I picked up the gluten-free personal cake I ordered on Thursday
Eugenia H.

The place to order or get a great variety of tempting sweet treats for any time, but especially for celebrations. Today, in search of two different birthday treats, I decided on cupcakes and a cheesecake. Luckily, the items I decided on are always available to purchase, and there's no pre-ordering required. Generally, the service is quick here as long as you take a number when you enter the bakery. Lots of ideas for sweet holidays, hostess gifts, or stocking stuffers. A fun, festive atmosphere with holiday decor, you can't help but be in the Christmas spirit here at PA Bakery.

The cookie cake I custom ordered is beyond perfect. Thank you so much to the amazing decorators.

The service is quick and easy, once you walk-in take a number and wait to be called. The bakery has ample amount of people behind the counter that are ready and willing to help. I suggest if you are in Camp Hill area stop-in for plenty of tasty treats. My fav is the Cinnamon Raisin danish(Deelish) and the carrot cake yum.

I recently placed an order with The Pennsylvania Bakery, as I'm traveling to Georgia to see family this week. I ordered 2 large pecan sticky bun rings and peanut butter buns. Autumn was so nice and accommodating over the phone when I placed the order. I had asked that the sticky buns be wrapped so they stay fresh. Autumn assured me they would be baked the morning of pickup and wrapped for me for travel. Again, when my husband and I went to pick up the items today, everyone in the store was so nice and made sure we were being helped. My husband also purchased some Whoopie Pies. The bakery is always very nice and clean, all of their baked goods displayed so nicely! Thank you!!!!

Spoiled scone and chocolate chip loaf cake

Hello, today I purchased a scone that has a bitter sour taste, it wasn't fresh, it was spoiled. Last month I purchased a chocolate chip loaf cake, I put it in the frig, next day it had mold on it. I do have pictures attached. And I did call to advise the manager to remove the scones from the case so no one else would buy them and be disappointed. I asked for a manager, but the woman sounded like she didn't believe me. I advised her she should taste one. I look forward to hearing from someone with more customer service experience.

Completely disappointed. We would go to PA Bakery to get cakes and desserts for every special occasion. It was/is more expensive but the quality (creativeness, design, taste) were the best, so it felt like money well spent. My husband ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for our soon to be 5 year olds party. It's an astrobot theme and he gave them photos of what it was. We asked to include a photo on the cake. All they did was scan the stupid photo on the cake and ice around the seams of the photo. They couldn't even blend the edges in or cut the photo sheet closer to the image to make it look better... or dye the icing blue/purple and add glitter to make it look like a galaxy behind him? It doesn't even look like they tried. it looks like a grocery store cake for $112! I could've done better myself but never would've guessed they'd be proud to let this leave their store simply based on how great their cakes & designs were in the past. Acceptable for a $60 grocery store cake... not a bakery.

Great bakery with many options! For breakfast, they have unique breakfast sandwiches with things like pizza bread. Bagels and coffee are also available. They have unique bakes as well, some of the ones I have seen are: giant stuffed cookies, peanut butter cake shaped like a reeses cup, cupcakes decorated like characters, star wars cookies (May the 4th be with you). Some classics I recommend are: carrot cake and the fruit tart. If you want to try multiple things, they have an option for a dozen mini pastries where you can try multiple things.

Sugar cookie

I used to come here with my friend 7 or 8 years ago when I still lived in the area. It used to be AMAZING! A local favorite. Last year, my friend bought a ton of sugar cookies with buttercream for my daughter and they were absolutely wonderful. I'm not sure if they're under new management, but the quality has gone WAY downhill. We traveled to the area to visit family and bought several sugar cookies for my daughter, to include the watermelon one pictured. It was covered in white chocolate(?) And the sprinkles are buttercream. It looked like they brushed food coloring on the actual cookie... We ordered several other cookies and they were all dry and not flavorful. I was super excited to try a lemon one and, much to my surprise, it didn't taste at all like lemon. I'm not sure how much my mom paid for everything, but judging by the other reviews, it was too much. Unfortunately, we probably will not be back.

This is what they served me. This is carrot cake believe it or not absolutely do not recommend this place.

I called two weeks ago and asked for six cupcakes that were carrot cake for my birthday. when I got there today I pulled a number thinking I would get some cookies. They skipped my number and called the next person so I was like OK I'll just go over and get my order. so I went over to the counter and stood there for five minutes being ignored. Then when they pulled my stuff up, it wasn't packaged yet. I told them when I'd be there and I was so disappointed with the way it looked. There was no carrot on top of my cupcakes. It looks like white dog turd on brown patch of dirt. I asked them would you put this in your display case and they said No. But you would sell this six cupcakes for $100 to me like this and she said well we can fix it. We can put some sprinkles on it. I'm like it's too late. You already ruined it and it's still not packaged and I told you I'd be here at a certain time. I absolutely do not recommend this place at all.

Large Eclair Gingerbread Cheesecake Santa Cupcake

My boyfriend and I bring his daughter here often because she loves picking out a cupcake. Their cupcakes and cakes are very nicely decorated but just average tasting. Not bad, but they look much better than they taste. There are a few items that I've had that were pretty good and I've enjoyed. A banana cream cheesecake, their fruit tarts, and their pumpkin Whoopi pies are a few of their things I've liked. I'll certainly keep trying different things!!

