Tea sandwiches and dessert. So much food for three people! Bottomless tea and wonderful finger foods. Completely worth it.

Posting some pics of tea time at the St Ermin's. The experience there was wonderful, food was scrumptious, service was friendly and good.

Excellent service; they were able to accommodate food allergies. One of the members of my party has a chocolate allergy and they were able to provide alternative desserts for her to enjoy. The setting is beautiful, presentation was lovely. We enjoyed the first seating of the day at noon and had a wonderful meal. My favorite sandwich was the curry chicken, so delicious. We were served a beautiful passion fruit dessert as well as a key lime which were the stars of the experience for me. The flavors were amazing, not too sweet. The tea selections were lovely and I enjoyed adding a glass of bubbly to start and end the experience.

As tourists we debated between going to St. Ermin's Tea Lounge and Oscar Wilde Bar for afternoon tea. We decided on St. Ermin's b/c it was close to Westminster Abbey after our tour ended at 2p. We arrived around 2:15 without reservation. We waited for 10-15min and were seated by friendly staff. The service is top notch as many reviewers said. The setting was just right amount of class without being too overwhelming. The set menu serves a good range of finger sandwiches and desserts plus individual teas. Even though everything was small portion, added together it was quite a lot of food. All of the sandwiches were delicate and tasty. The desserts were good too, but all together a bit too sweet. The bottomless tea helped to balance the sweet dessert. We loved everything and were quite full by the end. We couldn't eat another bite when they brought out freshly baked scones. We each took a bite to share one just to try. It was so good, hot and fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend this tea lounge for first, second and more experiences.

This place is excellent. We had afternoon tea and it was simply delightful. They bring out the loose leaf teas to smell and then you make your selection. The dishware is beautiful and my kids had a blast. Plus it's one of the more reasonable in London.

Super friendly staff, we were only in the market for tea and scones, they kindly allowed us to forgo the finger sandwiches and sweets. Located a few minutes walk from Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament, the St. Ermin Hotel is quintessential old London. Charming and elegant, the hotel looks adorable! We went upstairs to the tea room, and the beautiful, delicate China teapots and cups whisked us back to a more simpler time. Or I don't know, was it more simple? Anyhoo, if you're looking for afternoon tea that makes you feel pretty cute, St. Ermin is a good pick. It's more relaxed than tea at places like the Ritz, but an equally good pick!

We had a wonderful afternoon at the beautiful St. Ermin's Tea Lounge. The sandwiches, pastries, and sweets were amazing, and we loved trying the different teas. The service was perfect.

The PERFECT place for afternoon tea! This place is located close to the Buckingham Palace area. Really wanted to try afternoon tea in London during my visit, hoping to return here and recommending this location to everyone. Service - 5/5 Teoni (SP?) was a DELIGHT. She was so sweet and accommodating, she was my designated server - however, everyone else was lovely to me as well. Food/drinks - 5/5 REASONABLY well priced. 43 pounds for afternoon tea with champagne and unlimited tea options? Been to multiple places in New York and Canada for afternoon tea, I pay nearly DOUBLE this without champagne and unlimited tea.. most times it's ONE tea option! Décor - 5/5 this place is so gorgeous with lots of natural light. It's so picturesque.

Afternoon tea for one adult and one child

Absolutely marvelous! I went with my 12 year old daughter and we both loved the whole experience. We did not have reservations but luckily they were able to accommodate us. They had a child's menu which was perfect for my daughter. The food, champagne, tea, everything exceeded our expectations. I personally loved their signature tea. Our server Metodia was very professional and yet full of excitement. He made the whole experience even more special for us. If you are looking to simply enjoy a beautiful afternoon tea, look no further. This is the place to go to!!

We came by for afternoon tea, and it was delicious! It's located up the stairs in St Ermin's hotel. Reservations were made in advance and we came a little early but they did accommodate. They give you a brief introduction regarding the different kinds of tea if it's your first time and throughout your time you can try as many as you like. I believe we had the Hibiscus and English Breakfast. You get a tea timer to see how long you should let your tea sit for. I was so full by the time I got to the scones I could barely even finish! My favorite was the hazelnut praline choux, as a chocolate lover, this was sweet and just melted in your mouth. The place is small and fits a few tables, intimate and lovely. Service was very friendly and quick. Overall had a wonderful experience here.

Amazing experience for me, my husband, and daughter. We thought the price was on par for the beautiful ambiance, the quality and taste of food, and the kind and attentive service we received. If we ever find ourselves back in London, we wouldn't hesitate to come back to St. Ermin's Afternoon Tea.

We had a lovely tea at St. Ermin's which is a beautiful hotel right near St. James Park tube stop. The teas were fantastic and service was great. I highly recommend the green teas. I also had a mint tea which was amazing. The finger sandwiches and sweets were very tasty. It was also very quiet and relaxing. I'm so glad I was able to check out the tea here!

