He explained how the barrier worked and provided a reasonable estimate. I subsequently scheduled an installation date. Ed and the crew arrived on time and went to work. The installation was completed in about 3 hours. The crew was very polite and cleaned up very well. We are happy that our house is better insulated. Great job! Fair priced, professional. Ed DeVore came out to the house 1 week ago. We had no insulation and need 15" of blown in, just to be code. Ed didn't over sell. He gave us a quote, showed us foil radiant barrier protection. That is where they tack foil to the gables and trusses. So that everything touching the roof is foil. It cuts the sun beating down by 90%. We were sold, and today, four nice gentlemen came wrapped in white toes to head jumpsuits. They laid out plastic everywhere. When they were done we had zero clean up. The foil went first, then prep for the blown in. These guys moved quick. First all together then in groups. They were men with a plan. The job was 7 hours start to finish. Now the price was great. When you factor the number of bags, the getting them home, renting a machine and doing just the insulation yourself. What we paid was the same, and you really need a professional. The foil wow. Did I mention rebate. Oh, DeVore insulation uses Knauf products. 62% recycled and eco friendly. The product meets that standard in all of Europe and North America. It is a 100% green product. We liked that. So, start to finish as painless as having four guys crawling in your attic can be. Ed was personally referred to us for new insulation by our airconditioning/heating company that we use, Nicholas Aire Systems. Our house is 31 years old and we were in need of additional insulation in the attic. He gave us a quote and his workers were out the following weekend and the job was done in a 1/2 day. Ed Devore never showed up at my home, and his workers left a HUGE mess. They didn't put down plastic outside before they blew insulation into my walls and stained my sandstone patio and front porch with stucco and cement. They left insulation lying around in piles, their lunch wrappers and coke cans, and my front hose on! When asked to clean up, Ed sent one skinny kid with a hand scraper, broom, and dust pan. ALSO, they never sent me a list of what to prep for, and the vibration from their drilling into the wall outside my bathroom caused the urn with my mother's ashes to fall and break. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and STILL not taking responsibility or making any effort to clean the remaining grout and stucco blobs on my patio. I would NEVER recommend this company and if it were possible to give negative stars, I would. read more

I was referred to Devore Insulation by Nicholas Aire conditioning. The combination of the two companies has lowered my electric bill and turned our house into a totally comfortable home. I had Ed install the radiant barrier on the underside of the roof framing and R-30 in the attic. This is a contractor who cares about your home and will do his best to make you happy. You can be assured he will clean up and make you happy. By the way I am a retired Building inspector and know what I'm looking at. Devore installed the foil Radiant Barrier to roof rafters and gables, and additional insulation to bring our home up to the current standards. The owner, Ed, was great to work with, and his guys were professional, on time, and protected all of the surrounding surfaces while they worked. Because we were having a new heating and air conditioner installed (shout out to Nicholas Air), they started the work by installing the radiant barrier (about 1/2 day), and then came back and blew the additional insulation in (about 1/2 day). I agree with everything the other reviewer wrote. I also was referred by Nicholas Aire. I called Ed, he came out the next day, got the quote to me in 3 days, and did the work 2 days later. Insulation has got to be the best cost/reward trade off there is. And you get rebates from SCG. DeVore blew insulation into my attic over the R11 that was code back in the 80's, bringing it to R40 or so. My upstairs used to be 5-8 degrees warmer than downstairs, and now the temp is the same as downstairs, which really helps since my house was built with only 1 AC unit-I don't have to freeze downstairs to have the upstairs comfortable. For you garage guys, I had DeVore put insulation in the rafters (garage is open up to the rafters with about a 20 foot ceiling), and then put in a radiant barrier. Probably cut a good 10-12 degrees at least off the garage heat level. Yesterday it was 90 outside, and it never got past 82 in my garage (I also have a Costco solar powered attic vent up there; highly recommended). Ed is a pro and a nice guy. His crew is polite and mindful of being neat and cleaning up. And insulation is cheap. Go for it. read more
