Best chocolate cake with chocolate icing, ever!!! Their fudge bombs are excellent. Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing is very moist and the icing is very good. Their quiches are the best I have ever had. I ordered them for a function at work and everybody thought that they were the best ever. read more

Once again Desserts etc, has provided delicious and quality treats for our family gathering. The staff was very helpful in guiding me to make selections for several dietary concerns, and be able to accommodate those people. Along with that, they made and decorated a delicious couples cake for our daughters wedding, that was the exact flavor they had originally chosen when the wedding was to be held in another state. Thanks everyone, for making the day special despite all the adjustments they had to endure planning and then replanning their wedding, during a pandemic. read more

3.5 stars. The desserts here are absolutely amazing. They both look and taste amazing. I've gotten cupcakes, brownies, coffees, teas and more here and have loved them all. The reason for my deductions is the limited space and the unfriendly staff. The entire place is cramped and not made for more than 3 parties. They have steps that lead to an upstairs area, but customers are not aloud up them. They need to have it roped off or at least a sign, because it is very misleading. Also, the staff is very unfriendly. Whenever you ask a question they seem annoyed. Whenever you stare into the case, they seem annoyed. Overall the staff just acts like they have better things to be doing. While I love this place, the staff keeps me away! read more

Have been coming here for a few months, everything is wonderful... only one problem, there is always a line which speaks of the authenticty, quality of service, and atmosphere here ! read more

I ordered a cake for a baby shower and felt the person working with me wasn't all that helpful. I gave her a detailed sketch and web pix of how I wanted the cake to look, a 2-tier fondant-covered cake based on Kate Aspen's Woodland Baby theme. The flowers on the bottom layer were supposed to be kind of vining around the layer with a pink fondant bow on the top. The bow was nicely done, but the other decoration was disappointing. Instead of intricate vining and texture, the flowers were just painted on, very basic flower shape on straight, green vertical "stems." I had thought they would offer some design help, which they didn't, told me that textured fondant flowers were "not in their wheelhouse." In addition to the extremely poor food from Hershey Pantry, the food part of the shower was extremely mediocre and disappointing. This is not a high-end cake place. The actual cake was just ok. read more

I've been here half a dozen times over the course of a year and I've noticed a pattern: unfriendly, annoyed workers. It's very disappointing because the desserts are great and it's a nice place. But I've consistently felt a negative energy there. Ask about ingredients: annoyed. Ask for drink customizations: annoyed. Change the culture. Be friendly and wanting to help. Wanting to make it better. Make Hershey a friendly place to visit. read more

Bagel wasn't anything special. Frappuccino kind of bitter. Not as good as Starbucks. Other bakery items looked great and outside seating was enjoyable. I will go back but just order different items next time. read more

Love the cozy atmosphere this cafe provides. I've visited here multiple times and got the lemon bars, fudge bombs, and brownies. All were delicious! They also have great teas and coffees which can be customized a ton. The bagels with cream cheese are also amazing. There is lots of dessert variety too which can suit your needs. read more

Cute little coffee shop in Hershey, PA. You'd expect to find a coffee shop like this in NYC and not in central PA. Nice decor, decent pastry and beverage selection - some unique. I ordered a few items to go. The peanut butter chocolate cupcake was good. The cupcake was moist not too sweet and had the hershey peanut butter cup on top with peanut butter frosting. It was good. The lemon tart was pretty good. wish it had more crust on the bottom. It was not too tart, so that made up for it. The chocolate chip cookie dough brownie was delicious, and I don't care much for brownies. The coffee was Peet's, and was good. There are promotions daily. Today was BOGO cupcakes, tomorrow is BOGO muffins, etc. What I like about Desserts Etc is that their pastries don't appear overly sweet like many places. Pastry prices are on par or cheaper than Starbucks. Pastries are comparatively larger portions. Definitely would come again when visting Hershey park! read more

I like Desserts Etc. very much. While their cupcakes, bagels, and other pastries are yummy, I most often come here for a salad and coffee at lunchtime. Excellent coffee. Good service - the people behind the counter are always very nice. I've also ordered 2 trays of chocolate covered strawberries from them for different events & they were a hit each time. I really like the atmosphere here too. :) read more

