As a professional interior designer I've never been so talked down to by another business. We've won multiple southern California and national design awards and was in the market for them to install furniture for 3 multi-million dollar model homes, I also invited them to quote out a smaller single home model project as well. Initially when I called a got a very friendly woman who asked me to send over my information for the first three homes, which I promptly did. I called the following day, Friday, to confirm that she had received the information at which point she told me it would take 24-48 hours to get a quote but she was working on it. I was ok with this at the time and at that point decided to also have them bid out the smaller model home as well so I sent over that bid sheet and floor plan. Tuesday came rolling around and I still hadn't heard anything from them so I decided to follow up where I spoke with a new woman, I believe her name was Susan. I have never been so talked down to by a vendor. Not only did she claim she never received the first request for bid that the other woman had already confirmed, but then she lied and tried to say that she responded with a bunch of questions Monday and I never replied to her. First off I'm the catch all email for my company so if she had even gotten the domain name close I still would have received those questions. Finally, the last straw was when she went on to say that quotes now take a week to get back, which is unheard of in this business and totally contradicts what her co-worker had already told me. And then she went on to say that she's not going to go out of her way to get us a quote as they've never worked with us before. Well now they never will and I'll make sure none of the other designers in our community use them as well. It's just disgusting to be talked down to by someone who you we're going to be giving thousands of dollars of business to. read more
