I'll start off saying I'm a bit biased... I hate DHL. I buy lots of stuff online from a lot of different countries/places. I receive packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx, and occasionally DHL. Every transaction I've ever had with DHL was a problem. My recent transaction with no exception. DHL was supposed to deliver it to my house and LIED stating that I was not home and that no one answered the door. Oddly enough, my Ring camera proves that no one actually came to the door. Thanks DHL. This was a package I had to sign for and I was part of a wedding the next two days so this was the only chance I could sign for the package in a convenient amount of time. Thankfully... There was an option to have the package shipped to aDHL Express. Oddly enough, the closest DHL Express is almost 20 miles away from my home. The package arrived quickly at the pick up location and I actually got really nice service at the pick up location. But, It's a trailer in the middle of a parking lot... Wow. Thankfully, the package arrived safe and is in my hands... But, like usual DHL you made this interaction harder than it needed to be. read more

We are having a horrible time dealing with DHL. Our package is being shipped from Mexico to Florida. We've received a text message stating that the package was going to be delivered yesterday and we want to sign for it. Never showed. Last night we got another text saying it was in Customs, then conflicting information about status. The online help line requires a credit card to get any information...what the heck! packages are never properly delivered and are always late. there have been multiple occasions where I have ordered a package and receive a text that says "We tried to deliver DHL Express today but no one was home. Arrange redelivery" though I was home when the truck came, no one rang the doorbell, no one called, no one knocked, and I had provided the option to leave the package without needing a signature. Definitely not impressed. Rescheduled a delivery as my business was closed on the set day for delivery. It was "delivered" on the original date (even though I received email confirmation of new delivery date.) Delivered to mailbox (wouldn't fit in my wall slot if you tried) without a signature. Now every day the follow up is....give us til tomorrow 5pm AZ time to get back to you....over a week. Searching where 3rd party delivered and trying to track it - though it is gps'd so what gives? I ordered an item from South Africa. needless to say I paid $65 dollars for a small package to be shipped. I package leave Africa, go to France, Belgium, clear customs in Miami and then "out for delivery " in anticipation I sat on my balcony and waited for it while drinking coffee. At 11:30 am I received a update stating package delivered. PROBLEM: 1. I DID NOT RECEIVE PACKAGE! 2. It was impossible to receive package without my knowledge, because balcony overlooks front door and drive. 3. I received no proof of delivery (AKA: a phone photo of package in front of door. 4. The product that I ordered got to the destination before the quoted time. I downloaded the tracking shipment app and the location was down for a couple of days but then became accurate very fast. I emailed them and they reassured me of the process it would take considering it was a custom product as well as with shipping from country to country. read more

I definitely had some frustration with my package delivery with DHL. The good news is that my package actually reached Tampa from far away fairly quickly. Actually getting my package was the hangup. My package had a signature requirement. The DHL website said if you signed up for an account you could do a signature release, but I couldn't find that after my account was created. When you create an account at a shipping company it's pretty important because you have the power to redirect your potentially very expensive or important packages somewhere else. UPS makes you answer questions that only you should know, such as information about former addresses or cars. Obviously this is nowhere near foolproof but at least it's something. With DHL all I had to do to "prove" my identity and create an account was provide my home address. Then without providing the shipping number I was presented with the option to redirect my shipment. This just seems like a painfully unsecure system that is open to abuse. Since I couldn't find how to remove the signature requirement I had to call customer support. She said my only option was to wait at home until possibly 8PM until the package showed up or have it held at one of their locations. I decided to have it held. She stressed multiple times that I should not go in person until I got a notification that the package was ready. The email I was sent when I decided to have my package held also said "We will notify you when the shipment is ready for collection." I never received any other notification. After my package had been at the Tampa location for over 24 hours I finally just gave up waiting for the notification and went and got my package. DHL seems like a fast shipper but they could definitely improve their systems. read more

DHL has horrible customer service representatives my package arrived in tampa 6 days ahead of time. they "attempted" delivery but because there was no one home to sign for it..they didn't leave it. WHICH i did requested i don't need a signature release BEFOREHAND. the last 4 days i have been trying to get these people to bring me my package and they are just giving me the run around everyday it's going "out for delivery" and everyday it does not get delivered. they just keep adding another day to the estimated delivery time (screenshot shows the 22nd AND the 24th.. it is now the 26th and still no package or update) no one is trying to help and they are super annoyed when i ask about it even though it's just sitting in their warehouse. freaking ridiculous i shouldn't have to hound a delivery service for FOUR days to deliver my package. i now have to drive to tampa monday morning to see if i can pick up my package as i don't believe they will actually bring it to me at all. read more

I've shipped so many things internationally, but I've never had such a frustrating experience as I did here. First, there's no other locations for you to drop off packages besides far east middle of nowhere Tampa past the fairgrounds. Apparently they used to partner with UPS but not anymore. Second, they rip open all of your packages and make photocopies of your return labels, even your store receipts. I found it all to be very intrusive. Then when I asked for a receipt for tracking the package, she told me to go online and had me take photos of the shipping label. Plus let's not forget the 30 minutes I waited before my turn. I have used DHL for years. I receive packages at least 2x month. The service was great, the driver was amazing. However, during the past two weeks, the driver changed, the one I have now is very unreliable. Packages might take a day or two after the already announced delivery date. I have even received notifications indicating that I'm not home while having the package delivered! I asked the driver and was told "well, I'm here so...". Not really very customer service oriented. I'm sure that it's a stressful job, having to deliver many packages and deal with lots of people but the way that this driver deals with situations isn't too great read more

I need what I ordered for this weekend and for two days DHL has told me my address is incorrect when I get packages through them all the time. I live down a longer (perfectly) drivable private road and I think they've just hired lazy drivers that don't want to do their job. I'm livid and their urgency to "help" sucks. Delivery service is awesome and prompt however the customer service rep whom identified herself as Arimada (around 1:10pm) was VERY passive aggressive and rushed me during the call as well thee conversation appeared to be a disagreement and argument and not her provided me with help. Ive been utilizing dhl for about 2 months and the zip code was incorrect ,the gentleman i spoke with updated thee information and there was no issues with my delivery. The rep on today didnt ask,inform or provide me with updates or options she just changed my order information. Requested to havea supervisor call me back i have yet to received a call back .
