Today wasn't a good day at DeVivo. Went for breakfast and ordered the eggs, sausage and peppers. The first few bites were good until I reached the produce label left on the red pepper despite being chopped and then cooked. The young lady that was stopping by tables asking how everything was tasting didn't do more than a "oh my goodness". Thought for certain that she would ask to remake the meal or offer to buy the meal but that didn't happen. That's a shame. I left the remainder of the meal. Couldn't eat anymore. As I sat there not eating I looked around the dining room. The dining room is dirty and needs a good cleaning. The floors are in need of a deep cleaning/scrubbing. The wainscoting walls have food spots on them from floor level to halfway up. The white curtains are gross with food stains and black dirt marks. The vents for the A/C are chock full of heavy thick dust. As I sat at the table I couldn't help but wonder about the sanitary and food prep standards in the kitchen. And how those standards, or lack thereof, have spilled over into the dining room. read more

The service is fast, they got my complicated order correct, the food came out really hot (a sign that it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp), the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my family, and every single thing that we ordered was amazing. This little place is so good and great for a home cooked meal. I usually get the pesto pasta but I had things to do so opted for the sandwich. So good. And they got those French fries with the crispy yum yum coating that are killer. I'm picky about my meatloaf and I will definitely order this again in the future! Don't forget a fresh baked dessert! I love this place but today it missed the mark. I ordered the chopped salad. It was like the salad had been in the fridge, pre made a few days ago. Some of the lettuce was brown and some of it looked like it had gotten a little frozen. The tomatoes were totally inedible. They were soggy and also seemed to have been in a very cold place. The salad had very little flavor. It was truly a disappointment. I will go back but I hope this isn't indicative of their quality of food now. read more

Dear Californian, this is a homie italian restaurant. Their ambiance is relaxing, great presentation. We ordered calamati, caprese, eggplant spaghetti w marinara sauce, lunch special salmon and carbonara. I can't really compare the Italian food here & Bay Area, coz it has its own uniqueness. Man o man this place is de-LISH!! I came here on very short notice for a lunch appointment and was pleasantly surprised by every aspect of DeVivo Bros Eatery. The dining room is light and open and welcoming. The staff member who met us at the door found out we were first timers and helped us with sincere enthusiasm. DeVivo Bros has counter service, but they offer menus at the door which I found convenient. We sat down at a small table by the window and enjoyed looking through the menus. Even though strictly speaking they don't serve the tables, the staff came by and asked if we needed help with the menu and offered suggestions. It's the best of both worlds, table service wise. I settled on the Bolognese pasta, my daughter the Half sandwich and salad, with the Stella and the chop salad, and we split some sweet potato fries. The texture of the sweet potato fries was amazing, crispy and soft, firm, but moist. They were served with a chipotle mayo that was perfectly suited for dipping. Bolognese pasta is a pretty simple dish, rigatoni with meat sauce. But the flavor was fantastic. The Stella was also very very good, savory and nicely balanced with a buttered, panfried sourdough bun. This is a sandwich that is deliciously messy. I'm trying to avoid desserts, but at the counter they had several that called to me. The one that finally diluted my resolve was the Brookie Bar. This is a brownie, a layer of caramel, a chocolate chip cookie, and an Oreo cookie all in one dessert. I actually tried to order half of one and the girl behind the counter laughed at me! I couldn't finish it but will enjoy the other half later. Right now, I'm in sugar shock. We had a lovely lunch here. We used to frequent the southlake location years ago and was disappointed they closed. We found out about the original location in Keller and was very happy we decided to go. Our food was fresh and delicious. Only slight complaint is the relentless offer from staff to clear our plates while we were clearly still eating. The restaurant wasn't even crowded. It was clear we had plenty of food on our plates. They need stop interrupting every few minutes to clear plates. I'll still be back. They were just young kids who were trying to be helpful. read more

Oh my gosh! What a cute little place!!! We are visiting family in Texas and they suggested we go here for our brunch date, and we're so glad we came!!! First off, they extended their breakfast cut off for us (my SIL and I were running late, but the guys had already gotten us a table) Then we ordered and they brought us out our food so quickly! They continued to check on us and make sure we were comfortable. Great friendly customer service. The food we got was: biscuits and gravy. Blueberry omelette French toast We loved our food! This is by far one of my favorite places to eat. We come here when we want a "cheat meal". Pasta Diablo. Get it. Also, you cannot go wrong with any of the desserts that they serve. Live music tens to be on point, and just fits with my personality. The owners are nice, and it's not uncommon to see them hanging around working or overseeing. The only thing I wish they would change is to maybe do a date night where they wait on you, instead of ordering at the register. :) read more

