Be aware! UNMANNED FACILITY!!!Started out as Premium Storage then changed to CubeSmart for a short…read moretime and is now Sherman Self Storage and no longer has an onsite manager. I have had 2 units with them for years. When Cubesmart took over last year they raised one units rate (both are same size and were same price) Now, the "NEW" owners/managers have taken over. Their website shows a move in special(free month) then a monthly rate listed. Their website shows "new" monthly rate is well under my normal rate. Monthly rate listed on website DOES NOT say it is "introductory" I called (got a call center), asked what their rates were for my size unit and was told then I asked for my rates to be dropped to their rates. Needless to say we went round and round with excuses being made up here and there so I'll be vacating this facility soon. When I told them this they tried to make up a few conditions required but I reminded them those are not in my new signed lease...she was quick to keep bringing up the new lease. Anyway, loved this place when it was Premium, tolerated CubeSmart and now completely dislike Sherman Self Storage! Plus, they let the place get trashy looking! Security probably won't be top notch either since the facility is unmanned and, from previous knowledge, didn't have the best quality cameras.

I have rented a storage unit from Public Storage since last February 2025. Within the first three…read moremonths, they raised my rent by $50, every 3 months they raise it, I went from renting a unit for $120 and within a year my rent is $200, which is insane. I've had storage units for four years never had a facility raise it that much that quickly. The second thing is if you don't pay by the 20th they will cut the locks off of your unit within a month, within Three weeks and take photos for auction because by the first or second week of the second month, they will sell your stuff so you don't even get a grace. Period if you're having a hard time, cut it take pictures of your things and and on top of the rent, $30 late fee, they add a lein fee of around $160. Within one month, if you're not able to pay it on time, to save your belongings you pay over $450, then they charge you for a new lock that you never asked for and put it inside your unit and give you a time limit to return it. It's all around just not a very good company to use for a long period of time if you're going to get your stuff out within a month then sure it's an option because it is clean and it is nice that the gates are accessible by Remote, but all the other negative stressful actions that Public Storage does greatly exceeds the positives. It feels as if it's setup so you lose everything you own and they gain property to sell. I would not recommend.

She talked a good talk about their security and cameras so I decided to rent a unit. A few months later, the same weekend they are cleaning out "dead" units, my lock is cut and wouldn't you know all my good stuff is gone! Went on a Saturday afternoon everything was great, went back Monday afternoon...stuff was a mess, units open and rummaged through, piles of old stuff from units in the yard and all my worthwhile possessions gone! Contacted owner immediately and she said they would get the footage and make it right and that they know who did it! Filed police report, police go to get security footage and there is none! How ironic! Asked her to call me, asked for footage for the two days my unit was rummaged through and she would not, or could not, give it to me. So that sign on the gate stating the place is under servelence is missing the words "sometimes". It is spooky to visit this place now...it's like a ghost town. Went a few times to the main gate open and anyone able to come and go! Units full of junk open, trash and abandoned junk left in the aisles. No one available at the office anymore and numbers you can't leave messages at! I'm just sorry I believed her when she said how great her cameras are and secure the facility is! It isn't! Monthly rent on a unit: $50 Loss of possessions on the same weekend they did a "dead" unit clean out: $10,000 Believing in Karma: Priceless!
