    Pot of tea
    Joyce H.

Lovely tea house open late for all the gossip you need to spill. I came here around 8pm with a friend and it was pretty much near empty with only 1-2 other parties coming and going. Service was absolutely excellent. All of the staff are well-informed and knowledgeable and able to give me recommendations based on my preferences. They even allowed me to smell as many teas as I wanted so that I was 110% happy with my choice. I tend to be very picky with my teas, but they were patient with me. I was very intimidated coming here at first and was worried that the prices would be out of my budget, but I believe they are very fair according to the type and quality of tea. I ordered a pot of the Fenghuang Dancong and it was £11. The pot itself is very large and I shared it with my friend. We ended up staying until 9:30pm. The second floor is the cafe area and the ground floor is the shop. Restrooms are in the basement. The whole place is very well-organized, spacious, and clean. There is also food and beautiful French pastries which I unfortunately did not try but I would definitely love to next time. So many more teas to explore!

Great selections of tea in a cozy atmosphere. Nice food quality with good taste. Service is normal as you may expect from a tea room.

The famous French tea maker has finally set up a tea salon and shop on this side of the channel. Located in re-gentrified Covent Garden, the Mariage Freres tea salon is part shop, part tea museum and part tea salon. It is infinitely elegant and refined, it feels like a palace of tea with its sparkling interiors. It is also a lot bigger than it looks from the street, stretching back to reveal a another room filled with tea. On the floor above, far from the madding crowd, is a tea room restaurant should you wish to sit and rest your feet but pastries and take away tea are also available near the entrance. Or you can easily sample teas, many, many teas to your heart's delight in the shop as the service is friendly and eager to please and help. I was welcomed on a cold day with a wonderful cup of their renowned Marco Polo tea as walked in the door eager to explore. I happily stayed a while to peruse and even though I didn't need any tea, left with some to take home.

ordered 100g chamling darjeeling , about 39 quids. This tea house offer high quality of tea and wide selection of variety. Impressive collection of tea pots, utensiles...etc. Spacious second floor for sit down have a cup of tea. ** for tea lover, Darjeeling and Earl Grey cannot be missed. "Paris Earl Grey", "Earl Grey French Blue" is my fav now. ** highly recommend having an English style Afternoon Tea here

    Review Highlights - Mariage Freres

We came by on impulse, on a mid afternoon without reservation and luckily were seated, upstairs in a cozy but formal tea room .
