When in London you must experience a full British Tea experience. We stopped here and the place is first class. The walls all lined with Teas from literally every corner of the world. We tried the caramel, evening dinner party, and classic earl grey teas. The pastries were beautiful and delicious. The staff goes out of their way to maker the entire experience delightful.

Humongous assortments of teas. I had the afternoon tea service, in the back of the establishment. The sandwiches and pastries were good, but nothing special, the tea (pu-er, circa 2000) was very enjoyable. The server was very nice, though not the most attentive. Pricey, but enjoyable overall.

Then it took some time to find the right venue. Need to go through the door in the middle of sculpture exhibition hall, across the garden, enter the other building door. Do not get confused by many other food choices (coffee, hot meals, cakes or others). It's on the left side of entrance with reception table for you to check in. There are 3 options, depending on whether you need to celebrate anything, with price varying at £30, £35 and £38. You will get 5 pieces of sandwiches, 5 pieces of sweat and the your choice of tea. I chose traditional one, English breakfast with milk and sugar.

There was a choice of tea or proseco or both to go along with the savory and sweet tea sandwiches. It was pricey, 30pounds, but I wanted to splurge a little. Caution, I emailed my request for reservation twice, they never got it. We had to wait until some other party who had a reservation did not show up for 45 minutes after their appointed time. Worth the wait. Make sure you double check your reservation. There were empty tables, but they do not take walk ins as there is only a certain amount of food prepared depending on reservations. The museum was fun to walk around after tea.

My mom and I had the full afternoon tea and we ordered two cream teas for my kids. Everyone absolutely loved it. The finger sandwiches were tuna, cucumber, egg, smoked salmon and a warm ham and cheese. The scones were delightful. We don't love raisins in our scones and they were able to accommodate us. The service was amazing. Everyone was so kind. I'd absolutely come here again!

Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Served quite warm as well. Pretty alright tea finger sandwiches overall; the cucumber sandwich had a nice lemon zing to it though the smoked salmon sandwich and egg sandwich had bread that was a bit on the stale side. Regarding desserts, the raspberry macaron was very tasty and had a great slight chew to it but the red velvet cake was pretty dry. There were more food items at the tea service but I'm just highlighting the most noteworthy ones. :p For tea I had the jasmine lychee. Satisfyingly bold lychee taste! Recommend if you want something bright-fruity with slight tartness. Service was very polite and all-smiles but could've been more attentive. I'd say I would return here mainly for the tea and the scones!

The soaring arches, geometric marble floors, dark wood, and beautifully judged lighting make it handsome and timeless. At the same time, the constant flow of people gives the place a wonderful energy from morning through late evening. What I admire most is how naturally it combines grandeur with warmth: the service is polished and attentive without pretension, and the atmosphere suits a business breakfast, afternoon tea, or celebratory dinner. Set on Piccadilly beside The Ritz and a short walk from Green Park, it feels quintessentially London and remains one of my favorite places to experience the city at its most elegant and alive.

While the overall look of the restaurant is beautiful with all the black and white flooring and gold-trimmed accents along the doors and walls, it is just a loud spot filled with tourists. The Afternoon Tea did include ample food, but scones and fingers sandwiches and cakes are not my favorites. Also, the tea selection is fine, but not very robust. I was hoping for a good mint tea, and asked for Earl Grey, but they brought me Afternoon Break instead. I didn't complain because honestly service was so slow and it took forever to get the attention of a waiter. I will say they let us linger with a glass of champagne beyond the 90 minute rule, so we were able to kill some extra time at our table before a theater show nearby. But overall, I'd skip this and get high tea somewhere else.

This is an exciting idea for someone who's vaguely aware of fashion like me, however, I wish it tasted as good as it looked. Other than the taste of the dessert, The Caramel Room is great. Beautiful interior, impeccable furnitures, good lighting. It was a bit hard to get the server's attention at times, especially near the end but not a huge problem. Unfortunately, I am far more interested in devouring a nicely made scone than staring at a Moschino purse shaped biscuit (which was overly sweet). Glad I went but I'd stick with more conventional tea next time.

The tableware, presentation, and desserts are gorgeous. They even have your name on a cute pink high heel shoe cut-out showing the reserved table and also send you home with purse takeaway boxes with some additional desserts. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food or the desserts. Although the desserts looked appetizing they did not taste very good. In addition, one of the sandwiches ...which we believe was cheese was absolutely awful. In my opinion, the Lanesborough or the Goring are much better options for afternoon tea.
