This is what a nail salon in LA should be! Incredible service, beautiful salon, comfortable chairs, extremely clean and you can even project your favorite YouTube clip through their large screen TV using their free Wifi! I had V do my pedicure and Kim do my manicure. Both are magnificent. The husband and wife team who own and manage the salon are simply lovely. Can't wait to make this a monthly habit. read more

Fantastic nail art talent. However, the general nail quality is ok. Walk-ins are also priority over appointments. They are not on top of their schedule so they don't know when/if someone is coming in. I'm pretty busy so this method doesn't work for me. But if you are looking for great nail art and don't mind this, it's worth a try. read more

Henry and the crew are the best. I got full service Brazilian Wax with Kim she made it very painless. Henry is also very accommodating and they took me right away. They have a good selection of colors and gel too. They did the best holographic nail for my lil sister. They are right next to the sushi. Enjoy the experience. read more

Sloppy sloppy sloppy, this guy is the worst person in this business I have ever seen in my entire life. He has ZERO customer service experience and all he cares about his TIP. Who asks for TIP upfront ( what a **k). He wants to twist his words and will apologize. His apologies will mean shit to you as he will repeat over and over. I don't what kind of world you live where sorry doesn't means ***t to you. Please NOTE: if you bring an accompanied a family or a friend, they will treat shit to them as "they are not paying to sit in their shitty saloon". Keep your sorry as to yourself because I don't think you have enough education to survive in customer service business. I would NEVER PAY a single dime to the guy who will force you to pay for the tip and even force you NOT TO get the STUPID service done. ALL HE CARES is TIP; please do loose your money while listening to his broken English if your planning to visit. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A NAIL SHOP!!!!!! Henry was EXTREMELY RUDE DISRESPECTFUL & DISCRIMINATING!!!!! I made an apt earlier in the day because I have a very busy schedule. I was about to arrive 3 minutes late so I called and ask if that would be ok and they said yes! So I rush to the salon & NO ONE greets me. Henry asks me what I want to get and as I am explaining to him what I want ... he tells me that I need to PAY BEFORE MY SERVICE !! I look at him so confused & offended (I was wearing sweats and a t-shirt+ I am mixed with puerto rican and african). I am extremely upset. I asked him why do I need to pay before? Henry then says "just in case you dont like my work, so you cant run out without paying". FIRST OF ALL I felt extremely DISRESPECTED!!! & Why would I not like your work??? If you cant do what I am asking THEN DONT DO IT! DONT TRY TO FORCE ME 2 PAY BEFORE MY SERVICE !! I usually have a regular nail lady that I pay over $160 for my nails & toes. Since I had an immediate photoshoot to do that day I couldnt see her because she was booked and I told her dont worry about it but she definitely ended up making time for me after hearing what I been through. After becoming furious at him, asking for his name .. he then began to yell at everyone in the Salon that I am crazy... Henry said "I will ban you from this shop" & He never gave me his name he just kicked me out& made me look crazy. Well I still found out your name &This was the ABSOLUTE WORST nail experience of my life. I will never EVER come back here. & To the other clients in the shop while I was there.. I am not crazy THIS MAN WAS TRYING TO FORCE ME TO PAY BEFORE MY SERVICE BASED ON MY LOOKS. I never write yelp reviews but with this terrible service.. I HAD TOO!!Suck my dick! read more

Love love this place....I have lived in this area for years and decided to try a new nail spot...and I must say they did not disappoint. The polish selection was dope and MiMi, Wendy, V and Kate took their time and made sure we left with smiles. Also can I mention they are so much fun! We laughed and talked the whole time. This definitely will be my new nail spot! Ken is the best nail artist I have seen in the LA area, his work is beautiful Thanks ladies!!!! and Ken!!! read more

This nail salon is a rip off. As they were doing my nails they kept cutting into my skin and not even apologizing for it. they work like machines and do not even acknowledge that they are touching a real persons hands and on top of that they charged me for many random things that they could not explain. read more

Good nail techs here. Katie and several others did great gels for me. They speak English way better than most and the owner is there, on the ball managing and working too. Friendly and professional. read more

My first visit here, I had an appointment but still had to wait 30 minutes to have anyone get started on my nails. I loved how my nails turned out, so just tried to give them a second chance. I called, and they told me to come in at 4. Then called back to tell me to come in early at 3:30. So I rush over there, only to sit there until 3:55 when I finally had It. I hate my time being wasted, and this place has now done It twice. Such a bummer! read more

I love coming to designer nails studio. Henry and his team are always so sweet. I have never been to a place that cares more about the customer. They make getting your nails done such a fun experience. There is always good music videos going on and it's such a lovely family environment. All the employees work so hard and stay late to make sure you are happy with your nails! Thank you Henry and everyone at the salon for such an amazing experience. read more

love this salon so much!! so friendly and amazing at what they do! henry is the bessssssst!!!!!

