Nevermind 5/5, this is a 10/10. The views are divine. You order and sit down. Food is killer and the drinks are awesome. The brown sugar espresso was so good. Tried a bunch of dishes and you really can't go wrong. Only minor feedback is that they didn't have menus for the line, which made it hard to decide due to the tv menus changing. Also there is a 2 hr limit on the tables and they will hold you to it.

This was a great last minute brunch find! We were looking for a spot where we didn't need reservations with a beautiful view and we hit the jack pot! The hostess was so nice she cleaned a table next to the glass panel with a view for us when I asked for a nice table closest to the edge. The food was amazing! You could see the paragliders as you enjoy your meal and it was such a good experience for my husband and I. We got lucky with the parking but they do offer valet. Definitely recommend the BLT avocado toast. My husband also loved his burrito. He wasn't a huge fan of his coffee but overall a great experience.

Destiny's Coast is a beautiful restaurant that has pretty views! The Sunday evening I dined here Kevin was our server and he provided wonderful service. Food and drinks were scrumptious and the ambiance was nice. My only gripe was there was a strict manager who was asking us if we were dining when we stepped away to take sunset pics near the edge which was a bit offensive as we were dining there. I think they were regulating randoms who walked in to take pictures so they would kick them out, but we were dining guests so that caught me a bit off-guard since it was not only rude, but embarrassing and uncalled for as we had a table and were paying patrons there and all. Like excuse me?

Breakfast with a view - breakfast burrito and protein bowl

Came here on Monday for breakfast. For a wonderful place. It has specifically reserved parking for the customers. You order at the counter and they bring food for you. You select your own seating. The views are amazing, definitely hard to beat such views. The menu is definitely on expensive side but you are paying for the view as well. They have a pretty decent menu. My husband had breakfast burrito and I had a protein bowl with quinoa and chicken. We also had a green smoothie and a cappuccino. Food was fresh and very tasty. Service was pretty good as well. Definitely a good experience.

Is this place cheap? NO. Is the food delicious and portions are big? YES. Can't beat the view and atmosphere. Service is friendly. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you at the self seating patio, which is dog friendly. Ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Definitely not dots on a plate. Food was unexpectantly hearty and yummy.

Destiny Coast is one of the many amazing brunch places that has a stunning ocean view that San Diego has to offer! This place is relatively new, so it's not super crowed, YET! We came on a Sunday morning, around 10 am. There are still plenty of street parking along the road. They offer valet parking if you are preferred. The place has an interesting set up where they operate more like a cafe where you order inside at the cashier, then they bring food and coffee to the table. You find a table on your own, so limited service for people who enjoy a more relaxing and free brunch style. I was surprised to see coffee to be served in the to-go cups. That, in my opinion, drops its quality despite they offer quite a variety of interesting coffee and drinks options. For the food, they are decent. They have somewhat limited breakfast/brunch menu compared to other full serviced brunch restaurants. We overall enjoyed the breakfast here and really loved the outdoor patio and the beautiful view. One thing that we weren't happy about is that they kept pushing us out. We were disappointed that our conversation had to cut short. They could have given us some warning instead of just grabbing all the plates then asked us to leave. Something to expect if you plan to stay here for a while.

A good place with a view to have breakfast. The service was good. Walked right up and got a seat right away. The parking here is a little challenging, it's mainly valet parking but you can park on the street and walk down. Came here for breakfast not a wide variety of breakfast options. The breakfast burritos we got were huge, definitely a shareable plate. We also shared the praline pecan cinnamon roll, was pretty good. Thank you Destiny Coast for your hospitality and a great view while we enjoyed our breakfast.

Good view while enjoying our breakfast. Be sure to get here early as there is limited parking. This place also gets packed so one early if you want a good seat. But honestly every seat is a good seat here. We shared the breakfast burrito and the praline pecans cinnamon roll. Both were pretty tasty.

The view is absolutely spectacular and the food was wonderful! Service was friendly. The only problem, and it's a BIG one, is the parking. There are maybe 10 parking spaces in the lot which will undoubtedly be full when you arrive. I got stuck with a train of other cars trying to turn around in an extremely small lot. People were honking and yelling at each other to move, but there was nowhere to go. It was very stressful! After I finally escaped the lot, I went up the hill and into the residential neighborhood above the restaurant and found what seemed like the last spot. Then I had to make my way back down to the restaurant which was a bit of a trek (in heels ) The website is definitely misleading. See photo. I would definitely return for the food and the view but they have to fix that parking problem first 100%!

Food was good too

Absolutely stunning outdoor patio with views of Scripps Pier and the gliders from Torrey Pines. The sausage stuffed dates were certainly unique and delicious with fennel and pumpkin seeds. The short ribs were tender with a creamy polenta and kale salad. I didn't think the olives went particularly well with the short ribs but overall it was delicious. The olive oil cake was moist with a smooth meringue topping. The espresso used for the affogato was a bit too bitter for my liking but the ice cream was yummy. Definitely would return especially to try brunch.

