    Chicago Dog

Stopped by the new location in Andersonville. I was excited to try it out because I've wanted to go their other locations for a while now. You'll order at the kiosk when you enter, but I believe you can order at the counter as well. They'll call your name when your order is ready. I ordered the single Chicago dog. The kiosk menu has the Big Chicago Dog at the top, but if you scroll further down, you'll be able to find the single which is smaller and cheaper. I really enjoyed the dog because it was packed with fresh ingredients and overall tasty. I believe we also got an order of Cajun fries. I think they were Cajun because there was a little kick to it. They came out hot and seemed freshly made. It was a good size to share with 2-3 people. I didn't realize they had chicken and burgers here until after I sat down. I'll have to try for the next visit!

I've been waiting for this place to open for a long time. I went in to place my order at the kiosk which was simple and easy and allows you to really customize your order. As I waited for my food to be prepared, the place is a feast for the eyes from beautiful murals to funky seating to great chandeliers. My favorite spot is what I call the Gundam VIP area is off to the side and sort of private. As you wait for your order in the back dining room, there is a screen to let you know when your food is ready. I tried the Chicago style hot dog and the Maxwell St. Polish with a bag of a fresh cut fries. The Chicago style hot dog had a natural casing with a very delicate snack and it was delicious with all of the classic ingredients. The Maxwell St. Polish was my favorite. The juiciness of the sausage and the sweetness of the grilled onions, really pushed it over to the top for me. I also picked up an order for one of my coworkers, knowing that he had to pay the cheese curd tax if I bought his order back. The cheese curds were great with a light breading. I really enjoyed the service, the food and the dining area. Reminder this place is cashless.

This is where I had my first Chicago dog and it was well worth the wait! You order at the kiosk (easy) The hot dog was done quickly so I wasn't waiting long. I ate at the restaurant because I just loved the atmosphere, the wall art looked so cool and edgy. This was definitely a cool and memorable place to go to!

There is outdoor seating under a pergola lined with semi-private planters, while the inside features a bar, high tops, low tops, and large booths. The music was upbeat, giving the space an elevated lounge vibe that pairs really well with the upholstered booths and vintage industrial design. I ordered the Wolf Burger, which is a whopping three-patty burger. That first bite was juicy and pure bliss--a total explosion of great flavors. It was a little messy (like all burgers with an egg), but the extra liquid was perfect for balancing the density of such a meaty burger. The soft bun soaked in a lot of those juices with each bite, intensifying the flavor as I ate more. The fries were thin and on the greasier side--not my personal favorite, but they worked alright as a vehicle for the sauce. Speaking of which, the chili aioli served with the fries was fantastic. We also got the mac and cheese, which hit a great balance between rich and creamy without feeling excessively wet. The boat it came in was a bit small, making it a little messy to scoop out with the serving spoon, but it was soooo good. Overall, it is absolutely a fantastic neighborhood place for comfort food and drinks with friends in a great space!

We popped in here for a quick bite before husband's show in Wrigleyville. It was pretty empty what we arrived and the overall ambiance feels sterile. It did pick up with more tables while we were there. I got the veggie version of the Little DMK and the Lazy Refresher mocktail. *I ordered fries for us to split, which is when the waitress warned me about the fries. I really appreciated the call out, but was surprised it wasn't on the menu itself. Husband got the patty melt and noted that the beef tasted very peppered. Both burgers were fine. My drink was a little sweet, but overall good. Staff was friendly and attentive, but even if I were in the neighborhood, I don't see it as a place we'd frequent.
