fashioned. Igino also made us some amazing drinks based on what we liked about our other drinks, and made us feel so welcome. Not only are the bartenders, drinks, music, and atmosphere amazing here, but the people who come here and chat with you are also super chill and friendly. You can tell that people who come to this bar are familiar with this place and love it as much as we already do. As cool as some of the bars in this city are, this one is one you can feel at home in. Definitely stop by, because you won't regret it, and you'll probably find yourself coming back as many days as you're here.

You have to make a reservation, as this is a private club. How intriguing! The club opens at 9:00 PM and closes at 4:00 AM. So, we made a reservation for a Sunday evening. It is located down a dimly lit street off the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II - adding more to the intrigue. There is really no signage except on the door there is a brass plaque that says "Prof. Jerry Thomas." You ring the bell, the door is answered, you give your name and the password (Yes, there is a password to get in), and you are admitted to the club. There is a €5 per person annual membership fee. We were warmly greeted by Roberto and seated at a comfortable table. This speakeasy held about 25 people, with two bartenders mixing drinks. Euro and Roberto saw to our every need and were excellent! When my husband asked if they had rye whisky on the bar, Roberto suggested he go to the bar and look. They had probably 14 different bottles of rye, but none from Maryland. When he asked for a rye Manhattan, Roberto brought over a bottle of their "house" rye, which was made especially for them. After he mentioned that if his Manhattan was made using their house rye, the cost would be €40. My husband quickly declined and opted for a regular rye Manhattan for €15! I am not much of drinker, so they made me an Amaretto. Both were served on the rocks, except this time, each had one huge ice cube - we had never seen such large cubes before. We both thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Speakeasy and told Roberto we would be back again. It was such an interesting, fun and enjoyable concept.
