The technician spent 1.5 hours (by his own admission), but billed for 2.25 hours because (the fine print on the invoice revealed) we were charged for his travel time from his previous job to our location. We were also charged a dispatch fee. Neither the dispatch fee nor the travel charge were disclosed when we booked the appointment. This resulted in about $167.00 padding on an already hefty bill. The client, my mother, is a frail senior on a fixed income. Bilking seniors is not a good look, A-1. Oh, and showing up to a job drenched in cologne (I believe it was patchouli, to which both my mother and I are allergic) is decidedly unprofessional.

It is so great to talk with Dody whenever I call as she gets all set-up and knows the business inside and out! This year the Annual Heating System Tune-up was completed by Dan R and Anoy G. Thank-You All!

I called Augusta Natural Gas to get a quote to replace our water heater. A technician came out,…read morestood at the door for less than two minutes, confirmed that the water heater needed to be replaced, and left. He took a few pictures and that was it. He told me he would email me a quote. After waiting, I followed up with Augusta Natural Gas twice over the next two weeks because I still had not received anything. With no response, I ultimately went with another company. That company took the time to explain our options, provided a quote, and completed the replacement that same week. Three weeks later, Augusta Natural Gas finally sent me their quote -- which was approximately double what the other company charged. Then, a few weeks after that, I received a $140 bill for "labor" for the technician's less-than-two-minute visit. I called to explain the situation and try to resolve the charge. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was even more disappointing. I was yelled at, accused of lying, and told not to call again. I remained calm and respectful throughout the conversation and ultimately had to hang up. I understand that companies charge for service calls, but charging $140 for a visit that lasted less than two minutes, failing to provide the promised quote for three weeks, and then treating a customer this way when they call with a legitimate concern is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Augusta Natural Gas and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I didn't want to turn anything back on unless it was safe. I called around various places but many were booked or couldn't guarantee service with a minimum $195 troubleshooting fee. Aaron was very courteous, responsive, and professional. He came prepared with a spare thermostat, even though I had already purchased one. His work was professional and he made sure things were installed level. The price for the same day service was very reasonable. $99 service entrance fee + repair time. Would highly recommend this company! They look out for their community and were very kind to fit me in under the circumstances on dhort notice. Very grateful to them today! I've been with Augusta Fuel almost 30 plus years. They have always been a great company to deal…read morewith. They were a much, much smaller company when I started with them. Delivery and service set ups were never a problem etc. Now, I try to order oil online as I do 50% of time and it says service not available and call AFC number. So, the girl proceeds to tell me because I'm not on automatic delivery during cold snap, I can't receive any oil for 4 to 5 weeks out. In December they wouldn't deliver my oil for up to 10 to 14 days because I wasn't low enough.(1/8) of tank??? So, I guess they must have started this conserve process back then. That's what I'm calling anyways. The girl on the phone yesterday tells me 1.) I can go somewhere else till cold snap is over. 2.) can put Kerosene or Diesel in my tank as needed till they can get there. 3.) Or close my account all together and go somewhere else. Which she said some of people were doing. So, I called Linda Ryan to verify and she pretty much in a nutshell said same thing. I asked if there was a shortage of trucks or oil. She said no, just that Automatic delivery people are getting oil first and they want to make sure they are taken care of first. So, I played the "game" called when I was down to a 1/8 of a tank this time so I wouldn't supposedly have to wait 14 days for oil and be told now you have to wait a month or better. WTH? Now I'm going to run out of oil in a week or less until I find a new delivery. Dead River buys them makes them bigger and now they can't deliver when it's cold? They should have a good amount of drivers compared to 30 years when they were a small oil company. If there was such a thing as oil discrimination, I would know what it feels like to be a part of the minority. Very disappointed @NOT VALUED OR NOT AUTOMATIC DELIVERY CUSTOMER!
