Wanted to get American Breakfast on my last day in Rome. Ended up getting some freshly squeezed OJ (which was super fresh and had a good amount of pulp in it). An American coffee (honestly...tasted like heaven after not having American Coffee in so long). Then I had Avocado toast with lox. The bread was super fresh which was really nice. Service here was really good. We had to pay at the counter.

Wow. I am so impressed with this place! Cheap, fast, and great quality coffee and food. Great if you have some time to kill. Definitely recommend the sandwich, coffee, and orange juice combo.

It was our second time visiting this place while in Rome. We like the coffee and pastry options. First time we did to go as we were headed for a tour. Second time round we sat and ate. Place is cute, clean and friendly staff. It was busy but service was quick. Coffees were yum, Avocado toast and salmon didn't disappoint . Croissants were very Flaky and Donuts were fluffy. We tried the salmon croissant which was different, not bad but wasn't my favorite. This place is very cute fun things decorated inside and has an open concept kitchen. Would definitely be back.

Best service and really yummy freshly squeezed orange juice. I forgot my water bottle and one of the weight staff ran after me to give it to me. They are so nice. Please come here!

A spot that has both great coffee and pastry options in a snug neighborhood cafe. If you are looking for a more leisurely place to enjoy your morning coffee this is not the spot, workers arw frantically handing out coffee and pastries and it's absolute chaos inside. Coffees range from 3-6 euros and the pastries are affordable. Cornettos, croissants, and sandwiches to choose from. Not a lot if any hot food options aside from sandwiches. Wifi and bathroom also inside.

Amazing coffee shop. I had a chance to come here with my friends while visiting and the recommendations were excellent for a nice picker upper. The view is great for the ambiance, street traffic and a lot of movement with people. Service was quick and friendly. We tried the cappuccino, shaken espresso and a doppio.

This place has thousands of reviews on TripAdvisor but not a whole lot on Yelp so I was skeptical. So glad we went! Trecaffe is a small Italian coffee shop with some incredible pastries as well. It was very busy on a Saturday morning but we got a table with no problem. We ordered a regular and large cappuccino that came out within a few minutes. Our pastries were brought by our waiter and wow they looked and tasted the part. The pistachio croissant and donut were incredible. My wife loved her lemon croissant and the cream filled bread which we dont know the name of sadly. Our cappuccinos were also just as good as the others we've had throughout Rome. The shocking thing is how cheap this all was. €12.40 euros so in USD $13.2. That is a steal for such a delicious breakfast with a seat inside. Highly recommend giving Trecaffe a try!

Trecaffe is popular for a reason! Delicious coffee, great breakfast food, and wonderful service - great cafe! I ordered their premium blend cappuccino (only 2.50 euros!) and it was perfect - bold, but smooth. We also ordered their homemade jam pastry that was sweet, but quite tasty. The mozzarella and ham sandwich stole the show, though. The bread was amazing! They were quite busy on Sunday morning, but we were able to get a table outside around 8:30. It got even busier later in the morning. The staff were fast and efficient. I was impressed at how well they juggled the busy morning. I'd definitely recommend Trecaffe for coffee and a low-key breakfast in Rome. :)

Small place but busy! We grabbed an outside table and ordered at the bar. You pay first then give your receipt to the barista to make your order. Three cappuccino's were $13 euro.

Highly recommend the Daniele Meini (La mozzarella e i formaggi) where they have amazing salads, pastas, and sandwiches. Got a mixed salad (insalata mista) with prosciutto and Burrata which was Buonissimo! It came with tomatoes, fresh olives, and a packet of olive oil to add to your liking. They also asked me if I wanted balsamic on top, which was an excellent touch. They also have a pecorino Romano cheese wheel that they will use to cook your pasta in. Don't just take my word for it, upon check out, our hotel staff highly recommended checking in a little early to our train so there's time to check out the Mercado Céntrale!

I was disappointed with the bread and cookies we purchased. It's difficult to do everything well. Perhaps narrowing on one specialty is best, but I'm old school. I miss the days of the fruit store, the formaggi shop, the wine merchant, etc. Everyone was lovely at Il Gianfornaio, and reminded me of how my American education was lacking. I can only speak English and a smattering of French. The merchants at Il Gianfornaio spoke English better than me. That was embarrassing.

He said, when you are in Rome, you HAVE to go to Osteria del Pegno. One of the best meals he had in Italy. He was right! What a fantastic meal. Good thing we did because they were busy from 7pm-9pm when we left. We were able to sit outside and the owner and his team were friendly and very accommodating. Their pastas are absolutely delicious - particularly the pesto and truffle pastas. I remembered their pastas being the best I've ever had and have talked about it often throughout the years. Our visit back yesterday didn't disappoint. Additionally, we also enjoyed their cheeseboard with 3 different delicious cheeses and a wonderful tiramisu dessert. We are returning again before we depart Italy because we love it so much. We brought our kids here this time and it was a highlight for them as well.