As a gluten free customer, I love this place! I've had many of their options, which are all great. The gf peanut butter cookie is a great staple. ..if you're ever there and see they have "GF Banana Fluffernutter" cupcake, buy it!! you'll never know it's gluten free! So happy for a place that has some amazing options for those with limited diets read more

They make a pretty decent Latte. There dessert case is simply breathtaking. The desserts look amazing and everything is so we'll organized and put together. The desserts taste amazing. The prices aren't to bad. Your looking at about $2.50-$5.00 per dessert. I thought the staff was friendly. Since my visit was in the spring outdoor seating was available yay! There is not a lot of seating inside so I might get it to go if I was coming during a cooler time of the year. So if your a coffee or dessert lover you gotta check them out! read more

Bagel wasn't very good at all. The cannoli was not half bad. Very solid. Not the best but by no means bad. Bagel is 1.5 stars and I'm being generous, Cannoli 3 three stars. Giving this a very solid 2 to 2.5 stars. read more

They added seating! Awesome. The outdoor seating area is really nice when the weather's good (and before the bugs invade), but they also added indoor tables which greatly improve your chances of sitting down to enjoy your treat. Good work, Desserts! Coffee continues to be reasonable but they could improve considerably by adding whole milk to their offerings. Real espresso bars are, after all, shifting to even fattier milk than whole (!) in many places. read more

Most amazing cookies, phenomenal mousse, coffee was to die for, and the service was A++.

Bought large order of assorted cookies. They were all stale, not wrapped properly, tasted like they were made the week prior when I ordered them. read more

This is a cute little shop that is across the street from the parent "The Hershey Pantry". The interior is cozy, with couches and tables. The desserts look amazing, and completely reinforced my impression of Hershey (chocolate/dessert heaven). I have to say though, I got a scone with bacon bits inside (yes, it's savory, I know, but it was also like 10am), and I just wasn't jiving with it. The bacon bits were chewy, and broke up the texture of the scone, but I felt like the whole dish didn't go quite well together. read more

I used them for my wedding (3 flavors of cake pops and a regular wedding cake with strawberry filling) The cake pops were a huge hit and they were very fresh and moist on the inside. The cake itself was incredible and I forgot how good the filling was until we did the cake cutting and it was smashed onto my face lol. They were very good with communication and the tasting itself when we were trying places out. read more

Their quiche is delicious! We got 2 mini cheesecakes from here that did not taste like cheesecake. Strike two read more

I was excited to try this place due to the great reviews and recommendations. I ordered a fruit smoothie peach and ginger, it was the most bland thing ever, so I switched it out for a crispy bar and carrot cake muffin. The crispy bar had a slight stale taste, and the muffin was just ok, however the icing was odd in consistency. Also I explicitly asked are there raisins in the muffin, I was told no, but it indeed has raisins -__- I am not sure what the hype is about, but I will not be going back. The prices are high, and I don't think the taste is to match. read more

Hands down one of my favorite places in the area. Desserts Etc is SO GREAT! I love their peanut butter bombs, London fog cupcakes (when they have them) and everything else is also amazing. They have such a great selection of pastries and desserts and have great daily deals. Also love grabbing a coffee and a dessert from them, yeah I REALLY love this place!! read more

Cute little shop, great spot for coffee. It's kind of easy to miss on that stretch of 422, but definitely worth searching for.

I love the Hershey Pantry and whoever came up with the idea of opening a desert and coffee shop deserves an award. In this case it is the best desert shops around and the coffee is superb. I look forward to future trips. Because of the rating I'm giving I should mention that the service is awesome! read more

Amazing pastries!! Came here as tourists for a late and pastries. We wanted an apple pie to take home but they didn't have any. They have a sister location though so the manager called them to hold the one apple pie they had left. She then went above and beyond and went and picked it up for us while we had our coffee. I would be a frequent visitor if I lived anywhere near. Highly recommend this establishment!! read more

Used to be good, now it's just another overpriced tourist trap. The prices are constantly getting raised and all the good deals are going away. The items are good, but not good enough for what they want to charge. I've been going here since they opened, but I probably won't be back. They don't care about Hershey residents. read more

Too much sugar and icing on everything. I'd like to buy a cookie but I can't because it's got as much icing on it as it does cookie. I've gotten other things that are just packed to the gills with sweetness, cream cheese etc. ok place but there are better in the area for the price. One thing worth noting is that the fudge bombs here are worth coming for. read more

