If you're looking for a nightlife bar, this place is for you. Looks like a lot of young folks goes here. I got a Midori sour and it tasted more like Midori soda but whatever lol. Here for the vibes and good company with my new friends that I met on this tour. Service was very lively and fast. They even have outdoor seating so we can enjoy the fresh air and actually be able to hear people around you talk. I would recommend checking this place out if you're in Rome. read more

Everything about this Rome eatery, pub, bar says 'We've never met strange'. The staff is funny and accommodating. The underground bar/dance club is a marvel almost like a moshpit on Fri/Sat night. Be aware, there is no cell service in the dance club. The food is simple and works to feed the need. Parking is ROME. Wear your comfort shoes becasue you may have to foot it a few blocks. Located in The Yellow Square as part of The Yellow Hostel group, it's a bar where both hostel residents and locals visit throughout the day. Here are some of the positives and negatives about this bar that I've noticed. Positives: - Open 24h: This is great because you can grab food and drinks as early as 7 am until 11 pm - Close by: It right across The Yellow Hostel - Language: It doesn't matter if you only speak italian or english the people there can understand you well. - Quick: Their food service is quite fast so you don't have to wait too long for your food. - Discount: If you are staying at the hostel, you are eligible for 10-20% discount for foods and drinks based on the time of the day. - Outdoor seating: available all the time (unsure during winter months) - Party: Every night after 10 pm, this place turns to a great hang out place with music and dancing. Negative: - Pricey: Compared to the quality and quantity for their food/drinks, their prices are quite more expensive than other local restaurants despite the hostel discount. - Food quality: the quality is average and its mostly geared towards tourists, especially Americans. - Small: This bar is big enough for eating but small for when it turns to party zone. If you are late in the evening it might be difficult to find a good spot to enjoy your drinks. - "Club": there is an "underground club" open after 1pm (??) free for hostel residents. It really cozy as it is very small and you are next to the Dj booth. You decide if it's for you. read more

BEST BAR! BEST BARTENDERS!! BEST DRINKS!! We had such a fun time here we came several nights during our stay. Mel makes the best drinks! She recommended the "Southside Royale" but the drink should really be called the Mel Royale because she makes it best!! Not only does she whip up the best drinks, she is the sweetest person and one of the most fun bartenders ever!! we had so much fun and Mel and the rest of the staff made the bar/restaurant amazing!! Great place if you're visiting Rome. Full of young people staying at the hostel and other hostels near by. Really good atmosphere and live music every night. The drinks are a little pricey but the bartenders are generous with their pours. There is a club downstairs that gets packed at around midnight, when they close the outside. Wasn't sure of this place because there were hardly any photos, but turned out to be one of the funnest nights in Rome. I think the hostel next door brought a lot of international people but we also met many that weren't staying next door . Bartenders were super fun and friendly and the place was packed on a Thursday ! Definitely coming back!!! read more

The Yellow Bar was next to our hotel and we had a great time here. We enjoyed getting coffee and breakfast in the morning and a few drinks after touring Rome in the evening. My friend and I stopped by here while waiting to check into The Yellow Hostel. The place smelled like it hadn't had a deep cleaning in who knows how long. We still decided to grab some food because we didn't know the area too well. I ordered the veggie burger and I have never been so disgusted in my life! There was this brownish green sauce atop the burger that resembled dark pea soup a la The Exorcist. On top of the food being disgusting it took forever! I will never return to this place and do not recommend people going here. A literal waste of 10 euro and a sad first meal in Rome. read more

Came here on a Thursday night and it was poppin'. It's across from a popular Hostel (and presumably run by them, since they share the name), so it's bound to be busy most nights. Pros: -popular -something for everyone, outside seating for chilling and smoking, inside bar for standing and listening to popular (mostly American) club/pop/hip hop music, and an area for a brief dance performance/stage for you to dance on. Downstairs is a dance floor with a club feel, which was also popular. -Popular bar in a sleepy neighborhood at night. Cons -On the pricier side considering its clientele is mostly hostel people, I think a small beer was around €5-6? A pitcher was €20. -They start slowly closing down areas so just because they stay open doesn't mean the outside tables or stage will stay open. -Single bathroom for all, which means you should plan to use it 10-15 min before you actually do. Also, it's a mess as with most bars by the end of the night. Overall I appreciated the place. Mainly I liked that it had good variety of environments for different people. read more

Literally had the best hostel experience staying here!! The rooms were clean the air conditioning was AMAZING!!! I'm really sad my lazy self never made it to the hair salon!! FYI it's closed Sundays! You need to go to the front desk to rent a towel it's only 2 Euros and you get to keep a cool bag!! My light was broken and there was no toilet paper but I'm sure if I told them they would have fixed it, again so lazy!! The bar down stairs is so fun! And the club underneath gets packed and sweaty so Ben prepared! The bar tenders were amazing! They have munchies 24/7 ... getbthose crispy Brie bites with honey they're freaking amazing!!! The WiFi in the second buildings not the best! But whatever, go to sleep!!! All and all I'll be going back to the yellow!! It was awesome!! read more

Cheap drinks for Italy. 5 euros for a vodka with orange juice. Upstairs was a live band and downstairs was a Dj. The downstairs is very small and so was the upstairs. Can hardly walk around in this place. Hard to get a drink too. Get a drink at the downstairs bar if it's too crowded upstairs. Less people know about the downstairs bar or restroom. Very crowded with college kids staying at the hostel so just be prepared to be around them being drunk and loud. Nothing much else to do around this spot so that's pretty much the only choice in the area so beware. This isn't a nightlife spot of the city. Fun bar! They serve breakfast in the morning, but I haven't had a chance to try it. I've only been at night. They'll have live music and DJ sets, some nights they have karaoke, other nights they have games like beer pong. It's a fun atmosphere. Not too big, but there's a basement level. Drinks are about €5, but the bartender was friendly. Very close to several hotels/hostels, so most people who go seem to be foreign and staying in the area (so if you're trying to meet some locals this probably isn't the place for you). read more

I went here because my friend who studied abroad in Florence recommended It. It's safe to say that it was the worst carbonara I've ever had. I left here hungry and devastated that I wasted one of my Italian meals on such trash. It was disgusting. Not to mention the waiter was so rude, I don't think he even listened to a word I said. I was honestly surprised we even got what we ordered because of his lack of attention. Clearly he needs to be on some focus medication. Please don't waste your time at this horrendous restaurant.
