Not very happy with our first experience with Dewey. We paid $200 to have them come out and spray and signed a year contract. The very next day and days after we had several spiders and pincher bugs in our house, still had huge spiders and bugs in our garage and right outside our door and in our yard. This was after he said they spray 30 feet out from our home. I called Dewey on Monday, July 2nd and of course got their answering service. Left a message with my contact information and what the problem was and never got a call back. I called the following Monday and luckily someone answered the phone. I told her that I had left a message with their answering service a week prior and no one called me back. She completely ignored what I just had told her and just said, how can I help you? No I'm sorry you didn't receive a call back, nothing!! Zero care or empathy after we just paid $200 and still had lots of bugs both inside and outside our house. She arranged to have them come back out and spray again 2 days later. When he came, my husband explained what was going on since they came to spray the first time only a few weeks prior. He had the nerve to tell my husband "it's nothing that they did wrong, that it's hot and so the bugs are going to come in". Well then why pay hundreds of dollars and sign a year contract if we're going to have bugs inside and outside anyway? He sprayed again, but I didn't like that he told us that comment. We weren't even upset when he came, we just wanted him to spray again. He sprays again and a couple days later, we find several spiders in our garage and other bugs still near the perimeter of our house. So we had to go to Home Depot and get pest control spray and since then my husband has sprayed the perimeter of our house, our garage and the window sills/doorways etc himself. Why should we be paying hundreds of dollars a year to have to spray ourselves? And then when we call to let Dewey know, there's no one to answer the phone and then zero care when no one called us back. But when I called to schedule the first service and sign a contract, suddenly the phone was answered and they were out practically the next day to get our $200 and sign a contract. I have the names of both of these individuals, but I will refrain from posting them publicly. We are not happy. We paid all of this money, are stuck in a contract for a year and now my husband is going to have to spray anyway. read more

Called in to Schedule an appointment. They have different options depending on what you would like I went with the every three months. They in Luis and he did an amazing job explaining things. The day he came to check out our ant situation there were many all over the house. He sprayed and left within an hour. After the first day we had no ants in our two story house. They have been gone including any other outdoor bugs. We're very satisfied and should have called him sooner. No ants in the summer is a first. Usually they'd be out on anything we'd leave on the counters within minutes and now we don't have to worry about them being everywhere. read more

These guys were great! I called them for some mice I was not able to get rid of on my own after trying everything. They came out an assessed the situation and left some traps in my attic. I was a bit uncomfortable using lethal methods, but I was ready for them to be gone. They came 3 weeks in a row to check the traps and nothing. But they didn't give up. They came back, reassessed, closed some holes into my house and left some glue traps in different areas. A week later...nothing. Nevertheless they persisted. Coming back 3 more time with no further charge to catch those critters. No mice anywhere. They felt bad that they could not catch anything for me and offered to come back free of charge if they came back. I was happy. Hey, I called them to get rid of the mice and they're gone! Thanks Andy!! read more

We had our termite inspection done by Christopher Charles. From the minute he arrived, he was already very informative about what he needed to do and how he was going to do it. He also taught us some things about termites that we did not know before. He was also very open to answering any questions we had. He was very friendly, funny, and down to earth. Though we already knew that he is going to need to look at every nook and cranny of our home, he was still very respectful in asking permission to go upstairs and to go into the master's bedroom. Top notch employee. He also was very thorough in his work. At the end of his service, he informed us of ways we can increase the value of our home with insurance. read more

Andrew from Dewey pest control came out to give me a free in-home consultation. Andrew was so thorough and professional that I thought he was the owner of the company only to find out he has only been with the company since June. After his consultation he informed me that they could send out a technician and start my service that same day. Within an hour after him leaving my home the technician Tony called me told me he would be to my home in 20 minutes. He was there on time and very professional. I would definitely recommend Dewey Pest Control! read more

Dewey pest control is excellent! Victor G. Is our service guy who helps keep all the creepy crawleys away from our home and targets the areas we are specifically concerned with going above and beyond his duties! He keeps us informed and in the loop with what he uses and when he plans to come service and is even great with our 3 dogs in the backyard! We highly recommend him and the company! read more

Jed is one of the best. When he comes he's very detailed and make sure that he sprays every corner of the house. If I have any questions he has no problem answering them. He's also always on time which I appreciate so if you're looking for a fast efficient pest control this would be the place to go. read more

