Got the recommendation to eat here by our hotel concierge. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and they had a table ready for us. Our server was awesome, super friendly and funny guy. The food lived up to the hype. I got the bruschetta, which was delicious and marinated so well. It was some of the best I've had. I ordered the penne alla vodka without the bacon, and again I loved it! Some of the best sauce I've had. My bf got the penna pescatore and loved it. The give a good amount of seafood! Ambience was awesome, we ended up coming back 2 more times. Second time we went I ordered the same thing and my bf got the arabiatta- delicious! It had the perfect kick to it, I do think it could use a little more garlic, but I'd order it over and over again. All of the servers are fantastic, no matter what time you go. This was our favorite restaurant in Rome and had the best food out of the 5 days. Service was great. Waiters entertained. They were very accommodating for my daughter's food allergies. She said it was the best cacio ever Pepe she had while in Rome. I had a lemon cream pasta with prawns. House wine was also delicious and had the option by the glass versus the bottle. The decor and Ambiance made it casual to fine dining. We will be back the next time we are in Rome. read more

The food was decent and the servers were nice but there were things added on our bill that we did not order, which is a known thing to do to tourists, so just keep an eye out for that. They removed it when I brought it up. The bathroom was also gross but just needed some TLC. read more

It was an unexpected experience. When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. The staff were pleasant and explained the menu well. We enjoyed a Pizza and some Lambrusco. The evening then really kicked off. We joined the staff into singing and dancing right there in the Resturant. The staff sang and made the entire group of people their feel like family. Incredible service, Sergio and Simone were ready to greet me and helped me find a great beer- Birra Moretti right away, suggested another bar down the street with live music, and made me feel welcome right away. This is one of the best restaurant in the neighborhood of the Spanish Steps in Rome. Delicious food, great wines and, more so, the friendliest service and staff. We ate here several times in 2022 and returned again in 2024 and was not disappointed. Looking forward to dining there again when we next visit Rome. read more

Stopped by to get some desserts tonight. Got 4 desserts total and all were bad. Not sure if they make them there or they are just store bought and brought there. Tiramisu was exactly the same as we tried in a different part of Italy. Cheesecake was just awful, it had sugar that was not completely dissolved in the cream... Threw it away:( And they charge 8 euros per dessert. The restaurant was empty, even though it was 6-7 pm, zero tables taken. Do not recommend and will not be back. read more

We stopped in, had just been casually walking in the area. Staff were extremely friendly, and accommodating! We had spaghetti puttanesca and pescatora. Both were very delicious and we enjoyed the meal very much. We will definitely visit again before we leave. Just a short walk from our hotel. They had many vegetarian options which I liked. What a pleasant surprise! My wife and I were told about this place by some friends who live in Rome (we live in a village about an hour and a half away). I am a retired American and lived in New York City where there are thousands of great restaurants, many of which I have been to. So they thought I would appreciate it. We have been there twice in the past few weeks and can't say enough about the food, the staff, the atmosphere, the wine list, etc. This is a true fine restaurant. Alta cucina as they say in Italy. Not a trattoria or osteria that are the norm in Italy. The first time we went we ordered a la carte. There are so many fantastic appetizers, first and second courses and desserts that it is really hard to choose. But choose we did and everything was just delicious. Really the best meal I have had in Italy in 12 years of living here. And at a very reasonable price. The second time we came we opted for the prix fixe menus. They have two, one with meat and one with fish dishes. You can have 4, 7 or 9 courses. We chose the 7 course option. I had the meat and my wife the fish. What a rare treat. And the next best meal I have had in Italy. The price is 70 euros for the 7 courses. In NYC you would be talking about $200-$250 at least. What a bargain. And they pair wine with them if you wish. Speaking of wine, the list is terrific with great selections from around Italy. Reds, whites, roses and sparkling options. An unusual thing for an Italian restaurant are offerings from other countries. Mostly French. In talking to Andrea, the young owner of Artesfizio, they also have lunch specials and will be offering a theater special for those attending the Sistina Theater right across the street. Finally, I would just like to say how welcoming and professional the staff is. One in particular lived in NYC for many years and speaks perfect English for those of you not fluent in Italian (that would include me). One final note is that in doing research before going I came across some reviews that were not all that high. I asked about them and found out that while the restaurant and name are the same as before, the ownership and the menu are new. Open for about two months. Completely different restaurant. As the recent 5 star reviews reflect. Give it a try and enjoy. read more
