Our experience with Dewey was nothing but the best, I called in yesterday for service, out route manager was incredibly helpful and eager to start service as early as the next day. Shortly followed by a call from Jed, which called a schedule an appointment for the day after. I have had dewy for probably over 8 years or more and had no issues ...recently they say I have to leave my house for 24hr after they spray inside because I have kids ummm NO unless you are paying for somewhere for us to stay ... before they tell it was so safe you could practically drink it ... so I call to cancel mind you for July they only sprayed the outside so I tell them to take me off auto pay which they say they did and I tell them to charge me half of July since they didn't spray inside ... she says a manger will call me two days later no manger call AND they drafted the payment from my act for July and august !!! Called company for an estimate to get rid of gofers and my husband spoke to person named Luis. He was busy close to closing time about 4pm. Said he would call him by or another technician would call back before 5pm. Never called us back. We called the next day and receptionist stated Luis busy but would give him message to call us back, again no call. We then said forget this company guess they don't need our business. Called Clark Pest Control and they were just as bad. What is it with these pest control companies such. Flakes. We are now waiting for Western Exterminators today, fingers crossed!! read more

I don't think I've ever been so embarrassed FOR a company. I signed up with high hopes and from the start it was a nightmare! I was supposed to be set up on autopay, but it wasn't ever charging my card. I cancelled because the spiders were still VERY much around and the fact that I had to keep calling about the billing was annoying. I was told they would waive the cancellation fee because it really was a bad experience all due to their issues. Fast forward though about a month, I have a Dewey technician at my door wanting to spray! Like what?! I can't get anyone to adjust the charge to my card(because they double charged me for my last payment), but you show up to spray?! It's comical! Had to file a dispute through my credit card company because I keep being told they're going to take care of it, but never do. I will say that everyone I've encountered has been extremely kind though. As far as being nice people A+, they just don't know how to properly do their job. Huge lack of communication. Christopher you could tell loved his job very outgoing and personable. After the inspection Christopher took the time to explain the process and what he was looking for. Just moved in to a new home and received a New Home Inspection Offer from Dewey in the mail. After reading their reviews, I figured I'd give them a call and set up service. I called the office on Friday, July 28th at 11am and the receptionist took down my phone number and general home location and said that the service tech assigned to my area will call me to set up an appointment. The technician called me a couple hours later (around 1:30pm). He went over all of their services and options available to me. I chose the bi-monthly service and stated that I had the new home offer, so he said that me initial service would be free. I said great, let's get it scheduled. He then asked for my address, which I gave him and then asked for my cross streets. I stated 70th West and M-8. He then said that it was not his area and that he wasn't sure if they serviced the area or not. He stated that he needed to figure that out and if they did service the area, that the tech would call me back to schedule. It has now been a week since I have heard from anyone there. Apparently they do not service the area or do not want the business. I am just not sure why they would pay to send New Home Inspection Offers to an area that they do not serve. I am sure that they have good service, I just wish they would have been more up front with me and taken down my actual address when I originally called so I could have moved on and found someone else. read more

Just bought a house and realized with a giant backyard and tons of plants and trees, I needed pest control! So glad that my friend recommended Dewey to me. They really go out of their way to make sure you are happy and they make sure to give your their number in case you need them to re-spray. My tech was very thorough and even lets me have a different day for spraying inside my house, as I have a small dog and need to schedule when to have her away. So far I am happy! read more

I hired Dewey to service my home due to a Springtale infestation. The sales rep was eager to sign a contract. He even came to my home after business hrs to lock me in. When he arrived I tried to show him the pest issue, but he completely ignored me. It was obvious that he nor the tech they assigned to my location was interested in the issue. Before signing the contract I specifically told the rep my major issues/concerns. He wrote them down on the contract and scheduled a tech to come out. The tech came out on the first visit and had NO CLUE what issues to treat. I knew nothing was done due to the multiple wasp nest that wasn't removed. So I called the office to schedule him to come back out. He came back out to not only treat the outside pest issue, but to remove the wasp nest. Once again, that didn't happen. So I called the office once more aggravated that the tech had no clue what to do (which he admitted when he called me). When he called he said he would stop by again to address the issue, and he never showed up. So I called Dewey to cancel services immediately. They told me I would have to pay an early termination fee (which they sent me a bill for $115). Said they gave me a sign on discount. And since I didn't fullfill the contract I must pay it or they will send it to collections. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I tried to resolve things and they didn't deliver. Now I had to pay $115 for services that wasn't even performed? Unbelievable!!! I wold give them NO STARS if I could. read more