Unfortunately I have to give Dewey 2 stars too. Like some of the others - I've called customer service on many occasions to hear that I'll get a call back. Sometimes I do but it's always a day or three later. I too have had to spray around my place because if the new guy comes to spray and I'm not home or don't answer the door because I'm busy I get a tag on my door and he never returns. Jason was my guy at Dewey for about 2.5 years and was awesome. I mean he was just great. Consistent, thorough, prompt, pro-active etc. since he's been gone it's like a different company for whatever reason. I called today and spoke with the manager. Very nice guy and said he would fix the issue and get things straight. I hope that is the case - read more

Man talk about going beyond the service. I texted my technician VICTOR that we had an emergency ant issue and right away he responded quickly. I know he was super busy with houses and he tried to put me in the same day I texted him. He said he will get me the next day in his already busy schedule. He's always been great with checkups and concern of our situations. I really true appreciate him for going the extra mile. Dewy you need more techs like him and make sure you don't lose him, he's a terrific tech and person. Thank you Victor and dewy read more

Worst pest control ever I had water bugs and oriental roaches and spiders also those pincher bug earwigs never got rid of them and we had them for 12 months and they never got rid of anything and then they charge you before they would even come out to do the job. So please do not use this company read more

We just moved into the area and I wanted to make sure our new home was pest free so based on many positive reviews, I decided to give Dewey Pest Control a call. I spoke with Victor who stated that they would come over our home, confirm if we have pests or not, and give me a free consultation. He confirmed they do service our area (since a negative review was written by another yelper for them failing to call a possible customer back all because they didn't service his area). He took down my information and said he would call me back within an hour to see if he had a technician available that day. That was a few days ago. Very disappointing when you spend time waiting for a phone call. A nice courtesy call back would have sufficed rather than me waiting when I could have called another company. I also just received their letter in the mail as they send new homeowners their info but apparently there is no need for it. I really wanted to try and like this company but if they can't even return a phone call, I guess that speaks volumes of their professionalism, or lack thereof. read more

I wasn't even given the chance to use them. We recently moved into our new home and we had a tech who approached us about getting their service since they would be in the area Thursday-Sat and they we're having a special of 60$ if I remember correctly. Prior to the sales man speaking to me he asked if my parents were home. I giggled since I know I look young but told him I was the owner. (I thanked him for the compliment) as he was telling me the info, my husband came out since I was on my way out already. My husband made an appt for sat and we made the necessary arrangements to not be home for two hours after the service. It was memorial weekend and no one showed up! We changed our small family gathering so we can accommodate them. I figured the guy made a mistake and someone would call Tuesday since it was a holiday weekend. No one called! The sales guys name is Troy. To be honest, I feel he really thought we weren't the owners! So sad that people go based off looks! I guess this company must not Like money! read more

Another huge thank you to Dewey! Victor had a quick response and Jason came out quickly to handle the business! Thank you both very much!!

We have been using Dewey pest control for the last few years. Dylan comes out and does his job very professionally. I am very happy with the service I am receiving. I highly recommend Dewey pest control. read more

So far service is going great! And Victor, our technician is great at responding back. Very happy we found them since we moved out here this summer. read more

Ok, so I literally put in a request online last night around 11ish and I got a follow up call the next morning at 9am. So thumbs up for the quick response. I was able to set up with service by having things explained thoroughly. The price was cheaper than Orkin right now, so for that too.the only bummer is they can't come out til Tuesday, but still it's not THAT bad. I was really hoping to get this done like today or tomorrow (7/17/2020). But he explained that they are swamped, which is understandable. I talked to Spencer, and he was very polite and swift with the follow up. So, so far so good. I'll update after they come.. read more

Had bad luck with customer service. Did not return my wife's call. (She left a message on Saturday 8-24-19) Spoke with a secretary (9am Tuesday 8-27-19)who said a technician would return the call that day. Finally got a call the following day at 3pm (Wednesday 8-28-19) I missed the call but called back within 5 minutes and was told the technician was gone for the day and he would return my call the following day. Over a week has gone by and I still haven't heard from them & I don't care to at this point. I don't leave bad reviews but it's sad when you have a pest problem which is gross and unwanted and you can't even get a phone call returned. I ended up going with AV Pest Control and would highly recommend them. (They came out the following day after returning my call within 10 minutes) read more

We have been with Dewey for about 3 years in 2 locations. We have always had really good service, friendly techs, and always have kept the swarm of bugs away. Leonard is our tech now in our new location, and he always calls and returns calls when he is coming to see if we need anything and if certain times work for us. He took care of our wasps today, and the professionalism and overall service is amazing. Thank you for all your work and Dewey is easy to recommend to anyone if your not a fan of pests in your property. read more

I have been with Dewey PC for about 6 years now, my house has not had a infestation of anything. Jason Wallis in the Lancaster area is amazing, he is extremely personable, he always calls before he comes to make sure I can bring my animals in. He works around my schedule if its better. I would highly recommend him if you are in the Lancaster Area. read more

