Devil Dawgs is a fantastic spot with super quick service after ordering from the kiosk. I ordered my very first Chicago dog here after moving to the area, and it was exactly as expected, no nonsense, put together well and tasted great with a light bite. I also picked up the five-piece chicken tender box; the tenders were on the leaner side and came with a healthy portion of fries. While the fries were a little bland on their own, they were still great vehicles for all the available sauces. To top it off, I got the lavender lemon butter cookie milkshake--and it was delicious! I opted to get it without the whipped cream since that felt like overkill, and it perfectly nailed the flavor profile of a rich lavender lemon pastry. If you're eating on site, they have free water cups by a filtered water station to help wash it all down. Overall a great quick stop for a bite if you're in the area. read more

Sunday I visited this restaurant and let me tell you its a must visit. The staff are amazing, the place is roomy and clean. The hotdogs are delicious and big. My wife had the Big Chicago Dawg with fries that we shared and a chocolate shake. I had the Blue Demon Dawg it was so good with the sauerkraut and spicy mustard so good, I had a chocolate shake too. As we sat there and had our lunch we heard music and noise coming from the back of the restaurant and to our surprise they had a drag show going on and you can take your lunch back to watch. This review is for an take-out order so I am going to start with the bad, which is not on Devil Dawgs, but something to considered. Me and The Doctor were feeling peckish and I did not want to cook or eat Mexican again (although I loves me some Mexican and can literally eat it every day) so we decided on burgers. I knew Devil Dawgs had opened in the space where the old Reza use to be. We decided to order through Yelp for take out because I was not going out in that crazy wind and cold on that particular day. The Doctor got the 5 Pc Strips w/Fries, and I got the Backyard Slider, Chicago Dog, Bag "O" Fries, and and Espresso shake. The Backyard Slider was good but I made the mistake of doing a double patty when a single was enough based on the size of the burger. Other than that, the burger was quite tasty. The hot dog was of course just as good as the original location and the fries were good. The Doctor said that there were six strips of chicken instead of five, so no complaints on his end. He said the strips were nicely fried and had a good flavor. The only problem with the order was that the delivery person did not follow the directions as I had stated I wanted the food dropped off to me. I was given a delivery time of 45 mins, but the food got here quicker than that, but there was no call, simply a text that I saw 7 mins after the fact. So the delivery person just left the food on the sideway by our front door. Fortunately I got downstairs to get it before someone walked off with it. The food was lukewarm, but a quick trip to the microwave fixed it. Surprisingly the quality of the food was not compromised. I am a big tipper as a rule, but not a fan of pre-tipping when it is a bad experience. The next time I order take out, I will not be leaving a tip, I will provide cash on delivery. I would like to do a dine-in experience to see what they did with the space, based on the reviews and some of the photos I have seen on Yelp. Stopped by the new location in Andersonville. I was excited to try it out because I've wanted to go their other locations for a while now. You'll order at the kiosk when you enter, but I believe you can order at the counter as well. They'll call your name when your order is ready. I ordered the single Chicago dog. The kiosk menu has the Big Chicago Dog at the top, but if you scroll further down, you'll be able to find the single which is smaller and cheaper. I really enjoyed the dog because it was packed with fresh ingredients and overall tasty. I believe we also got an order of Cajun fries. I think they were Cajun because there was a little kick to it. They came out hot and seemed freshly made. It was a good size to share with 2-3 people. I didn't realize they had chicken and burgers here until after I sat down. I've been waiting for this place to open for a long time. I went in to place my order at the kiosk which was simple and easy and allows you to really customize your order. As I waited for my food to be prepared, the place is a feast for the eyes from beautiful murals to funky seating to great chandeliers. My favorite spot is what I call the Gundam VIP area is off to the side and sort of private. As you wait for your order in the back dining room, there is a screen to let you know when your food is ready. I tried the Chicago style hot dog and the Maxwell St. Polish with a bag of a fresh cut fries. The Chicago style hot dog had a natural casing with a very delicate snack and it was delicious with all of the classic ingredients. The Maxwell St. Polish was my favorite. The juiciness of the sausage and the sweetness of the grilled onions, really pushed it over to the top for me. I also picked up an order for one of my coworkers, knowing that he had to pay the cheese curd tax if I bought his order back. The cheese curds were great with a light breading. The cooks, were so nice and hospitable. We ordered from the kiosk and everything went smoothly. I just wasn't a fan of the hot dog overall. My husband had a Chicago dog and I had a regular hotdog and added grilled onions and a pickle spear. The casing on the hotdog did have a nice pop, but then you couldn't really bite through the casing on the next bites, it was just too thick and the inside of the hotdog just came out. It was kinda gross imo. The bun also doesn't hold up to the toppings and was very soggy. My husband liked the slider. Das'about it! read more

Fantastic food, I had the single slider, cheddar dog, and an order of fries. Everything was hot and fresh. Friendly people behind the counter providing fast service. We just went in to this location and ordered a plain burger with 4 patties and a chili cheese dog with no cheese (because I am lactose intolerant). When they called my husbands name to grab our order, he checked in the bag and there was no burger, so he had to ask for the burger we ordered. Then we got home and I go to open my chili dog, and it's a hot dog with bacon and cheese on it. No chili, and packed full of cheese even though I saw it come up on the screen as she typed it as "chili dog with no cheese". Highly disappointing. We called to let them know about the mistake and they said they would remake it for us but we would have to come in person or they could refund us if we had the receipt. Well the issue with that is we have somewhere to be so we were trying to get a quick meal, and we don't have time to go back over there, and they never gave us a receipt so we can't even get a refund because the receipt they need they never actually provided to us. This was my first and only chance to have a quick meal today and because of their carelessness, not only am I out $10 for a hotdog I can't even eat but also I'll have to go hungry for the rest of the night. Definitely not ideal and very frustrating. You would think being in person and ordering directly you wouldn't have such major issues just ordering 2 items. And when I talked to them on the phone they tried to say it was very busy when we ordered. Incorrect, there were maybe 6 people in the restaurant total including us. So be careful if you have allergies, clearly they don't care to make sure they are making your food right. read more

Stopped by to get some tater tots and got a slider and chocolate shake too. The slider was AMAZING, sad I only got one. The shake is HUGE and quite tasty, and of the tater tots hit the spot. Staff was friendly, lots of table inside. Will definitely be back!! read more

Terrible service even for a fast food restaurant. I went on a slow day and they had a hard time making the correct food that people ordered. The staff must be new because they had a hard time following directions. I hope it gets better. Food is 2/5 better off going to red hot ranch or McDonald's honestly. read more
