Great service! Even after counter order, staff comes to table for drink refills, check-in, and dessert order. Someone even walked our cake to the car!! Peas were super fresh and delicious. I visited DeVivo Bros on a Wednesday evening for dinner. I went with my husband and two kids, ages 16 and 12. Hubby ordered the chicken Parmesan, which was fine. It could have been fabulous, but it just lacked a little bit. It barely had any marinara or melted cheese on top, which made it more fried chicken than chicken parm. My son and I both ordered the Pasta Diablo, which was good. I had enough sausage to have some in nearly every bite, my son thought the sauce was a bit watered down, but I thought it was fine. My daughter ordered the kids spaghetti. It was also fine. It did have a very long hair in it, which we decided not to complain about. All dishes had just a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, there wasn't any bottles of more anywhere we could see and we decided not to bother the staff about. We ordered two slices of cake, a chocolate and a strawberry, neither tasted like the flavor it purported to be. They just tasted like a cake mix with food coloring. We mostly decided it wasn't worth the calories. All in all everything we ate was just a little underwhelming. Like it was fine, and if they had tried just a little bit more, it could have been great. The staff was also fine, they did their job enough to not complain about, but weren't friendly, welcoming or open to questions, which is why we felt like anything other than ordering the food was bothering them. They mostly just talked and joked with each other. The highlight of the evening was the live music which was great! It was 90s alternative done in an acoustic coffee shop style. It was excellent and might be the reason I return, with my own Parmesan cheese. read more

I ordered to-go and it was SO fantastic!! Did not disappoint on my hour lunch break- yes I had breakfast for lunch. The pancake was fluffy and flavorful, along with the eggs, bacon, and potatoes. My most favorite was the strawberry basil lemonade!!! I mean you can taste the fresh basil (and it's not too much, the perfect amount), it is AMAZING and I would go back just for that. First time visiting, 1 hour before closing. The place was surprisingly lively! Overall I give it a 4.5/5 star. I have seen complaints about the staff on here that I would like to address. This restaurant is very laid back. Grab the menu, go to the counter, pay, collect your drink cups and table tag, and find yourself an open table. This isn't an unknown concept, as many places do this, it's just not common in the non fast food type environment. The staff were quick to bring us our food, occasionally checked on us but it wasn't like the servers were popping up too much. My spouse and I finished eating and the waitstaff noticed from across the restaurant and came to check on us, collect plates if finished, and returned with boxes. I call them waitstaff cause well it is more appropriate, even if it is not the most correct definition. They aren't the typical servers. And I like this! Very laid back, just enjoy the food, enjoy friends and family time! Now to the food. The bolognese pasta: perfect salt ratio, TRUE thick cut al-dente pasta, very flavorful! The turkey club: personally would call it a BLT STACKED with turkey, toasted bread, aioli like spread, side of sweet potatoes perfectly cut keeping the potato softness but having the nice crunchy. The sweet tea is not just sweet it's SWEET. I did not think a tea could be sweeter than McDonald's but this is. Honestly a good pairing with the bolognese, an odd combination but good. Now the only downside: the restaurant was at a good volume level, and I loved the idea of live music. But it went from a good noise level to me having to read my spouse's lips. Tip to the company, and the musicians, turn down the speakers a little and turn up the vocals. Heard more strumming and was left guessing at the lyrics. read more

