I can't stop staring at my bathroom, I love it so much! Kent did a full master remodel for us. The project was done earlier than quoted and the precision is spectacular. His tiler Ramon was able to work with the glass subway tiles I picked which also look incredible. I also appreciate the extra step taken every day to cover our floors and furniture to prevent dust and dirt from the work being done. Looking forward to having my downstairs bathroom done next! Note: the glass was installed by another contractor after the project was completed. read more

Hired this company for a Master Bathroom remodel. Job included, demo existing bathroom, remodel the shower, install new vanity counters and install a standalone tub. Owner, Kent Hudson was awesome! His plumbing and tile team were very meticulous and professional. He quoted a very fair price and laid out a detailed plan and timeline. One thing we really appreciated was his punctuality and extensive clean up after each day's work. Were it not for having to wait on Ferguson's order from Kohler, this job would have been completed in four weeks. We are thrilled with the results!! read more

We needed a semi bathroom remodel done and called Kent. He bid based on photos, which was great. New vanity top, faucet, sheet mirror removal and new mirror install, drywall repair, spackling, texturizing and paint. Kent was so patient through the process when my vanity top was MIA in shipping. The project turned out great and we're are thrilled with the clean, updated look in our old bathroom. read more

Details Remodeling - a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower - General Contractors Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I'm typically not one to leave reviews, but I feel this is well deserved. Kent remodeled our master bathroom and I honestly can't find anything negative to say. He was transparent about pricing, scheduling, and project timeline. He is so considerate, always on time, and truly has your best interest at heart. He has incredible attention to detail and clearly spends time vetting his subcontractors. Both the plumber and tiler he used were just as friendly and skilled as himself. He was such a pleasure to work with and we will definitely use him again when we have another remodel project to complete. Thank you so much Kent! read more

I hired Kent to do a full remodel of a small bathroom that I had been putting off for a couple of years. There was an extensive amount of work required. The walls needed to be repaired, a new shower needed to be built, and I had a picky set of requirements to make a lot of things work in a small space. Kent was easy to work with throughout the bidding and contract process. He showed up on time every day and communicated extremely effectively throughout the process. His prices were fair. What impressed me most about Kent was his ability to deal with the small things that inevitably pop up on every house project. The sink I installed needed a special kit to be hung and we had to do quite a bit of on-site problem solving to figure out a good shower configuration. Everything we came up with works great and I couldn't be happier. Can't recommend Details Remodeling enough. read more

First and foremost, Kent is extremely professional; his quotes are easy to understand, he listens to your questions, he shows up on time and he works diligently. Last year I went about getting quotes to have both bathrooms gutted and remodeled at my parent's house. My parents are both elderly and just couldn't figure out how to even go about finding a contractor, so I made the calls and got quotes from some contractors, including Kent. I first had the master bathroom remodeled, but didn't use Kent. That contractor did a good job, but they sub contracted all the work to a few guys who didn't show up on time and sometimes wouldn't show up at all when promised. Keep in mind that I was managing this remodel while at my own house, so when my Aunt (who lives with my parents) called me to tell me the (sub)contractor didn't show up, I was pretty ticked off. The remodel of the 6 x 6 master bath did wrap up after about 2.5 weeks, but included the contractor needing to come back to fix some items that the sub contractor failed to touch up or complete. Now onto the 4 X 6 guest bath remodeled by Kent. I contacted Kent and immediately asked him if he subcontracted his work and he said "no" and that he would be onsite for every step of the remodel. Kent fit my parent's guest remodel into his schedule and told me it would take 5 days. It took 4! Kent had help, but he was there every step of the way (as reported by my Aunt) and he worked fast and efficiently. The subway tile work over the bathtub, including a nook, turned out beautifully, as did the vinyl plank wood flooring. Kent's focus on doing the work quickly and doing it well was very much appreciated, as my Aunt now has her own remodeled bathroom to use. A Quick Follow Up: I go over to clean my parent's bathrooms regularly and noticed some buildup around the base of the toilet, on the vinyl flooring. I contacted Kent and he willingly went over and replaced the toilet's wax ring seal. It probably isn't even the seal (my parents are elderly and peeing gets more difficult when you're immobile), but I greatly appreciate Kent's willingness no assist me and my parents. *Tip* Contact Kent for your bathroom remodel. I think you'll find his straightforward way of communicating will leave you with no doubts on his ability to remodel your bathroom the way you want it done. read more

I am reticent to leave a glowing review, because I have another bathroom to do, and I don't want Kent to raise his rates or have less availability. Kidding aside, top marks. I had basically destroyed our master bath trying to DIY a remodel, and Kent undid all my terrible work, then redid it; special thanks to Ramon, whose tile work is exemplary. Details is somewhat more expensive than your low bids will be, but you get what you pay for. read more

