Tagliatelle Alla Norma
Christina K.

So delicious! My friend had this on her list to try and we didn't get in on Saturday night, but made a reservation for the next day. We came in Sunday and the food was delicious. I had a strawberry salad with oranges, which was fresh and tasty. I also had house made tagliatelle alla norma, which was a great texture. I decided I'm not a huge fan of the ricotta salata so I wouldn't continue to order this, but it was very well done. We were also offered watermelon at the end of our meal. Food was very delicious and there were so many things I wanted to get so I would have loved to have been able to eat there again.

Found this place through a random blog about eating in Rome by someone who lived here for two years. Tried to get reservations the day if for a party of 3 and they were sold out. Asked about the next night (Saturday) and they were able to accommodate us. Took an Uber from our hotel who got lost in the process and had to drop us 3 blocks away. Lots of pedestrian only streets around there go figure. Got in at 7, the waiter who spoke English sat us. Then we started noticing locals coming in and having dinner as well. We must have been the only Americans in the place. No worries the menus are in both Italian and English. They brought us hand made bread with some mozzarella + jalapeño cakes of some kid that were still hot and steamy. To die for. I ordered house red wine which was the best I've ever had in my entire life. We started with an appetizer of Anchovies. My son ordered the gnocchi, my wife ordered the ravioli ricotta which could be described as tender, silky and exquisite. I ordered the veal escalopes which was a master piece. Then for dessert we got a trio of: Tiramisu Tris di cioccolato Gelato with fruit All there were home made and were omg kill me now I'm in heaven amazing. They gave us a cookie biscuit thing and a complementary lemmonchello for digestion. All told we came out at 98€ In the states this could easily have ran us $300 for the same quality of food and experience. I'm super glad this restaurant isn't listed on the tour guides or any popular tourist blogs. I'm also super glad that we waited until our final night in Rome to have this amazing experience. I'll have to book another trip just to stop in and have dinner here before flying back to Seattle. It's that amazing that I would travel just for dinner.

My friend and I had dinner here our last night in Rome and what a great way to end our time in the city! I made a reservation through Facebook for a weekday night about two days in advance. It is a romantic, elegant atmosphere where locals go so I would recommend dressing up a little nicer and brushing up on Italian dining etiquette (aka we wish we weren't in shorts and had known the bread wasn't to eat beforehand). I ordered the gnocchi and it was the best I had in Italy. The host also gave us complimentary limoncello, which truly rounded out an incredible dining experience. If I find myself in Rome again, you can find me here.

Everyone needs a trip to Italy, if nothing more than to enjoy all of the food…read more When you've landed, you're hungry, and it's not lunch time, and it's not dinner time, you may end up, selling for whatever you can find is open We were absolutely starving, and wanting to indulge in our first Italian meal, what do you do when you're in Italy?! You may want to indulge in pasta or pizza! We walked in, and we were immediately seated. Air conditioning is nonexistent, and on a hot summer day, it would've been cooler to dine outside. had that been an option, and it was 95° out. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately told that Pizza and some of their baked Italian dishes were not going to be available. Boo. The wait staff seemed fairly nice, and offered to bring us glasses of water. The glasses were super tiny, and thankfully the waitress brought over a carafe of water. We asked for a few suggestions, since both of us had been craving pizza, and she suggested the Carbonara. She said it was one of the best dishes. While we were waiting for our food, several other tables were immediately filled up with other customers, families and friends alike. It was interesting that those tables were served pizza... I'll just leave it at that. The carbonara Was anything less than delicious. We both found the pasta to be barely cooked. Not al dente, but barely cooked. The seasoning was mediocre, and there was very little pork, which is supposed to be the highlight of this dish, in this dish. Diners tip: if you are not a local, keep in mind that your version of Customer Service may or may not fit what Customer Service is in Rome. Despite being hungry, I had a hard time, finishing the food, let alone actually eating it. The waitress only came over at the end to drop off the check, and when she noticed that I had barely eaten anything, first gave me a strange look, and then asked about it. It was definitely one of those situations where saying something was wrong would've been met with unwanted attention. This is in a place to add to your must try list... There are plenty of other places, even in and around this area that more than likely would be a better choice.

Bufala pizza with red sauce and lasagna was excellent. Seating was fast and good serviceread more
