If I could give 0 stars I would. The only reason I am not currently signed up with my previous pest control who I absolutely adored is because their schedule got full after I left for a year out of state and came back. First of all it took them 5 times coming back to fix the ant problem in the house since the houses in my area are known for that. My previous pest control company it took 1 time! I have a cleaning lady that comes every 2 weeks I keep my house clean so that wasn't the issue. Second this guy jumped my $5k custom gate on the side a couple months ago which he admitted today and since then I have had issues with my gate. I realized he went to my home and literally was going to do it again because my neighbor called. This man is not small man he looks to be almost 300 pounds so all of that weight on my gate I am just in shock a company would even allow this!!! This guy had the audacity to call me and tell me his manager was at the dentist and he had to assist me! Yea right your boss needs to give me a call cancel my services and refund me! I am so over this company! Do no whatever you do /sign up with them! The crazy part is I had to step out of an office meeting to call Jeff and I couldn't remember the code to the gate which was already unlocked but he locked it when he attempted to put another code in the gate! So I told him you know what you need to come back another day! He responds oh well I guess we'll come back sometime in between the valley and here that sounds super convenient! He literally said this so loud that my neighbor heard! Just to add I did reach out to them and the owner called back left a message saying he was going to cancel the account and to take care! Jeff personally called to let us know that the house and attic were appropriately sealed by a previous rodent proofing project. The only issue was that the traps had not been removed. Great and speedy work. Jeff just came by on Monday to spray and by the next day we found dead roaches and black widows that we had no idea were hiding (thankfully outside). Since we've signed up with 1st Response, the inside of our house has been bug free. To add, at one point in the past we had something in the house that was really attracting bees (to the point that they were trying to come in through our oven vent. For the first time since moving to SoCal, we found our house being invaded by rats and mice as we had a hoarder a few doors down who had to have her house de-junked along with all the attic insulation. That sent the rodents in THEIR house to the neighbors. I contacted our landlord who contacted First Response. Jeff and his crew were at our house within 1 day. Jeff has a very thorough and agile young man on his crew that went through the entire attic (while it was extremely hot) to the farthest reaches with a camera. He was able to find several openings that were left from the original build that you could only spot from the inside due to the daylight showing through. He was completely soaked with sweat when he came down BUT he was VERY meticulous. In just a couple hours, they found all the entry points. The next morning they showed uprightat 9:00am with ALL the correct materials to screen and seal every entry point and then set a few snap traps. Within two hours of their departure, The traps dispatched the first rat. In combination with some glue traps I had bought before they were called and with the traps they installed, we dispatched 3 huge rats and 10 mice. They came back a week later and found one more. We have not had a single intruder in a month. Another exterminator was in the area who was called by neighbors but they do not patch the difficult to reach entry points. You have to contact a handy-man. Jeff and his First Response crew does it ALL. They also handle bee infestations and when possible, they will safely collect the bees and re-home them with a beekeeper as opposed to poisoning them. Top notch company and great folks to work with.