We were so happy with the work Kent and his team did for us in 2018 we decided to have him come back and redo all the tile on both our Fireplace & Patio. I needed someone who could do a variety of tasks at my house to get it ready for sale. I've had good luck with people/services I've found through Yelp and Kent was no different. He came to my house at least 3 times. He installed closet doors, fixed drywall, tiled a vanity, hung mirrors & more. He showed up on time, got things done quickly, was reasonably priced, couldn't ask for more than that. Great to find someone who's licensed and can get multiple things done fast. read more

Kent's team did a great job on my bathtub remodel! They fixed a plumbing issue with my tub and did a beautiful job with the tile and shower nook. This was my first rental remodel and Kent was extremely patient with me in explaining everything and answering all of my questions. Kent also helped me get all my interior walls skimcoated to get rid of the ugly knockdown texture and popcorn ceiling. Kent's bid is very clear and breaks down the cost upfront which I appreciated. Kent and his team did a great job on our master bath remodel project. We were very glad that we selected Details Remodeling for our project. In summary, KENT ROCKS! We have come to Kent for multiple projects in four different residences over the past three years. He has consistently exceeded our expectations. We have also referred Ken to at least a dozen of our friends--who have each reported back to us experiences that went well beyond their expectations. What we specifically appreciate about Kent: 1) He is responsive--returning our e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. 2) He is a good listener--making a concerted effort to listen to what we aim to do, and why we want to do it...but (and this is important) being sure to interject, when appropriate, with his experienced and professional opinion. On a number of occasions, what we had first asked of Ken turned out not to be the best way to address the situation at hand. Kent opened our minds to a more efficient and/or a less expensive approach, or even a different solution entirely that we would have never considered. 3) His estimates are spot-on. We have never been surprised. Kent presents us with and explains options for labor and materials so that we can make an informed selection of the level of each that best fits our budget for the project. We really appreciate the fact that he has been willing to provide estimates and assist us with both very small, hourly projects, as well as large, long-term projects. 4) He and any contractors he brings into our residences have been on-time, courteous, conscientious, and CLEAN! Even during a very significant dusty, dirty kitchen demolition, Kent and his team took great care to clean-up as best as possible at the end of each day, and to seal-off the work area with plastic so that dust and debris wouldn't migrate into other parts of the home. 5) We trust him. There have been plenty of times when Kent has guided us to a less expensive approach to completing a task. We can also trust that when he says that we need to consider a more complicated or more expensive approach, that it is truly in our best interest to take his advice. We trust Kent's work to the point that we are comfortable arranging for him to work in our own home, and in our tenants' homes, while we are traveling out-of-town--knowing that we will return home to find the work done properly, on-time, and within budget...and that we will have interacted with our tenants with the highest degree of courtesy and conscientiousness. read more

I own several rental properties in the Valley and have used Details Remodeling for several small repairs. My tenants said he showed up on time, took great care in keeping the area clean while he worked and was very professional. All together, Kent did drywall repair, small plumbing projects, small electrical repairs, one roof repair and installed some shelving in a closet. All the work was perfect. So then I tried Details Remodeling for a bathroom remodel. Kent took care of the entire project. Ripped out the old bathroom, put in new, tile, baseboards, new vanity, toilet, sink, re-routed the plumbing, moved the bathroom door over 12 inches... He did it all and it turned out amazing. I was tired of handyman services that when the guys show up you're like... I totally get why you're a handyman, cuz you couldn't possible get a job doing anything else. Not the case with Kent and his company. He delivers what he promises, comes in at what he said it would cost and he's great to work with. read more

I just finished my third home improvement project with Kent, Details Remodeling. Each time I work with Kent the end result is 10/10 quality. He is careful about my home while working, and cleans up behind himself 100%. He's straight up about his availability, and if you have to wait a couple weeks he's worth it. I've used Kent for demolition, drywall, electrical, minor plumbing, built-in shelving, and to tile my entire main floor. He has the right equipment, uses his time (and mine) well. I appreciate his use of email and texting for communications and photos of my ideas; it's convenient for me to respond around my work time and not have to schedule a time to be at the home for easy stuff like that. I'll continue to use Details Remodeling for work in my home and have already recommended him to my friends! read more

Kent and his team were amazing for my master bath remodel. So clean, friendly, and professional! Highly recommend!