We have had Dewey service for a couple of years now and are very satisfied. We switched from another exterminator because Terminix doesn't have a tech local to the area, so scheduling an appointment was nearly impossible. Carlos, our regular tech, is very polite and professional. He always calls ahead of time to establish service appointments, and is always punctual. In addition to doing his job well, he is very friendly and I'm comfortable having in my home. We also just had to have a termite inspection for an upcoming sale. The inspector, Chris Charles, was wonderful -- he explained clearly everything he was looking for, was very thorough in his inspection, and was extremely polite and funny. Deweys pest control was fast and efficient. Spencer Lewis got ahold of me shortly after I left him a message inquiring about getting my house sprayed. He was polite and professional and let me know what specials they were offering and what would be best for my homes needs. He seemed honest and did not try to make me spend a bunch of money. This review is for Anthony, Dewey Pest Control, Branch number 5. From the very first time that I called this office Anthony was polite, responsible, professional and listen very carefully to everything I had to say. Anthony was very gracious, as I explained my Flea issue, yes we do have a flea issue in the AV. He explained everything completely, made an appointment with me promptly. I even called back to ask him to come earlier and he was very gracious and obliged me and came earlier Friday August 31. When he arrived he was prompt, professional introduced himself, listened very closely to what I had to say. And immediately went to work on his inspection. When we came to the conclusion that I do have a flea infestation, he immediately spoke to me about the treatments what chemicals required to do the job. He went over everything very carefully and completely until I understood exactly the plan of treatment. Anthony was not pushy at all, nor did he try to talk me into anything, these gentlemen are professional they're not hardball salesman, they actually care about their clients. After he explained the cost of the job, , He offered me a price reduction if I signed up for a by monthly or tri monthly treatments, he also was treating for all other types of insects in the antelope Valley. After what I just got through I eagerly signed up. I also signed up for their gopher pest control, and I asked them about it, they didn't even push me into that either, when it was clear that I do have a gopher issue. They immediately went to work on the outside perimeter and my garage did an excellent job of spraying all areas, they were eager to work on the inside of my house as well, but I had to make arrangements to board my animals, so We made an appointment on Tuesday September 4, he showed up promptly on time.He sprayed the inside of my house and redid the outside and garage as well. I was giving a complete list of instructions on what to do prior and after the treatments. He constantly takes my phone calls and explain me things to me as we go. Today Friday, September 7 he came out to do another inspection to make sure things were going well, because I had some concerns so he came right out. Anthony re-sprayed the outside of my house and took care of my new gopher problems. Anthony always explains things professionally and put my mind at ease. I would completely recommend Dewey Pest Control branch number five to anyone, Professional, responsible, gracious, friendly, completely above board and honest. I tried to write another review for Carlos, since it won't let me , I will add onto my review for Anthony. Last Friday when Anthony first arrived I had many many many questions, he contacted Carlos and I spoke to Carlos on the phone and he promptly came to my residence. Carlos checked out the situation and concurred with Anthony. Carlos is very professional, courteous, responsible, knowledgeable and very eager to help. When I was on the phone with him he answered all of my questions, at great length to make sure that I understood everything. He helped Anthony with the first treatment on Friday. And both gentleman did an exceptional job on my property. Since Friday I've called the office numerous times and both Anthony and Carlos have always returned my phone calls promptly. Both have reiterated many times that if I have a problem call please call, we don't know you're having a problem unless you call, and we will be out promptly. Carlos came out with Anthony today September 7 to inspect my property, I was immediately put at ease when he identified one of my insects in the house as a spring spider and not a flea. So that being said it looks like they completely took care of my flea infestation. But Carlos kept telling me if there's a problem call us and we will be back right away. You hired us and we take our clients seriously, we will make sure that everything is above board and handled completely. I have nothing but the utmost admiration and appreciation for both Carlos and Anthony, they turned my life which was a living nightmare back into a peaceful existence. The entire time that I have had Dewey pest control it is been terrible! The office does not communicate with the technicians and the technicians do not communicate with the office. both of them are always on separate pages. I called to cancel my service and the lady on the phone took down all of my information and then a day later I get a call from the technician trying to schedule an appointment with me when I told the office lady that my service needed to be canceled. In the very beginning when I first got Dewey pest control service the Technician never came out and there was a whole miscommunication with who is coming out to spray the house. I've had to have them come out more than once to spray because they didn't spray correctly as I was still getting bugs inside the house and there were wasp nests still attached to the house. I will never recommend Dewey pest control and I will never use them again! read more

