There were no issues, I was only considering the driving distance; 20 minutes to Sherman vs. 5 minutes to Bonham. However, after doing business locally for 3-4 years and the quality of service dropping severely (which is a whole other story that probably should be told sometime), I made the decision to go back to Star Cleaners in Sherman. They are now under new ownership, but seem to still offer the same great, in-house service as before. After being back for a few weeks, I am very impressed with the quality of their work and professionalism. They are very adept at removing stains and pressing garments the way you want them done. Also, while dry cleaning is expensive, in general, Star Cleaners is competitive and offers discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I recommend them highly.

I was looking for cremation funeral plans for my oldest brother, and ARMY veteran, who was at the Clyde W. Cosper VA State Home in Bonham, about 45 mintes away. I had all the paperwork and the meeting went really smoothly. Chaz explained everything to me, even when I asked him about having a VETERAN HONOR Service at the National Cematery in Dallas. Chaz took care of everything and removed me from the burden of that task. I felt very comfortable working out all the details of the cremation and funeral plans beforehand. My brother passed on June 7, 2026 at 7pm. The VA State home called American Funeral Services and they were there within the hour to pick up my brother's body. So professional on how that handled removing him from his room to the van outside. Draping an American Flag over his body they wheeled him out in an incredible honor to him. The VA State Home night staff followed us out the building while playing TAPS and....talk about a moment. On Funeral day, Chaz and I planned to meet at the National Cemetary that day. Chaz was very earliy and my brother's remains were laid to rest. I felt so honored and blessed that day.... After the 2nd week came and went, we called to inquire about them. Was told told, " OH yeah, they've been ready". We never received a text or a phone call. My husband went to pick them up and was charged $44.00 for the absolute worst hemming job I have ever seen. There are gaping holes in each pair of pants on the inside and they just look terrible. He took a pair of already hemmed ones to use as a guide of what he wanted.... No where near what was shown. This is very disappointing and it looks like I'm going to have to learn how to hem. I'm no seamstress, but my mother in law used to be ( she was not able to fix these for us) but I am pretty sure I could have done a better job myself by hand and therefore we will not be using them again. I could understand the price had we asked for rush service, but it definitely wasn't rush and I'm pretty sure there wasnt even any length cut off.