If you want to get work from someone, your first priority should be to make sure they listen to you. This guy was talking over every conversation I would start. I have a whole house to remodel and wanted to start with a small project to see his work. I could not even explain my concerns because he had to interject to tell me that I did not know what I was talking about. Then he is too lazy to come out and give a free estimate. He suggested I take pictures and tell him what I want and send it via email! Really, I love technology but that just sounds like he is either lazy or he will drive price up once he see's job in person. read more

We had a not very complicated job to be done, which consisted basically in filling in a sunken tub and install a jetted tub, along with 12" x 24" travertine tiles. Kent gave me the estimate based on a few pics and all the measurements and we agreed on the time to start about (1 month before the service started, as I had to wait for the tub to arrive). In the meantime Ken came to check on the price for doing something completely different, but we ended up going with the initial idea. The job started and finished on schedule and both my wife and I were really pleased with the result. His price was also about 20% cheaper than the what contractors had estimated me, so I was really pleased with that. read more

Hiring Kent/Details Remodeling was the best decision we could have made. Kent is honest, straight-forward, responsive and does meticulous work. Unlike other contractors that have many jobs going at once and barely pay attention to your project, Kent focuses on the project at hand and has a clear plan for completing the project on time. Best of all - he does it in a very reasonable amount of time. He is very attentive and detail oriented. He remodeled our Master bathroom and our guest bathroom and both were done to perfection. He does a lot of work himself, and if he has a sub-contractor do something (like plumbing, drywall or tiling) you can be sure that their work is just as reliable and well-done as Kent's. Another bonus is that Kent allows you to purchase the materials for your project yourself which saves a considerable amount of money. All other quotes we received clearly marked up the materials to boost their profits. With Details we were able to afford better quality materials than if we had gone with someone else. Kent's estimate process is very transparent as well. He provides very detailed estimates for what is to be done. If the project changes, he gets your authorization before proceeding. At the end you receive a revised quote showing credits for things that didn't end up happening and the additions that you had agreed too. In summary Kent is a true professional who will strive to do a great job on every project that he takes on and I highly recommend him. read more

We are now remodeling a condo, and we started with the upstairs bathroom. Since I'm not good with any type of plumbing or concrete work, I came upon Details through another Yelp search. Turns out Kent is kinda out of the handyman business and does full on remodels now. I was very pleased! He arrived on time for our estimate and was very straightforward and professional about what he could do for us. We agreed on a start date, and spent a few e-mails adjusting the work contract until we had a firm agreement. He can do whatever you need done, and if there are items you want to do to save money, he's fine with that as well. He and his crew had the bathroom demo and drawn out in a day, and already had completed the plumbing changes and drywall repairs. He called and walked me through some of the previously unseen issues to see how I wanted to proceed. They then moved on to making a concrete shower pan, installing new tile throughout the shower and floor. We purchased our own bathroom vanity and put it together and he installed it. Within no time at all, we have a new, spectacular master bathroom. Throughout the whole process, he kept the area clean and more importantly, kept me updated on how everything was working out. If he came across anything that needed clearance, he called me first instead of just going ahead and doing it. Nothing but positive things to say. Highly recommended. read more

5*****+++++ To begin with, Kent is great about staying in touch via text, and arrived on time. Kent came out and looked at my "punch list" and one by one, every item was checked off. I was impressed, as he knew exactly what he was doing on a variety of different projects. He wasted no time, was quiet, picked up and kept every space tidy as he went along. So glad I am able to leave a great review of Kent's handyman services. I found him here on yelp with a 5-star rating, and I wasn't disappointed! Kent worked on installing some wrought iron fixtures on a newly installed wood floor, and the work was immaculate. He also installed a new wireless doorbell (which he also shopped for and provided) to replace our broken system. Kent is a great guy - honest, hardworking, and very handy! Kent provides a great service. Great communication. This was a big project for us completely remodeling our townhome. We had 2 bathrooms, a large area of tiling, kitchen counter tops and backsplash, replaced all trim and repainted. Kent gave us a schedule but always accommodated our additions and changes. On the rare occasion where one of his subcontractors couldn't fit our exact timing ( usually after I changed or added something), he communicated revised dates very clearly and then met the schedule he provided. So refreshing after other experiences we have had. The end result is really fantastic. Beautiful tiles, quartz countertops, new bath and shower all better than expected. Thank you Kent! read more

Kent helped us out with a remodel project that included new flooring throughout and complete bathroom renovations and took about a month to complete. Kent was referred to us by friend who had experience. He was extremely professional in every aspect from the time of estimate to completion of the job. He was very clear in cost and estimation. He was on time, courteous and very neat. His staff was excellent and meticulous. He was kind in referring us to other contractors for work outside his scope who proved to be excellent as well. I find it interesting that the only negative reviews are from folks who never even worked with him. We tend to know what we want, but are willing to leave the technical decisions to the experts. I found him to be knowledgable and detailed, giving sound experienced advice and will continue to utilize him for future projects. read more

Kent has been doing various home repairs for our family for about 10 years. Sure, he can fix a sink or hang a ceiling fan, but he has done so much more for us!
