I come in here and ask for #10.... 8pc nugget and it's 7.99 or 8.99 and I'm getting charged 12 but ok she prolly made the mistake and gave me the 12pc. They did not give me no receipt or nothing so how am I supposed to know that they got my order wrong. keep calling for a 3pc chicken and why would I respond if asking for nuggets. Upon arrival my mom and I asked to use a coupon that she received and immediately was told that the amount is $1 more in the system... This didn't make sense because no matter what's in the system the manager has authority to override prices. Then the manager and employee continues to say the same thing about the coupon as if she didn't see the coupon amount in my mom's hand. Not only did this manager and employee refuse to take the coupon they also immediately told us the restrooms were for customers as if we wasn't a customer. The registry attendant refused to take my order and tried to argue with me about how combos work (when I didn't try to order a combo meal). I had to explicitly tell her I didn't care how much it cost and to just ring up the items as individual items. She cursed at me in Spanish under her breathe as she rang the items up. I wasn't looking to add or take away items for any amount of cash or savings. She could have simply mentioned there were combos available and then moved on when I said I wasn't interested. This is KFC, not fine dining. So now that we have that out of the way, I will say this location has improved. I like the new decor, kind of slick. The dining area was clean and well lit. It's smaller in size, so I am assuming that the store next door must have pushed their wall over to get more square footage. But it works and looks nice. I never had a problem with service at this one and they were always good about giving me fresh, hot stuff when I asked. KFC isn't great chicken, but when I get a craving for that cole slaw and those biscuits, I go there. Also The Heiress Apparent wanted those Smoky Mountain BBQ tenders, so this is where were went for dinner. Didn't try those because I don't trust too much of what she eats because she likes very hot stuff. They looked ok, not sure I would order them as they looked sticky and sweet...kind of like candy coated. But La J loved them. Chicken was hot and good. I love the $5 pack that they have....just enough food to fill me up and it comes with a nice warm soft chocolate chip cookie. Not sure if that is the way it is served at other locations, but they do here. The cashiers wore mean, i enter to the lobby and look at me with a not a good face I was gonna leave but I decide to stay I said that I want spicy chicken and they told me they don't have. I was like okey then I said a want only legs and they said no we can do that, y said a want double fries instead of the mash and they said they can't to that neither. I came here for lunch and had a great meal. The place looked empty except for a few people eating in. There are some cool pictures on the wall of Coloniel Sanders. Check out the picture if him at Disneyland. Nice, classy tribute to him! The cashier took my order and the food came out in a matter of minutes. I had the three piece chicken tenders with a medium drink, mash potatoes, a biscuit, bbq sauce, and a gooey chocolate chip cookie. Never go to this KFC!!!!!!!! I pre ordered online because it is pandemic times. My order was ready at 1245. I arrived around 1250. When I entered the store to get my food, one lady was at the counter taking orders while the other 2 employees in the back were packing. Since there were 3 people in line, I went to the side to ask for my pre ordered and pre paid food. After going back and forth with the lady in the back, I was asked to wait in line, behind 3 ppl. I preface my review by acknowledging that this is a fast-food place in a very culturally diverse neighborhood; I'm not expecting fine-dining quality. Keeping that in mind, every time I have ordered food here (directly at the counter or for pick-up from Grubhub), something is wrong. Food is either missing, is in the incorrect quantity, or is cold. It's clear that English is not the first language of the workers, so it's very hard to explain to them what the issue is. Equally frustrating to have to stop, open up your bag, and check your entire order because the likelihood of it being wrong is high. Their remodel interior is super nice; I'll give them credit for that. KFC has stepped up its game in terms of interior aesthetic. Management just needs to coach up the workers and encourage them to slow down. read more