We were scouring through Yelp to find a new restaurant to try out. We found Destiny Coast to be on the list of eateries with a view! Our GPS took us to the first entrance. The sign indicated the restaurant, but it was for deliveries only! It's technically not the restaurant's fault, but it seemed challenging at that moment. After turning around and took the second entrance, we found it! The parking lot was small. That's free parking. There's paying parking on the main street in front of the restaurant entrance. As we walked in, we were quickly greeted by several staff members. We grabbed a menu and stood in line to order. We ended up ordering the Orchard Chicken Salad Croissant and the Coastal Chickpea & Salmon bowl. We also ordered the Sunrise Latte, Purple Haze Latte, and two of the chef's specials of the cinnamon rolls. After ordering, they handed us a number. They told us they would deliver our order at our table. I believe the dinner service is the table service. OHMYGOODNESS!! The food was very fresh and delicious! My croissant had the outside crunch to it. The inside was very moist and buttery tasting. Everything was made with love! The main seating area is within ocean view. It was nice to sit and chat with the soft ocean waves in the background. It was a beautiful lunch day!! After our lunch, we moved over to the couch seating area to finish our coffee and watch the waves. There's a heater, but it wasn't needed that day. Overall, we truly enjoyed our meal with the beautiful view. Parking is a little tight. Price wise?!?! A little on the high side, however, you're paying for the ocean views! Also, everything is higher everywhere. This was well worth the visit. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat.

I found this place on Instagram and wanted a brunch spot with a nice view for my birthday. They do have parking, but we parked on the street and walked a little. It wasn't too bad at all. I didn't try any food this time, but I did have two Bloody Marys (I love a good Bloody, and it was my birthday after all), and they were great. My boyfriend got a coffee and said it was very good as well. The service was nice, the view was beautiful, and the overall vibe was great. We sat by the fire pit area (it was turned off since it was daytime and hot out), and it was such a nice atmosphere. We took a walk afterward to enjoy the views even more. Would definitely go back and try more items next time!

The ravioli was the standout of the night, thin pasta with just enough filling for a delightful bite. The bucatini all'amatriciana wasn't quite what I'm accustomed to, the guanciale was ground rather than diced, and the sauce leaned more toward a meat sauce with an oily finish, not really my style, though the pasta itself was cooked well al dente. The steak, on the other hand, was excellent. Cocktails were great, and the staff were attentive throughout. For dessert, the trio was a nice way to sample a few things, though I wish they offered smaller sampler portions instead of full-size pieces. The Basque cheesecake was excellent and the semifreddo was perfect with a nice crust. The chocolate torte was good but couldn't compete with the other two. Overall a strong dinner spot in La Jolla, especially for pasta lovers and sunset views.

We called an hour ahead to reserve a table and luckily they had availability. We ordered the crudo and octopus as appetizers. The crudo was served with fresh tuna topped with a sweet melon sauce (not to my liking, but still appreciated). The octopus was delicious. For our entrees, we ordered the pistachio pesto pizza, raviolli, and beef ziti. The pizza was my favorite (i love anything pistachio) especially enjoyed the pistachio pesto. I appreciate the thin dough of raviolli and the ziti was good. Overall food was good. Our server's name was Kevin, he was friendly and gave great service.

It appears to have less of a Mexican influence and more of a rustic Californian vibe. We opted to dine inside vs outside and we were seated right away. The ambience was beautiful and enjoyed the fireplace. Our server was Ivan who greeted us and took our orders promptly. My daughter ordered a kids cheeseburger and we requested to add lettuce and tomato (which was an additional $2). This was not a big deal, but I wish that additional charge was communicated to us for transparency purposes.. more on that later. We also ordered the Kale Caesar salad which was tasty and what you would expect. I ordered the braised osso bucco which was personally recommended by Ivan. The short rib was good but the portion was small. The polenta was a bit pasty and had a texture reminiscent of refried beans. The side of beans and roasted peppers were the least favorable part of the dish though they looked like they would be good. I would've much rather had mashed potatoes. We also ordered the smoked half chicken which was just fine, but nothing to write home about. As for drinks, I ordered the rancho flower margarita which was recommended by the server but was a little too sweet for my liking. My partner ordered a Diet Coke ($6) which was from a fountain machine so when we asked for a refill, we were surprised we were charged for the refill (additional $6) since the server didn't mention that there would be an additional charge for a refill. Again, not a big deal.. but it would've been appreciated if he mentioned this first. My biggest complaint is that we were charged for not only the Diet Coke plus refill but we were also CHARGED FOR A COKE WE NEVER ORDERED. I was trying to get our server's attention to address this, but he was so Busy attending to his other tables that I just gave up so I could enjoy the rest of my evening. In short, this place is okay food wise. Know you will get charged for soda refills and make sure to review your receipt for erroneous charges.