Strawberry shortcake

We got some treats here today and they were overall pretty great. The appearance of the place is absolutely darling and very beautiful. They had an extremely large selection especially considering the fact us was 30 minutes before closing. The customer service was good. The Cookie Monster decorated cookie was 4/5, it was good tasting but the cookie was kinda hard. It was super cute though. The pistachio macron tasted nothing like pistachio but lucky it was decent 3/5. The strawberry shortcake was 4/5 it wasn't as sweet as I am used to but it was good. The cupcake was alright tasting but the texture was amazing. It was a very moist cupcake 4/5. I recommend giving this place a shot.we got two other things but didn't try them yet. We are excited to try them.

Very tight parking place. Good dessert, some priced a tad high, some reasonably priced. The breakfast sandwich menu looks good.

Massimo’s Italian Bakery - rainbow cookes - best I've ever had anywhere

Massimo’s Italian Bakery

I decided it was finally time for a little solo date night... with Massimos Italian Bakery. Nearly…read more6pm on a Friday, walking in alone, knowing I could choose anything I wanted and then sit at a cozy little table to destroy every last crumb in absolute peace? That's my love language. When I arrived, I was person three of three in the small bakery. Quiet and calm, except for a man around my age and a younger boy chatting at a table about basically every topic under the sun. The vibe was gentle, warm, and perfectly unhurried. I took my time browsing their pastry cases--very full pastry cases--and genuinely could have eaten one of everything. But tonight was a dessert-only mission, so I narrowed it down to two knockout items. First up: the easiest decision I've made in months. A HUGE chocolate-dipped cannoli roll filled with hazelnut crème. This masterpiece was absolutely heavenly. The chocolate coating was thick and rich (the kind that snaps when you bite it). The cannoli shell stayed crunchy, which is rare and beautiful. And the hazelnut crème? Smooth, whipped, sweet in that refined way where you feel delighted, not diabetic. Perfection. My second pick was smaller but impossible to leave behind: a Pistachio roll with glossy sweet frosting on the outside, perched on a crunchy cannoli puff, absolutely stuffed with pistachio filling. And let me tell you--this filling was to die for. Sweet, silky, pistachio-forward without veering into "pure nut paste" territory. Pistachio in baked goods can be hit-or-miss for me, but Massimo's nailed the balance. Honestly, they've nailed everything I've ever had from here. My total came to $10.20 including tip, and the value felt spot-on for the size, flavor, and quality of the pastries. Plenty of free parking right out front since it's in a small strip mall. And can we talk about their hours? They're open 7am-7pm, Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays), which is practically unheard of for local bakeries. Those long hours make Massimo's an unbeatable post-dinner dessert stop or a sweet late-afternoon pick-me-up. Friendly staff, gorgeous pastries, shelves of grab-and-go treats, and the peaceful ambiance of a bakery that doesn't rush you. My first solo trip definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend treating yourself. You deserve it.

Second visit in a month. Third flavor tried. That should tell you everything…read more This time we went for the Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Bundtlet ($6.75) -- classic white cake filled with creamy cheesecake, swirled and drizzled with real strawberry glaze, and topped with their signature cream cheese frosting. Moist, rich, and just sweet enough without tipping into sugar overload. We shared one for dessert, and it was the perfect size for two people who want to feel slightly virtuous about splitting dessert (don't worry, we still scraped the frosting off the container). The shop is tucked into a quiet strip mall but strategically placed near Capital City Mall, Trader Joe's, and more -- meaning it's almost too easy to "accidentally" stop in. Flavors change weekly, so there's always something new to try. We've had three now and still can't pick a favorite because they've all been stellar. Friendly staff, dangerously good cake, and a raffle for free Bundts (yes, we dropped our business cards in). We'll be back... probably every week.

This was my second visit to Dalicia -- my first was for dessert (which unfortunately didn't win me…read moreover), and this time my adventure buddy was set on giving their dinner menu a try. Menu unseen, expectations unclear...so off we went! Knowing from past experience that the restaurant can feel drafty, I arrived layered up and ready for a cozy-but-practical evening on a cold February night. We walked in around 6pm without a reservation and were seated without issue as we were the only two people inside other than folks working. We started with the flatbread appetizer (feta, spinach, artichoke, mozzarella, mushrooms, peppers, scallions, turkey pepperoni on flaky pastry - $8), and honestly -- this was the highlight of the night. The pastry was thin and crisp, piled generously with toppings, and finished with what tasted like a garlicky sauce that brought everything together beautifully. Light, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. In hindsight, I should have just ordered a second one and called it dinner while things were still making me do the happy food dance. For my entrée, I ordered the Turkey Pesto Crepe ($12.25), described as sliced turkey, mushrooms, tomatoes, provolone mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto. On paper, this sounded fantastic -- a combination that should have delivered distinct flavors and textures. Unfortunately, everything blended together into one uniform consistency, and the individual ingredients didn't stand out the way I had hoped. It wasn't inedible -- I just lost interest after a few bites because nothing felt memorable. My adventure buddy ordered the Sarma (Stuffed Cabbage) ($18.95), described as cabbage stuffed with beef, onions, and rice, served with potatoes (his choice instead of rice). Again, the ingredients sounded promising, but the overall experience landed in the "fine" category -- nothing wrong, but nothing particularly exciting either. The potatoes fell into the same space: acceptable, but lacking seasoning or personality that might elevate the dish. We paired dinner with Pepsi Zero ($2.25 each -- note for fellow Diet Pepsi fans, they don't carry it here). Total for the evening came to about $55 including tip. It may simply not be my flavor style, but I'm always glad to support local and try something new.