This review comes after a few years of steady patronage. This bakery has laughably bad service. I don't specifically know what the issue is that they have with their customers, but at this point, it is insulting. First scenario: you come in and know exactly what you want to order. At best, the person behind the counter will attempt to smile as you make your purchase. What usually happens: they will literally scowl at you while ringing you up. Second scenario: you come in, and since it is a bakery with many different items on display, you take a minute to stand in the back and pick out your items. You are out of the way and not obstructing the line from moving. Have a question about what's in the item? Honestly don't even ask. They are so incredibly rude and will actively sigh at you with annoyance. I don't understand it. I used to try and be pleasant, smiling and thanking them profusely. But after years of this type of treatment, I've kind of given up. I also used to think they had a problem with me, but I have observed them treat the other people in line this way also, so it's just their overall attitude. They simply do not want to be bothered. Also, on two occasions they have charged me for an item I did not purchase, and rather than question it and deal with their disgust, I just let it be. As for their food - really a hit or a miss. The baked oatmeal is consistently good. Some of the cupcakes are well done. A couple of the breakfast items (scone, sticky buns) are decent. A lot of the items are average or cloyingly sweet. Overall, my advice? Skip it and check out the much better sister establishments - Hershey Pantry and Irv's Pub. Great food (the Pantry serves the baked oatmeal as well) with staff that isn't actively rude to their customers. read more

I wanted to order a custom cake for my son's first birthday because we like their desserts. I went into the store and inquired two weeks out and was given a card and told to email the person who does it. I then called one week out to make sure I still had time and was assured they needed 72 hours notice and to email. So - I emailed a note to the baker with photos and a subject line that said "Custom Cake Order for 8/29". I had a number of email clarifications with Ashley and was pleased with her help in getting what I wanted. I called to see what time the cake would be ready on 8/29 and it wasn't even started because I didn't give a date. This was hours before 30 people were coming to my house. The girl on the phone laughed and asked if they could put something together for me. The cake I was ordering was 190.00 it was not a cheap kid's birthday cake and this was my customer experience. I suggest working on customer communication outside an email message - or having some reading help when processing important orders. How I was treated was disappointing and we will not be going back to any affiliated businesses. We used to frequent the Hershey Pantry and Desserts regularly. read more

One of the BEST desserts in Hershey, PA. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. The store scent is delightful. Absolutely the biggest waste of money! The cake looks like it was done by a 2 yr old. I ordered this for my moms 75th bday and had my daughter pick it up and she brought it home and I just cannot believe what a pile of crap! I made arrangements to take this all the way to TN for my moms bday and what a total embarrassment This is going to be!!! I could of got a crappy cake with crappy writing anywhere and prolly cost me half the price! NEVER EVER TRUST THEM WITH ANY IMPORTANT EVENT IN YOUR LIFE!!! the name on the cake is Sierra and I don't know if the did the writing but if she did she needs to go back to cake decorating school! Not to mention the women on the phone are completely RUDE and don't care if your happy or not since they already got your money! I wouldn't recommend it his place to my enemy!! Horrible horrible and now it's too late for me to get anything else!!! I'm so disgusted and so mad! I wouldn't buy a cookie from them if they were the last place on the face of the earth to get one! read more

Rather disappointed. Prices are too high--if they're that high, I want to be wowed. I tried two cupcakes and a whoopie pie. One of the cupcakes was well below par. The other was maybe a bit above average, as was the whoopie pie. But again, for the price, nothing spectacular. read more

Poor service. Ordered maple spice cappuccino, peanutbutter silk pie and chocolate peanutbutter cupcake to go. Girl says chocolate cupcake, we say no, peanutbutter chocolate. She gave us the chocolate silk pie on a plate. Reminded her it's to go. Ok. She comes back with both desserts boxed up. I ask her if she gave me the peanutbutter silk pie, because it looks like she had the chocolate one. She did correct that error (glad I was watching) then to top it off, my cappuccino is not flavored at all. Very disappointing. They were not overly busy. I didn't bother to go back in with the flavorless beverage. Maybe this was her first day. But I won't be back anytime soon. Two stars because I took a bite of my peanutbutter silk pie in the car, and it was yummy. read more