We split the biscuits with gravy then she had the chicken and waffles, I had the Benedict. I really liked the batter on her chicken and the waffle was really good too! My dish was really not very good. My ciabatta was soggy, the marinara was very sweet and one of my eggs was over hard. Be ready to wait in line to order and then be assigned your table. Really great place with really great people. I would definitely recommend. I do feel they should be paid more. I spoke with some of the workers and the pod system doesn't always allow people to tip. Regardless, they are always kind and hardworking. They seem to really focus on customer service and they excel!! Never had a bad experience and the food is great too!! Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch with friends. The ambiance was very nice. There wasn't too much seatings inside, but there was a decent amount of seatings outside. I thought it was cool that we ordered first & pay and then sit and they'll bring us our food. I got there about 15 mins after my friends, they already got their meals as I ran inside and ordered. I already checked out the menu before heading to the restaurant so I knew what I wanted to try out. I ordered the pulled pork eggs benedict. I also ordered the chicken waffle to go. I wanted some cakes, but thought I can just go back in later to grab a piece to go. But by the time I was ready to go, the line for food had grew and it would had been a long wait for a slice of cake. It's a bummer, because the cakes looked delicious!!! The pulled pork eggs benedict was huge. It was delicious and flavorful. I definitely recommend it. The chicken waffle was okay. I ordered it for my boyfriend, so we ate it hours later, so it just tasted okay. There wasn't anything too special about it. But overall, I would recommend others to go here. It was delicious. This is a top place for filling meals. The menu is the size of a newspaper sheet, one side breakfast offerings with lots to choose from, the other lunch and dinner. Lots of salads, hot sandwiches, combos and pasta. Most items made from scratch and to order. Very flavorful food with cakes or brownie creations to top it off. I wanted to like this restaurant; it was right down the shopping center where I was shopping. Right off the bat we were "in trouble" because we sat down before we ordered. "You can do it this one time" what am I 10 hrs old? Put a sign up at the door! I saw several other people that also got scolded. So you order at the counter and they bring you your food. The food was really good and hey have lunch specials where you can get 1/2 salad and sandwich. Great pastries. It must be popular because it was full inside and out when we left. We tried this spot last week for brunch. It was GREAT! I had the pork eggs Benedict, my husband got the chilaquiles, and we got a order of pancakes for my son. Everything was delicious! I also ordered the white chocolate cheesecake for my husbands birthday and picked it up two days later. We all really enjoyed the cheesecake. It was moist and just sweet enough. A lot of my friends in Keller have talked about this place. I've been wanting to come here but dang it I just like tacos soooo much. Anyway, I managed to find time to come here for lunch with my mother. We both got different dishes. Chipotle Mac n cheese Pesto pasta Caprese appetizer. Flavor- very good! Flavorful unlike other Italian venues I've tried. However, over salted (both pasta dishes were). So that kinda ruined it for us both, neither of us were able to finish our pasta. Also, it would be nice if they offered angel hair pasta. I looked this place up before coming here and took a look at their menu, I saw lunch angel hair pasta. I asked the cashier to substitute the pasta in and she said they didn't offer it, and had NEVER offered angel hair. So just a heads up to anyone who has trouble swallowing thick pasta noodles (lapband patient). Overall I'd say this place was good, but not extraordinary like my friends seem to think. I may come back for the baked goods they have (wedding cookie was bomb) but it certainly won't be for the pasta. I'll stick with tacos lol read more

Food was aaaaaamazing! best calamari I have ever eaten in my life, spaghetti bolognese with homemade paroadelle pasta was perfect, Diablo pasta was delicious, eggplant Parmesan was crunchy creamy deliciousness and the Cuban sandwich and soup de jour left nothing to be desired. We followed all of that with homemade carrot cake, chocolate cake and cookies! this place doesn't look like much when you drive up on it in a strip center, even upon entering we were surprised we had to order at the counter...none of that mattered, everything was wonderful. friendly staff, some of the best food I have had in a restaurant in years and nice ambiance. if I lived in the area, this would be my go to spot!
