Had a plumbing emergency yesterday, and was fortunate to have called Evergreen. Caleb (the…read moreproprietor) returned my call immediately after I had left a VM, and asked me about the nature of the problem (I wasn't sure, so I told him the symptoms and he formed an expert opinion on info provided). He had one of his guys, Gage, come out to see if he could help me. Gage was VERY professional and very much an expert on how to approach the problem. Long story short, my relay tank pump had gone bad. Gage had to find the relay tank (under the frozen, snow covered earth), extract and diagnose the pump, run to supply house to get needed replacement, and replace the pump. The temperature outside when Gage started was around 28 degrees, and it dropped to wind-chill of 8. When the job was nearing completion, Caleb came by to ensure Gage didn't need additional help and that everything was coming together okay. Having a sewer backup into your home is traumatizing and it was the first time this had happened to me. Caleb and Gage were both very empathetic and incredibly professional. I would absolutely 100 percent recommend Evergreen to anyone needing any sort of plumbing work done.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with. We purchased a new Wood burning fireplace, one of their…read moremost expensive, for our home and when they did the site visit, they did not measure correctly which we did not know until months later and construction had proceeded to the point of no return. When the unit arrived, they could not run the chimney under a beam that was always existing and known. It was also, apparently, on the drawing and despite them being a dealer for Regency they had zero understanding of how to install or the requirements for the fireplace. Long story short, I had to figure out the solution and did get it to fit, but Dave threw a grown man tantrum and decided to breach the install contract. In the end, he screwed up, refused to take 2 hours to come to our site and work out some details with the other contractors who were helping to fix their mistake, refused to accept responsibility for his mistake and then refused to refund money for equipment (chimney) that he did not supply. We are currently taking legal action because he will not provide the refund for the chimney despite the emails we have where, he offered to. It is ok because we have actually spent over $50,000 on additional HVAC, fireplaces and other contracts with their competitor Northern Energy Systems, who are real professionals, because they did not want to try to help get the job done. The new company we hired (to complete the installation of the fireplace they couldnt figure out how to install) thru Home Hardware in North Bay, were excellent and were able to solve the Chimney issue with very little extra effort. Dave's Heating just simply took zero time and effort to try and resolve the issue other than offering a refund...which they eventually did not follow thru with and ended up ripping us off $3k. I was also happy to spend extra money on construction changes to make the fireplace work. It boiled down to this entire conflict occurring because Dave would not come to the site, AT MY COST, to meet with the general contractor, to come up with a solution. Dave is a sad excuse for a business owner and an arrogant and selfish human being. I am sure the good reviews are for regular smooth contracts, but be warned, if things do not go his way or there is some situation where they make a mistake, they will rip you off and look out for themselves. I try to give out contracts to local companies being from the North, but this company belongs in the big city. We highly recommend Northern Energy Systems in Mattawa and North Bay Home Hardware instead of this company.

The Company charged over the highest cost on the spectrum and never completed the job. Augusta Natural Gas, "The Company," used multiple dubious business practices by charging to replace a simple sump pump for MORE THAN THE HIGHEST PRICE IN THE STATE, while: 1. Neglecting to first notify the Client, or get authorization from the Client, for the unconventional and egregious hidden fees including: A) Issuing a secretive debit card use penalty for paying the (unfinished) job in full using a debit card. B) Fuel charges. By a local fuel company. To travel 10 minutes. Amounting to $1/minute. 2. Leaving the job undone; rendering the pump useless without having been put into a standard level in the ground, for the pump to work at all: without communicating that the Company's plan has been to try charging the same Client as though the completion of the job is another separate job. This is an unlawful and unacceptable attempt at stealing yet more money from Client. 3. Using extremely cheaply-built parts, kits of which the exact parts that are found at retail box stores and online for far less, and which kits were separated by the company and then charged the parts individually at inflated prices. There is a clear pattern of deception here across the board. Company's worker also left behind the trashed parts that they were here to replace and did nothing to properly clean behind themselves before leaving the job site. 4. For more than 2 months, this Client has left emails and called multiple times only to be lied to directly by the receptionist. Each time she guarantees verbally that "Todd is out of the office..." but that he will call back. No callback has happened for months now; while this Client has lost yet more money from all of the billable time taken from MY business - to get someone here to finalize the job -what should be a simple matter. 5. Severe damage can happen any day to this house and inhabitants if this Company continues to refuse to simply do the right thing and finish the FAR-OVERPRICED job and put the pump into the ground. Otherwise, it's completely useless. 6. False advertising, another serious offense, appears on the front page of the company's website, misleadingly claiming they "provide exceptional service to our clients needs based upon their individualized situations and needs." The evidence above proves the exact opposite is true. 7. This Client and family has been put in harm's way due to blatant greed and negligence by the Company, Augusta Natural Gas. This final request has been emailed on 9.25.24. No reply as of 10.18.24. FORWARD THIS TO ALL Entities which protect consumers from sloppy, predatory, lazy, dangerous business practices like these.
