First and foremost, Kent is extremely professional; his quotes are easy to understand, he listens to your questions, he shows up on time and he works diligently. Last year I went about getting quotes to have both bathrooms gutted and remodeled at my parent's house. My parents are both elderly and just couldn't figure out how to even go about finding a contractor, so I made the calls and got quotes from some contractors, including Kent. I first had the master bathroom remodeled, but didn't use Kent. That contractor did a good job, but they sub contracted all the work to a few guys who didn't show up on time and sometimes wouldn't show up at all when promised. Keep in mind that I was managing this remodel while at my own house, so when my Aunt (who lives with my parents) called me to tell me the (sub)contractor didn't show up, I was pretty ticked off. The remodel of the 6 x 6 master bath did wrap up after about 2.5 weeks, but included the contractor needing to come back to fix some items that the sub contractor failed to touch up or complete. Now onto the 4 X 6 guest bath remodeled by Kent. I contacted Kent and immediately asked him if he subcontracted his work and he said "no" and that he would be onsite for every step of the remodel. Kent fit my parent's guest remodel into his schedule and told me it would take 5 days. It took 4! Kent had help, but he was there every step of the way (as reported by my Aunt) and he worked fast and efficiently. The subway tile work over the bathtub, including a nook, turned out beautifully, as did the vinyl plank wood flooring. Kent's focus on doing the work quickly and doing it well was very much appreciated, as my Aunt now has her own remodeled bathroom to use. A Quick Follow Up: I go over to clean my parent's bathrooms regularly and noticed some buildup around the base of the toilet, on the vinyl flooring. I contacted Kent and he willingly went over and replaced the toilet's wax ring seal. It probably isn't even the seal (my parents are elderly and peeing gets more difficult when you're immobile), but I greatly appreciate Kent's willingness no assist me and my parents. *Tip* Contact Kent for your bathroom remodel. I think you'll find his straightforward way of communicating will leave you with no doubts on his ability to remodel your bathroom the way you want it done. read more

In summary, KENT ROCKS! We have come to Kent for multiple projects in four different residences over the past three years. He has consistently exceeded our expectations. If you want to get work from someone, your first priority should be to make sure they listen to you. This guy was talking over every conversation I would start. I have a whole house to remodel and wanted to start with a small project to see his work. I could not even explain my concerns because he had to interject to tell me that I did not know what I was talking about. Then he is too lazy to come out and give a free estimate. He suggested I take pictures and tell him what I want and send it via email! We had a not very complicated job to be done, which consisted basically in filling in a sunken tub and install a jetted tub, along with 12" x 24" travertine tiles. Kent gave me the estimate based on a few pics and all the measurements and we agreed on the time to start about (1 month before the service started, as I had to wait for the tub to arrive). In the meantime Ken came to check on the price for doing something completely different, but we ended up going with the initial idea. The job started and finished on schedule and both my wife and I were really pleased with the result. We are now remodeling a condo, and we started with the upstairs bathroom. Since I'm not good with any type of plumbing or concrete work, I came upon Details through another Yelp search. Turns out Kent is kinda out of the handyman business and does full on remodels now. I was very pleased! He arrived on time for our estimate and was very straightforward and professional about what he could do for us. We agreed on a start date, and spent a few e-mails adjusting the work contract until we had a firm agreement. He can do whatever you need done, and if there are items you want to do to save money, he's fine with that as well. He and his crew had the bathroom demo and drawn out in a day, and already had completed the plumbing changes and drywall repairs. He called and walked me through some of the previously unseen issues to see how I wanted to proceed. They then moved on to making a concrete shower pan, installing new tile throughout the shower and floor. We purchased our own bathroom vanity and put it together and he installed it. Within no time at all, we have a new, spectacular master bathroom. Throughout the whole process, he kept the area clean and more importantly, kept me updated on how everything was working out. Kent has been doing various home repairs for our family for about 10 years. Sure, he can fix a sink or hang a ceiling fan, but he has done so much more for us! We had a leak in our attic cause the ceiling to collapse in our daughters bedroom.