This most recent five star review of one of my favorite small businesses is way overdue! During Snowmageddon in February 2021 my lovie and I were starving! we had no power for the prior 36 hours and we thought we died and went to heaven when DeVivo's was open for business and serving patrons as best as they could when the rest of the community was without heat, electric, water what have you! To say that was the best burger I've ever had in my entire life would be an understatement! A lot of people may think they're taking a risk by ordering a burger in an otherwise Italian CENTRIC menu but it's one of the hidden gems at DeVivos and it's made with TLC & flame broiled perfection. My family and I have literally tried everything on the menu and it's all scrumptious! Remember to save room for dessert - the strawberry cake is a show stopper as is their red velvet cake! The whole dining experience is made that much more enjoyable because the DeVivo brothers have hired a bunch of young, clean-cut & friendly teenagers serving us and placing the orders for the patrons and it's great entertainment watching them hustle out the orders, laugh with one another and keep the place tidy & inviting. It's been a few years since my first rating of this restaurant and I'm happy to say I still love this place. We typically go on the weekends and enjoy the live entertainment but lunches are fantastic too. Great atmosphere and super pleasant employees. Please note that this place isn't large. Seating is limited and it's popular so you may have to wait a bit on the weekend. Frequently the owners will come out to chat and check on the food. I know that this happens at some other places but these guys really want to know how things are going. They stop to chat and get to know you a bit. I have yet to eat something I didn't like here. My wife's go to is the Greek salad and I enjoy the chicken parm sandwich with sweet potato fries but everything is good. If you have a sweet tooth then you'll love the desserts. Cake, brownies, cookies, etc. just keep in mind the portions are large so you may want to split it with someone! Overall this is a solid five stars. Great food, good atmosphere and fantastic service. I've been on this fish taco kick lately, so when a friend suggested meeting here for dinner, I was not overly excited. I recall Devivo having a salmon on the menu, but nothing like a taco. Well imagine my surprise, and delight, when I saw this: "Fish Tacos - Fresh Whitefish (Your choice of Grilled or Blackened) topped with Cilantro, Green Cabbage & Sour Cream Sauce served with Black Beans $12 *Blackened served with Chipotle Mayonnaise." Of course I had to bite, and I was not disappointed. Three fish tacos, grilled, with a very tasty fish. To make things even better, several types of hot sauce to choose from. Perfect. Thuy had the "FLAT IRON STEAK 8oz Angus Choice Cut seared to a Moist & Tender Center served with Broccoli & Mashed Potatoes $17." Also very good. And they got the "medium rare" request part right too, something Thuy is very particular about. Also worth noting is that there was live music on this night (Thursday 8/18/16). A young women, with a keyboard, provided the perfect background music. Not too loud, a mix of newer and older tunes. Quite the nice addition. Man o man this place is de-LISH!! I came here on very short notice for a lunch appointment and was pleasantly surprised by every aspect of DeVivo Bros Eatery. The dining room is light and open and welcoming. The staff member who met us at the door found out we were first timers and helped us with sincere enthusiasm. DeVivo Bros has counter service, but they offer menus at the door which I found convenient. We sat down at a small table by the window and enjoyed looking through the menus. Even though strictly speaking they don't serve the tables, the staff came by and asked if we needed help with the menu and offered suggestions. It's the best of both worlds, table service wise. I settled on the Bolognese pasta, my daughter the Half sandwich and salad, with the Stella and the chop salad, and we split some sweet potato fries. The texture of the sweet potato fries was amazing, crispy and soft, firm, but moist. They were served with a chipotle mayo that was perfectly suited for dipping. Bolognese pasta is a pretty simple dish, rigatoni with meat sauce. But the flavor was fantastic. The Stella was also very very good, savory and nicely balanced with a buttered, panfried sourdough bun. This is a sandwich that is deliciously messy. I'm trying to avoid desserts, but at the counter they had several that called to me. The one that finally diluted my resolve was the Brookie Bar. This is a brownie, a layer of caramel, a chocolate chip cookie, and an Oreo cookie all in one dessert. I actually tried to order half of one and the girl behind the counter laughed at me! I couldn't finish it but will enjoy the other half later. Right now, I'm in sugar shock. We were in the area for my daughter's dance competition, so I picked this place. There were 6 of us. Its a pretty small place, but they were very friendly and accommodating. Most of us had pasta, which was plentiful and delicious! My mom's turkey club was too big for her to finish, and the lentil soup was excellent. We were all too full for dessert, which looked PHENOMENAL, lots of cakes, brownies, cookue bars, etc. If you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. read more

During Covid they stepped up and made sure they always had smiling faces running to go orders to the curb. The brothers are two of the kindest and hardest working restauranteurs I have ever met. Fun for dinner, lunch or breakfast. Always hits it outta the park. We have used the for catering for our daughters wedding and will be using them again for our combo Mother's Day and my birthday party this weekend. Our first visit to DeVivo Bros was for my husbands bday brunch. You grab a menu and stand in line. Once we got to the person taking our order we were surprised at just how unfriendly and unwelcoming she was. Truly surprised and it just got worse. We said it was our first time in and said it was husbands bday and pointed at him. Nothing ... then I ordered and daughter ordered - we both had questions about the items being ordered and answers were short and not too helpful. Then we asked about cake and if there was a German chocolate cake bc that's bday boys fave and she looked and said "doesn't look like it - I guess it's your unlucky day"... who says that to someone on their bday! She never acknowledged it was his bday and we said it 3 times and then said it's "your unlucky day" just hit way wrong!! None of us felt welcomed there by this person! Sat down / food came out fast and was plentiful and good. Other service people were friendly. My suggestion would be to have a more customer focused / welcoming person as the Face of your small business ... it truly makes a difference!! read more

This little place is so good and great for a home cooked meal. I usually get the pesto pasta but I had things to do so opted for the sandwich. So good.
