    Nutella Gelato

Nutella gelato at Cafe Roma The gelato was great don't get me wrong BUT the service was not the best honestly tried to get their attention many times they didn't care to want to help and on top of that it is such a small place but everyone gets in everyone's way because there isn't space and they don't care to fix that issue we went in their 3 times get water from the front and to see if it would be different then our first experience and it was always the same way, definitely can't go in there and sit it's so difficult.

This caffe is located next to the colosseum. The view worth 4 stars! I was sitting outside, and ordered a ginseng coffee and cannoli. The coffee is small like the size of an espresso. The cannoli were too sweet for me. I will come back for the view, but not the food. Service was decent. Price was reasonable given the nice scenery.

Caffe Roma is right across the Colosseum. Perfect spot. We were able to get a table quickly. I had the lasagna which was amazing. The lemonade was not to my liking; not sweet at all. I just ordered a bottle water since I was going walking on my tour after lunch. Great option to dine if you're in the area.

Prosciutto and mozzarella platter was ok. Better than the panini and bagel sandwich

This place has so much potential. Your view is the colloseum. In the states this place would be run so differently. Here you can sit outside in one of the limited outdoor tables with the amazing view and sit there for hours with a cup of cappuccino. It's amazing they don't try to rush people out. The food was ok. We had sandwiches and an appetizer dish. The food is really a 2/5, drinks 3/5, service 4/5 and scene 5/5. I don't think that comes to 4/5 but I don't think it deserves the average rating it sits at today on Yelp. The view from the outdoor seating is priceless and worth a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Don't be fooled by the great location. Staff is friendly but service is a bit slow. Coffee/drinks were fine but I do not recommend this place for food whatsoever. Eat at your own risk. See picture for reference

Stopped in for coffee and I noticed the cold coffee was 1€ cheaper than the cafe Americano. Being an iced coffee lover I opted for the cold coffee. It took about 5 minutes for him to make this and then he asked do you want it shaken? So I said sure. .50€ more for him to put it in a shaker and giggle around for 10 seconds. Okay then. Needless to say it was a good "cold and shaken" coffee but I'd never go back here.

We had just finished a 4 hr train ride and were HUNGRY. The entrance is outside the station, but a quick walk. Once you are inside, it's overwhelmingly filled with food galore. Everywhere you look there's an option for desserts, coffee, alcohol, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, meats, American food, Japanese food, and many other Italian specialties. Some tough decisions to be made here. So depending on your appetite, have fun! The piadina wrap came with ham, cheese, greens, tomatoes, and truffle cream. Sounds basic but that truffle cream gave it an edge and the wrap was loaded. The meatballs were so so good! Like rich fatty goodness. The meatball itself was juicy and that tomato sauce was thick and beefy. The braised beef was tender and paired with the salted potatoes and salad it was a well balanced plate. This was our first food stop in Rome and it only got better in the days to come. Great welcome to Rome meal!

I was disappointed with the bread and cookies we purchased. It's difficult to do everything well. Perhaps narrowing on one specialty is best, but I'm old school. I miss the days of the fruit store, the formaggi shop, the wine merchant, etc. Everyone was lovely at Il Gianfornaio, and reminded me of how my American education was lacking. I can only speak English and a smattering of French. The merchants at Il Gianfornaio spoke English better than me. That was embarrassing.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Piazza, Osteria del Pegno offers a quaint, romantic, authentic Italian experience. Their pastas are absolutely delicious - particularly the pesto and truffle pastas. I remembered their pastas being the best I've ever had and have talked about it often throughout the years. Our visit back yesterday didn't disappoint. Additionally, we also enjoyed their cheeseboard with 3 different delicious cheeses and a wonderful tiramisu dessert. We are returning again before we depart Italy because we love it so much. We brought our kids here this time and it was a highlight for them as well. We highly recommend you come to Osteria del Pegno if you enjoy authentic Italian pasta and want a quiet, charming dining experience.