He calls his manager up we explain to them a 2nd time they both got a bad attitude and were unprofessional, the order was replaced which was done reluctantly so, now I've been here 3 wks from California.... DO NOT EAT HERE One star is too much for this place. I have never been treated so poorly by staff for just asking for basic services. After buying a family meal, my family and I sat down to enjoy our meal. I approached the register and asked if they had any plates we could use. The workers said yes and asked how many we needed, I asked for 10 plates (we had a party of 8) so that we could use the extra plates for bones. Instead of just telling us that couldn't give us any extra plates, the manager replied with," 10 plates for your party of 8? No you can have 8". Despite his absolute lack off professionalism, I explained that I just wanted some extra plates for bones to which he replied with," Well then we're going to charge you for it". Despite being utterly shocked at his rude tone I just said ok and asked for the 8 plates. I guess this proved that they were not going to get any extra money out of me so then he reluctantly agreed to give me 10 plates stating that," they wouldn't be doing that next time" as if I would ever come back. The next encounter happened with another employee who may or may not also be a manager. My family had witnessed her shouting "push!" at multiple customers trying to open the bathroom door so we assumed that we just had to push hard to open the bathroom door. After multiple attempts to do this I decided to ask the employee for help. I asked her if a light would shine through the bottom of the door if there was a person in there, but because she was working she didn't hear me and asked me to repeat the question. Instead of repeating my question I decided to instead ask if we needed to ask her to open the bathroom door because this would lead to a solution to our problem faster. Once again I was utterly shocked with the response I received. "Yeah I need to open the bathroom door don't you see I'm working and busy so I couldn't open the door until now?". At this point I was pissed off and out of patience. I told her to open the bathroom door and left to tell my family they could now use the bathroom. After leaving, my family members informed me that throughout our entire meal they noticed that there was always an employee up front watching us eat and who would go around the counter to watch us refill our drinks. This information pretty much confirmed my suspicion that my asian family and I were racially discriminated against. I am beyond disgusted that this happened. Having worked in the food industry myself I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service and professionalism this location had. I had a few issues with this kfc. I ordered 3 chicken littles and a large mashed potato and gravy. He charged me for two small mashed potatoes instead of one large. Then I had to wait about 10 minutes for them to start my food. There were children behind the counter with the workers. I don't care if they were there for only two minutes, kids have germs. When I finally got my meal I received "2 small mashed potatoes". I checked it and I wanted a large so I told her to please make me a large mashed potatoes. She argues that two smells make a large. Rather than actually READ them and understand, the counter staff engaged in arguing and using a stick to point out the special (different than online) on the order board behind her. This started with a question about the online promo offering 8 piece AND 8 tender fill up with sides for $29.99. The counter person insisted that it did not exist and when I showed her the app she said that means either/or not both. Clearly the promotion is for both. I just went here for the first time yesterday. I was so distraught over the KFC on Broadway leaving years ago. We didn't have a KFC in any nearby neighborhood north of Belmont until now. I went in, and met either the Manager or the Owner. He was working the register and I think the guy getting my Chicken was his son or something. He greeted me, asked me what I wanted. I had the 7 piece thighs and legs for $6.99. I luv KFC Original Recipe and that much chicken for $7 is a SALE to me. He had ran out of thighs and legs in Original Recipe so I told him I'd wait. It was a matter of 10 minutes or less that my chicken was freshly cooked and ready to take. He threw in 2 more pieces of chicken as a courtesy for my waiting. It was clean, wasn't any vagabonds hanging outside or sitting inside making the place really icky icky ewl. The people eating inside looked presentable. I wouldn't personally eat in there at it seem to look like more of a get-your-food-and-leave thing. But this beats going over to the KFC on Western and Fargo (I think) to get food. I like the customer service. Very attentive. He smiled when he said hi, he was quick with taking the order, he was really kind. You don't get to see that much these days. And he said that if the chicken wasn't to my liking just bring it back and he'll make another batch for me. KFC and Church's Chicken are my 2 favs for chicken when I don't cook it myself. If you miss KFC and you live in Uptown/Lakeview/Edgewater, I strongly recommend giving this new place (opened in January) a try. Just get there before 9 pm, as they close at 10. read more
