It was nice to have some vegetables and it was enjoyable. The vanilla scone came in warm and enough clotted cream and jam. The pot of tea was plenty for 2 people. The quality of tea is nothing special just a traditional British breakfast tea. The service was fast and friendly. For once, their slogan 'Making food good' is right on the money. I normally opt for a green curry or butternut squash curry for lunch. Both are crammed full of fresh, wholesome ingredients including brown rice. Both cost £5-6 for the larger size and just over £3 for the smaller size. The packaging is laudably environmentally friendly too, either recyclable or compostable - impressive. Their sweeter stuff is excellent, including lower calorie muffins and red velvet cake, which has a truly delicious (is it cream cheese based?) icing. Even their coffee is good, being easily amongst the best in the area (I usually go for a flat white), and I really appreciate the way that the decaff is freshly ground, which is unusual at places that don't specialise in coffee. Finally, service is quick, friendly and competent. In all, Ravello has fast become my go-to place for lunch and coffee whilst at work.

Around here it's all been the main chains, and lunchtime sandwich bars. Quality's therefore ranged from acceptably-above-mediocre to DIRE. With the arrival of Fabio & Charlie and The Flat Cap Coffee Company however all this has changed, and proper coffee can be found in the streets of Westminster! Fabio is an expert barista with incredible knowledge and attention to detail, and insists on using high-quality ingredients (incl. Square Mile Coffee) to produce a cup which is something I genuinely look forward to in the morning (as opposed to the routine "heart starter" that a coffee once was). The prices are on par with other places around the area - somewhere in the vicinity of £1.80 to £2.20 depending on what you're having. They also sell a very tasty range of pastries & whatnot brought in from Villandry, although you've usually got to get in pretty quick in the morning!