Amazing service! My nails are absolutely stunning and the people were so kind. Favorite place and also lots of parking available

This is by far the worst nail shop I have ever been too. They are rude and awful at nails. The woman who did my nails, did a manicure in 5 minutes, didn't know how to polish and when other customers walked in, she got up and said someone else would polish me. I was fine with that since it was sloppy and the polish didn't coat my entire nail. Well when 30 min went buy and no one was finishing me, I walked up to the man in the front who had just finished with his client. I asked him if he could finish polishing my nails- because I was doing it myself at that point. He began to yell at me, got aggressive and made a scene. He was beyond disrespectful and all in all a disgusting person. This is an embarrassing place of a nail salon thatshould not be in business. I am a paying customer and customer service is NOT a priority here. I'm a new mom with an hour and a half to spare to do something for myself and sadly they have ruined my day, my nails and my mood. AND I WAS VERY RESPECTFUL TILL YOU LASHED OUT ON ME. I sat quiet and painted my own nails for God's sake. You are an awful and unprofessional person. You can keep lying and I will happily keep calling you out. read more

Kim did a great job on my pedi. Katie did a great gel mani. Lots of attention to detail. I would recommend

Just moved into the neighborhood and found this gem. My nails both times I have gone to them looked amazing. Not only are they so friendly but a pleasure to chat with. Henry is a true artist at his craft! Defiantly recommend! read more

This review is long overdue! I moved to CA from the east coast a year ago and have struggled to find a decent nail studio near home. Last week I decided to try Designer Nail Studio and I will never go anywhere else. This was by far the friendliest, most welcoming salon I've ever been to. I was greeted by Henry (Nail ARTIST) and taken very good care of. The salon did not know it was my first time, yet they treated me like a regular. I walked in without an appointment, so a couple of people worked on my nails, but all of them were detailed and patient. Henry is the only person in the studio who does the nail art that you see on their website SO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! I can't stress this enough.... I saw a handful of people walk in expecting to get an elaborate design and were disappointed ( even angry)when they couldn't. Henry is amazing at what he does, and you must make an appointment so he can set aside the time to show you his talent. Every design/ writing on the nails is hand painted, full of detail, and stays looking like the day you got it for up to 3 weeks. You get more than what you pay for- REALLY! I've read through the negative reviews here and can tell you they come from similar disgruntled clients like the ones I saw when I went in. You cannot just walk in and expect these amazing designs to be completed in 30 min. Make an appointment, pick your design, and enjoy watching Henry master it. Thank you to everyone at the studio- I'm so happy with the service, hospitality, and attention I received. See you soon! read more

Wonderful place, nice people. They do great work every time! Love you Kati, Henri and Vy!

I have been going to Henry for 10 years and he is amazing! He is a true artist. My time is very limited and cannot fill every 2 weeks. His nails have lasted on me for 4-5 weeks without peeling up or breaking. Best of all, he doesn't hurt you when grinding your nails. He doesn't destroy your natural nail base. His nails never look thick and always look very natural. If you like to designs or crystals he's best in the business. He can hand paint pretty much anything you want. I gave up on having acrylic nails until my friend convinced me to give it one more try with Henry. I recommend him HIGHLY! read more

They did a terrific job on my nails they. Were absolutely nice and shiny!! And the customer service was good they even remembered my name and they gave u drinks and and was just a. Great experience read more

Henry is amazing! He does a great job and is super nice! I am very picky when it comes to my nails...and so is he! He uses the best, high quality products, which is why my nails always last and never lift! Although I get pink and white acrylic, which always looks beautiful (like a new set each time), I've seen his gel work on other clients. He is an artist!!! He is SO CREATIVE and his designs are amazing! He takes pride in his work and it shows! If you want gorgeous nails that last, in a beautiful and modern salon, done by a guy that really cares if you!'re happy, then go to Henry. He's the best!!! Also, Katie gives the best pedicures! read more

Everyone here is super nice. :) Making appointments was easy for Thursdays and Fridays. Weekends seems like it's busy. They were getting phone calls thought out my visit there. They take CC but would like tips to be cash. So far it's been day 3 and my nails look great. No issues with my Mani or pedicure. Would definitely recommend! read more

Very nice people. Henry took a good care of correcting a very bad job done by another salon. He takes the time to shape and sculpt and ultimately give you a beautiful "done by hand" design. This was my first time but I'll be back! read more

The worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I've been getting the same services done for almost 10 years and I've never left a negative review for ANYONE. We called early in the afternoon for a 5 pm appointment and they said they wouldn't have time until 6 so we said that was fine. We got there at 6:03 and didn't even get spoken to for the first few minutes. They never asked us for our name or phone number we put the appointment under and we didn't even start getting worked on for 45 minutes. They took a walk in who came in at the exact same time as us because she was a regular and greeted the owner by name. The lady that did my pedicure complained halfway through because they closed at 7:30 and it was now 8:00 and apparently she commutes an hour home like I wanted them to be late as hell on my appointment. My pedicure came out pretty bad so I had to ask someone else to fix it to still be charged full price, almost $60 for their most basic pedicure with one overlay. She cut me in multiple spots and told me if I wanted my callouses removed (a basic part of a pedicure) it was going to be an extra $10. My sister got an extra short, one color set which they charged her $65 and a color change on her pedicure which they charged $25. Overall I'm most sad because I really really liked this spot the first time I came and now I can't come back ): read more

Designer nail studio is absolutely the best! Henry is so sweet and kind and makes sure to really listen to what you want ! If your into the hottest nail trend go to him he is an expert in design and nail shaping . His wife katie always has a smile on her face and does an amazing job as well . The whole staff is expert and friendly . They take card but tip is cash so make sure you don't come in shocked, but if you are not prepared they do offer and atm machine . I've been to many many salons but no one has listen to what I need like designer nail studio ! If I could give 100 stars I would! read more