Very disappointed, and never got to use them. I called for emergency service. Found baby scorpions in my bedroom of house we just bought. It wasnt the fact that they don't come for emergencies, it was that the receptionist said the service tech would call me back. I waited by the phone, no call. My husband then called them back, they said they only come here on Thursdays! Not even a courtesy call back, left me waiting. Definitely won't use service now. read more

Dewey Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Lancaster, California

We just had a termite inspection performed by Chris from Dewey Pest Control, Lancaster, CA. What a personable and completely knowledgable gentleman. Set up an appointment with Dewey for my mom who has a bad roach problem. Luis was very informative and friendly, I had a list of questions to ask and before I even got the chance to ask he had answered all my questions. He took the time to explain the procedure and what would happen. I was very impressed and am looking forward to seeing the results which should take about a month to see a big difference. I will update on my review then to see how the treatment is. UPDATE: it's been three months since I got the procedure done. I can say the house is pretty much roach free! I haven't seen a roach in my moms house ever since. Very happy customer! Thank you Dewey! read more

I signed up with Dewey after moving in to this place on the fringe between Lancaster & Lake LA. Few big issues outside that were migrating inside. GRANT is the rep that's been coming over. Extremely nice, professional & prompt. After 1 treatment there was a huge improvement & for several weeks you can see dead bugs in trouble areas. It's been a few months now & I'm happy to have the service. Grant just left again & remembers the house, trouble areas & my pets which he is good in keeping safe from the poison. He's also very quick now that he's been here a few times & I don't have to stress wondering if I need to escort him around. This guys great & the Dewey team is easy to talk to & work with. read more

This has to be the worst company I've ever dealt with. I signed up for their 1 year service contract despite some unethical ploys to get me to sign up. But whatever, I didn't read the fine print and they conned me. After a year, I submitted a cancellation request. No response. Send another e-mail. No response. Called the branch and was told they got the e-mail but the cancellation got lost in the shuffle and that they'd cancel the account. Account was never cancelled. Received the next cycle's bill and sent another e-mail. No response. Called the branch again and was told the same thing. They have all the e-mails, but aren't sure why the account hasn't been canceled. They will get on it right away and cancel the account. Nope, never happened. Called the branch back a third time and it's the same story. They will cancel, they will e-mail a confirmation, I'll get a call from the Manager. Nadda. Zip. Zilch. Nothing. Looks like I'm going to be relegated to disputing the service charge with my credit card company until they cancel my account. This place is a total scam. read more

I've been receiving pest control service from Dewey for years. So far they have been excellent. We had a huge problem with insects when we moved into our current home, and Dewey was able to get them under control. We normally get service every other month, but if we ever needed something in between it was never a problem to have someone come out. Whatever type of bug you see, all you have to do is let them know and they know exactly how to remedy the situation. Our current service guy is Hector and he has always been great. He is very punctual with his appointment times, and he does a thorough job spraying the front, back, and around the house. read more

This company sends out representatives door to door, according to the Lancaster Manager. The rep knocked on my door, and he told me they would have trucks on my street due to the infiltration of cockroaches and other spiders and insects. He then asked if I were the owner of the house. I told him I did not even know who he is. He then identified himself as being from Dewey. The manager apologized but said corporate sends people out door to door. I told him it is not safe to do so and they should find other avenues for solicitation. He had no other solutions except he would talk to corporate. I told him I would call corporate. read more

I started to see an increase in bugs outside due to the this excessive heat wave. I called my guy Luis out of the Lancaster facility and requested service. Although I was scheduled for service later on in the month Luis stated he will keep me in mind if a cancellation came up for a sooner appointment. Luis contacted me as a cancellation came up and he came through and explained all the reasons why the bugs are coming and that he will take care of it. I had no worries and appreciate the Luis efforts. He is great at servicing my home. Thanks Luis!!! read more

We love Dewey, it's become a service we cannot do without. Our exterminator is Luis and he is simply amazing. To be honest we keep Dewey because we love dealing with Luis, he's always on time and always so helpful. Even when I constantly have my husband call and ask him bug questions. Haha. Truly though, I've already recommended Deweys services to a few family members and they've all loved it as well. When it comes to the bugs, once they spray, those little suckers die so fast!! So if you hate bugs as much as me especially damn spiders... call Dewey! read more

Victor is a great exterminator. He does a thorough job of the perimeter of the house. I rarely see a critter inside all year! When everyone has a huge ant problem, ours isn't so bad. He will give us ant traps if we do and that takes care of the rest of them. Victor is also highly professional and kind. We highly recommend Dewey! read more