    The beautiful St Ermin Hotel

Top notch afternoon tea service. We enjoyed the adult tea service which included endless tea pots with a selection of yummy tea varieties. We all liked the tea sandwiches including Brie, Turkey cranberry, and crawfish. They also offer a child tea service modified to include ham with cheese sandwiches. Of course the desserts were the star here. Mini tea desserts included the best macarons I've ever tasted, cheesecake bites, Panna Cotta, Christmas spice cake, and fresh baked scones at the end. The scones were next level good. If you're looking for an amazing tea service in London set in a beautiful hotel, this is the place.

Afternoon tea service. The tea was very good. The rest is just edible

While in London, we had afternoon and cream tea in several places and this one, unfortunately, is not worth the money they're charging. Everything looks very nice, their china and the platter with sandwiches and pastry bites. Taste wise - the tea is great, the food is very average, especially their desserts, which resemble the desserts you get at a buffet of the mid-level all inclusive resort. And their scones are dense and heavy.

Caution, I emailed my request for reservation twice, they never got it. We had to wait until some other party who had a reservation did not show up for 45 minutes after their appointed time. Worth the wait. Make sure you double check your reservation. There were empty tables, but they do not take walk ins as there is only a certain amount of food prepared depending on reservations. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Served quite warm as well. Pretty alright tea finger sandwiches overall; the cucumber sandwich had a nice lemon zing to it though the smoked salmon sandwich and egg sandwich had bread that was a bit on the stale side. Regarding desserts, the raspberry macaron was very tasty and had a great slight chew to it but the red velvet cake was pretty dry. There were more food items at the tea service but I'm just highlighting the most noteworthy ones. :p For tea I had the jasmine lychee. Satisfyingly bold lychee taste! Recommend if you want something bright-fruity with slight tartness. Service was very polite and all-smiles but could've been more attentive. This review is specifically for the historic one at Kensington Palace, the beautiful baroque building in the palace gardens. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea here, and it was everything I hoped for and more - a perfect blend of elegance, history, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, our host Denis made us feel incredibly welcome. First and foremost, I have to say he has a great first name - it's the same as mine (Dennis/Denis), which gave us an instant connection and a good laugh! He was exceptionally accommodating, giving us plenty of choice over where to sit and checking in on us multiple times throughout the afternoon with genuine friendliness and care. His attention to detail really elevated the whole experience. Our waiter, Mustafa, was nothing short of amazing. He handled our dietary needs with ease - accommodating gluten-free and vegetarian options without any fuss - and even split the afternoon tea accordingly so we could both enjoy it fully. The food itself was lovely, but the standout for me was the tea selection. I tried several varieties: peppermint, masala chai, vanilla chai, and classic English breakfast. The staff were happy to bring different teas or extra hot water whenever we asked, and don't forget to add sugar and milk for that perfect personal touch - it made all the difference. The setting is stunning, with the historic Orangery building and views of the Kensington Palace gardens creating a truly relaxing and regal atmosphere. Every moment felt unhurried and enjoyable; it was the ideal way to spend a peaceful afternoon. Huge thanks to Denis and Mustafa for their outstanding service - they made what could have been a standard tea into something truly memorable. Highly recommend booking ahead (it's popular!), and if you get the chance, ask for these two legends. We'll definitely be back!

We thought The Orangery would be the ideal spot as it sits right by the Kensington Palace. My group made reservations, which are encouraged. When we arrived there were ample seats both inside and outside. The interior is white, simple, clean, and bright. A bit bleak on the eye. We chose to sit outside to get some sun, people watch, and enjoy being by the gardens. All of the staff took great care of us, checked on my dietary restrictions, came by numerous times, and were kind and courteous. Now for the afternoon tea, we got the Afternoon Tea and the Vegan Afternoon Tea. I am dairy free so the vegan one was for me, but I eat certain meats so we did share and sample each other's. To start, the presentation was fine, nothing spectacular. The portions were plentiful as I could only eat the finger sandwiches and half of one scone, I saved the rest. I only expected more but found all of the sandwiches to be pretty neutral. I wish there were more seasoning, filling, and the bread wasn't as dry as it was. The scone was good with the provided preserves. When I did have the sweets they were all good, the fruit ones being my favorite. For tea, I chose the Organic Darjeeling. It came out to about three cups and was light and delicate. We left full! Kensington Palace is iconic in itself. If you want to pretend you're a royal or are visiting the area, The Orangery is an option. Honestly, I wouldn't come for their tea as I thought it was just okay. I would recommend going somewhere else, but I'm glad to check this off my bucket list!
