This is for my review of Devon on the self-storage side. I left a previous review for them, concerning Uhaul on the other location. I am giving them 4 stars here because my original Uhaul online reservation from two days before my rental day was originally supposed to be picked up here for easy return after storing my things. The lady sent me over to the other location for pickup and things went downhill from there. But- I am not complaining about this lady's work ethic here. This lady went above and beyond on the storage unit angle and I have no regrets about renting from them. She called the day I made the reservation to get some details and told me I would need to finalize some things the following day. I go down there and she was able to get me in and taken care of with ease. She then offered to take me to show me where my unit was. I was glad I had inquired about its location, because it turned out that the door was slightly more narrow than the width of the unit and my sofa wouldn't be able to fit in that door. She even loaned me her tape measure to get exact measurements. So after verifying my sofa width at home, I called and she said she would figure something out and not to worry! She did some work and called me back a couple of times in the process. She ultimately kept my business and was able to make the situation work out. This lady (whose name escapes me) was attentive and considerate through the entire process. There wasn't much she could do after the other location gave away my Uhaul, but she did call to get details on what happened. She also saw me later pull up in the area, and called my cell phone within a minute to let me know that there was another entrance and I would be better off unloading down there because of its proximity to my unit. I think she was great, and if you are an employer with need of help, find her and hire her! She would make an excellent manager! And she had a lovely personality and sense of humor. The climate controlled storage units themselves exceeded expectations also, and I am pleased. I do recommend Devon for self-storage; just not Uhaul. read more

I've used this storage facility 3 times in the last 18 years, and they've been great. It's good to not have to worry about your things getting ruined or stolen. The prices are pretty reasonable, the place is very clean, and the people in the office are very helpful. I highly recommend. read more

Unbelievable customer service! I was able to set up what I needed completely by remote -- and this was six years ago BEFORE the pandemic. The rep that helped me out received flowers the next day because she went above and beyond by accommodating us and staying after hours off the clock! We recently had to make a short move, using the unit for less than a month. We had called ahead before renting and during to check and make sure we could only pay for that month. They assured us on multiple occasions that that would be fine. They charged us for the second, and when we called, obviously confused, they said that they had "no record of previous calls". Clearly negligent record-keeping and employees, do not trust them. read more

When booking my storage unit the front desk staff was very friendly and informative. They like most storage units have both indoor and outdoor storage. I was able to get an online special for the exact unit I wanted. There is a gate code to get in so not anyone can just drive into the facility. On move-in day I had zero issues which made my moving smooth. I also appreciate that you can pay your bill online instead of having to call or pay through the mail. read more

Be careful when turning in your unit. They told me when I rented that if I didn't use an entire month (because it was intended short term) that it would be prorated and they would refund what was not used. They charged my account on the 7th and I relinquished the space on the 10th. When I called, they said they didn't do refunds...that I had to tell them before the 1st of the month that I would be leaving. I didn't know at that time that I would not be needing the unit. Long story short, I paid 100% for 25% use. Not good customer relations. read more

Amid a snow and ice storm, I was moving the contents of my mother into storage. Devon Storage was recommended to me by the movers, as I live in another town. I contacted them, reserved a storage unit, and then we left my mom's house. The Devon storage rep stayed an hour past closing to assist me. We got everything safely stored the next morning. Friendly, helpful personnel and a safe and secure facility. I highly recommend the facility and the helpful staff. read more