I was reminded, recently, how thorough, and faithful my service tech, Gabriel, has and continues to be; he is always polite and consistent, and most of all, he keeps those critters out of the house! Also, the manager Jim Baldridge, is always available to educate us on pest stuff. Recently I had a stowaway hitch a ride home from the store, but Dewey acted so fast that it didn't turn into a "thing". Would have given them a higher rating, except one month they were scheduled to come, and they never did until prompted by my call, That was a bit disappointing. Also, just received my closing bill, as the house has been sold. Good Afternoon to all in the Antelope Valley, this review is for Jason Wallis, Licensed Termite inspector.I. I have already written reviews on other Dewey employees but they have such excellent knowledgeable employees, I feel the need to write another review. This morning while my contractor was putting flooring in my house, he discovered some dirt looking material underneath the carpet in my master bedroom closet and doorway. He advised me to have Dewey Pest control come over to my house as soon as possible to find out exactly what it is. I called Dewey Pest Control and advised them of the problem, they told me they could have someone out to my house this afternoon. How fantastic is that that's what I call customer service at its finest. Approximately 2 o'clock Jason Wallis, arrived at my House, introduced himself immediately, very nice very pleasant very knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately. He also was very very very careful of my animals making sure that my cats did not get outside. Not many people are that careful with your pets. He immediately went into my master bedroom and went to work, checking the area out thoroughly and making sure he knew exactly what he was dealing with. Again constantly reassuring me that everything is going to be OK. We will take care of it whatever the case maybe. I am an older woman who lives alone so these type of employees are appreciated by me, more than anybody knows. After he discovered what the situation was, thank the good Lord, it was not termites, just look like an ant problem. He immediately went to work cleaning it up and spraying all around my bedroom, paying special attention to the area where the problem existed. He didn't stop there, after he finished in the bedroom he did an inspection of my whole inside of my house, the exterior of my house, my garage, and even went into my attic. Might I add he even moved boxes, and help me move things out of the way so he could inspect the area. He continued to spray all around my house, outside as well as the garage. After he finished with my entire house he took the time to explain everything to me. Added my email address on the paperwork so that the report would be emailed to me a soon as possible. Asked me if I had any further questions or any other concerns. Which I did not because he covered everything extremely thoroughly. I would recommend Dewey Pest Control to anybody in the antelope Valley you can't go wrong with them. There always friendly always nice very knowledgeable. Called at 8 am asked the office lady to have Jason contact me I had came face to face with a rat on my patio. She took my number told me he would call. Called back at 11 and asked what happened to Jason's call and she acted like she had never talked to me, She took my number again I told her I wanted service today have Jason call. At 145 Jason called said he had just got the message from his board and he couldn't come till the following morning. I told him No today or never. He checked with Victor and called back in a few minutes and did come and set traps for the rodent. Jason did a fine job however the office person needs to be replaced or retrained. Worse pest control service I have ever had, bar none! Signed a one-year contract @ $70/month to help eradicate the rat infestation in my house attic. They would come out once a month and check traps, that's it. Not too long after 1st month's (additional $150) start-up started hearing "sounds" again in the attic. My dogs also started catching these rats outside. Was told by Dewey I must be hearing birds on my roof as they looked into attic (weren't allowed to go into attic for some mysterious reason to get a closer look) and there was no sign of rat infestation. Now, I have an eradication company coming out to do a complete sanitation/cleanup/reinsulation for the tune of $6000 to repair what these so-called "birds with long tails" have destroyed in the entire attic space. Stay away from this company as I've heard of similar bad service form others! read more

Dewey Pest Control and LUIS are amazing! Luis is extremely thorough, efficient, and polite. My husband and I never had any problems with little bugs with this service. All of my neighbors had problems but we didn't. It was like we had an invisible barrier around our home protecting us! Our standards and expectation are high now thanks to Luis. I'm glad to see so many 5 star reviews on here. I am glad this place's service worked out for them, as it surely did not for me. I called to schedule an initial visit, with a continued visits every three months. The quote was given, and then I was told a technician would contact me that same day, with service to be done within 24 hours. The technician never called. I called back before 5pm to find out what was going on. Was put on hold and asked to leave a voicemail. Called the next day, when the service was already to have been done, because I had yet to hear from the technician. They had no idea what was going on. Once again, they said they'd have the technician call me, and yet again, I never got a call. I called CLARK PEST CONTROL and they were very helpful and will be out tomorrow. FYI, Dewey quoted me at $79 for initial visit. CLARK is charging me $0 for initial visit. Yes, they waive the fee. CLARK was extremely professional and I had an appointment within 3 minutes of contacting them. It has now been over 30 hours since contacting Dewey, and have still not gotten a call to set up an appointment. Additionally, a friend of mine I spoke with today informed me they had the same issue with Dewey when they had them a while ago. So apparently, this isn't an isolated incident. I recommend you go elsewhere for your pest control needs, I have never experienced such unreliability and incompetence in a service yet. read more

They're extremely helpful and very professional. They got back to me right away when I initially called them, and I got an appointment very quickly. When Victor came out to the house, he went through all my options very thoroughly and even saved me some money by suggesting a less expensive schedule (he wasn't trying to get as much money out of me as possible). He totally worked around my schedule too - I needed to leave for an hour, so he did part of his work, then returned when I got home to do the remainder. I would recommend Dewey to anyone. read more
