These guys were great! I called them for some mice I was not able to get rid of on my own after trying everything. They came out an assessed the situation and left some traps in my attic. I was a bit uncomfortable using lethal methods, but I was ready for them to be gone. They came 3 weeks in a row to check the traps and nothing. But they didn't give up. They came back, reassessed, closed some holes into my house and left some glue traps in different areas. A week later...nothing. Nevertheless they persisted. Coming back 3 more time with no further charge to catch those critters. No mice anywhere. They felt bad that they could not catch anything for me and offered to come back free of charge if they came back. I was happy. Hey, I called them to get rid of the mice and they're gone! We had our termite inspection done by Christopher Charles. From the minute he arrived, he was already very informative about what he needed to do and how he was going to do it. He also taught us some things about termites that we did not know before. He was also very open to answering any questions we had. He was very friendly, funny, and down to earth. Though we already knew that he is going to need to look at every nook and cranny of our home, he was still very respectful in asking permission to go upstairs and to go into the master's bedroom. I called customer service and Melza helped us out so much. My mom and I got rats in our home just after my dad died. We initially called terminix but they only came out every 3 months, giving the rats time to procreate! So, we terminated the terminix company and got Dewey. They came out 2-3 times a week and got rid of the rats in about a month! Luis still comes out every few weeks to spray the house for bugs and makes sure the rats don't come back. 5/5 stars, would recommend! **update** Luis from Dewey still comes out, got one possible rat in the garage, but they are taking care of it. Unfortunately I have to give Dewey 2 stars too. Like some of the others - I've called customer service on many occasions to hear that I'll get a call back. Sometimes I do but it's always a day or three later. I too have had to spray around my place because if the new guy comes to spray and I'm not home or don't answer the door because I'm busy I get a tag on my door and he never returns. We just moved into the area and I wanted to make sure our new home was pest free so based on many positive reviews, I decided to give Dewey Pest Control a call. I spoke with Victor who stated that they would come over our home, confirm if we have pests or not, and give me a free consultation. He confirmed they do service our area (since a negative review was written by another yelper for them failing to call a possible customer back all because they didn't service his area). He took down my information and said he would call me back within an hour to see if he had a technician available that day. That was a few days ago. Very disappointing when you spend time waiting for a phone call. A nice courtesy call back would have sufficed rather than me waiting when I could have called another company. I also just received their letter in the mail as they send new homeowners their info but apparently there is no need for it. I really wanted to try and like this company but if they can't even return a phone call, I guess that speaks volumes of their professionalism, or lack thereof. read more

I wasn't even given the chance to use them. We recently moved into our new home and we had a tech who approached us about getting their service since they would be in the area Thursday-Sat and they we're having a special of 60$ if I remember correctly. Prior to the sales man speaking to me he asked if my parents were home. I giggled since I know I look young but told him I was the owner. (I thanked him for the compliment) as he was telling me the info, my husband came out since I was on my way out already. My husband made an appt for sat and we made the necessary arrangements to not be home for two hours after the service. It was memorial weekend and no one showed up! We changed our small family gathering so we can accommodate them. I figured the guy made a mistake and someone would call Tuesday since it was a holiday weekend. No one called! Had bad luck with customer service. Did not return my wife's call. (She left a message on Saturday 8-24-19) Spoke with a secretary (9am Tuesday 8-27-19)who said a technician would return the call that day. Finally got a call the following day at 3pm (Wednesday 8-28-19) I missed the call but called back within 5 minutes and was told the technician was gone for the day and he would return my call the following day. Over a week has gone by and I still haven't heard from them & I don't care to at this point. I don't leave bad reviews but it's sad when you have a pest problem which is gross and unwanted and you can't even get a phone call returned. I was able to set up with service by having things explained thoroughly. Lousy company don't use. Had a confirmed appointed on 08/12/22 between 9:00 - 11:00. took time off work waiting for them till 11:00. They never showed up, no call or anything. I called them and they tell me they were just to busy and they can come in a week probably to do the same thing. Very disappointed, and never got to use them. I called for emergency service. Found baby scorpions in my bedroom of house we just bought. It wasnt the fact that they don't come for emergencies, it was that the receptionist said the service tech would call me back. I waited by the phone, no call. Set up an appointment with Dewey for my mom who has a bad roach problem. Luis was very informative and friendly, I had a list of questions to ask and before I even got the chance to ask he had answered all my questions. He took the time to explain the procedure and what would happen. I was very impressed and am looking forward to seeing the results which should take about a month to see a big difference. I signed up with Dewey after moving in to this place on the fringe between Lancaster & Lake LA. Few big issues outside that were migrating inside. GRANT is the rep that's been coming over. Extremely nice, professional & prompt. After 1 treatment there was a huge improvement & for several weeks you can see dead bugs in trouble areas. It's been a few months now & I'm happy to have the service. Grant just left again & remembers the house, trouble areas & my pets which he is good in keeping safe from the poison. This has to be the worst company I've ever dealt with. I signed up for their 1 year service contract despite some unethical ploys to get me to sign up. But whatever, I didn't read the fine print and they conned me. After a year, I submitted a cancellation request. No response. Send another e-mail. No response. Called the branch and was told they got the e-mail but the cancellation got lost in the shuffle and that they'd cancel the account. Account was never cancelled. Received the next cycle's bill and sent another e-mail. No response. Called the branch again and was told the same thing. They have all the e-mails, but aren't sure why the account hasn't been canceled. They will get on it right away and cancel the account. Nope, never happened. Called the branch back a third time and it's the same story. They will cancel, they will e-mail a confirmation, I'll get a call from the Manager. Nadda. Zip. Zilch. Nothing. Looks like I'm going to be relegated to disputing the service charge with my credit card company until they cancel my account. This place is a total scam. read more

The rep knocked on my door, and he told me they would have trucks on my street due to the infiltration of cockroaches and other spiders and insects. He then asked if I were the owner of the house. I told him I did not even know who he is. He then identified himself as being from Dewey. The manager apologized but said corporate sends people out door to door. Although I was scheduled for service later on in the month Luis stated he will keep me in mind if a cancellation came up for a sooner appointment. I've been receiving pest control service from Dewey for years. So far they have been excellent. We had a huge problem with insects when we moved into our current home, and Dewey was able to get them under control. We normally get service every other month, but if we ever needed something in between it was never a problem to have someone come out. Whatever type of bug you see, all you have to do is let them know and they know exactly how to remedy the situation. Our current service guy is Hector and he has always been great.
